LOVITA’S POV

" I need you to handle the prisoners at the KODA council jail," Conri instructed as he made the call to me early in the morning.

" Can I please ask why Alpha Conri?" I responded over the phone.

" I thought about it and it seems that all this danger makes me reveal myself more and more. And that means that all this was targeted. I want to sit on the fence for a while and monitor instead of facing every threat. If I let you all handle it, then the Golden Pack will have a strong defense. " I explained.

" I understand Alpha Conri but Maurice Isla is out of our league. Ma and I struggled to put the barrier and it keeps weakening and we have no idea why. Maurice keeps smiling and looking cynical. I am afraid that it’s only a matter of time before he escapes. The guards are fearful of him and it’s causing a stir in the KODA council"

" I see. " Conri responded.

" And one guard swore he heard them communicate with Alistar Alpha Conri " Lovita announced.

" I take back the words I said. I am on my way " He disconnected the call.

"What happened ?" Tharn asked as he moved close to my body and rubbed himself.

" Trouble at the KODA council of course "The Hotel responded.

" I need to go "I tried to get out of bed and they both pushed me down and descended on my mouth and the other on my cock. I could only grunt and pull them close to me. By the time we were done, I was already half an hour late. I rushed out of the apartment and drove like a madman to the KODA council and luckily we arrived at the same time with Conri and Lucian. Getting out of the car, I stood at the door as they alighted and walked towards me.

" Greetings Alpha, Lucian" I nodded.

" You seem out of breath" Lucian teased and I could only chuckle knowing well he could smell the scent of my mate’s desires on me.

" I left the apartment in a hurry, " I responded.

" Come on let us get over with this madness " Conri spoke up and we entered the KODA council jail and found Everest and Hunter standing by the steel door waiting.

" Alpha Conri " They both piped.

" Hunter, Everest " I nodded.

" What did we miss ?" Lucian asked.

" The fact that the barrier Lovita and Aurora created is about to break because the psycho in the last jail cell has been chanting for hours. " Tala appeared. She was accompanied by Keith and Addison.

" Where is Levy ?"I asked Everest.

" He is at home in the basement looking for evidence that would help us with Maurice Isla" Keith responded.

" Mmmh " I responded and then asked Lovita " Lead the way "

We walked to the KODA council jail and upon entry I noted the first jail Alistar sat at the corner. His eyes widened when he spotted me and I snickered at him. I moved to the second jail cell and there was Judy from the pack enforcers. She was sleeping on the corner and knew that she was only an informant and was harmless. Then the third jail cell was laced with a barrier. There were cracks in it and the hushed chants at the corner of the room were only audible to one with kept hearing. Maurice sat at the corner of the room and his eyes snapped open.

" I don’t like his voice. ’’ Lucian snickered and it made me laugh at how arrogant he sounded.

" So this Maurice Isla " I chuckled and walked to lean on the corner walls.

" Yes Alpha Conri " Lovita responded and Maurice’s eyes snapped open and they bore at me.

He got off the bed and smiled as he walked towards the rails of the jail cell and then his eyes raked me from head to toe. " I expected something more," He laughed.

" Mmm," I nodded at him.

" I was careless and let my nephew’s mate capture me and break my legs. He brought on an Alpha Hunter who sneaked up. My legs have recovered and I will not let him get away with it"

" I am right here " Everest’s voice boomed as he showed himself. Maurice stepped back in surprise and Everest’s eyes blazed at him.

" So you do understand fear, " Conri observed keenly.

" You must be a powerless Alpha for you to send your dogs after me" Maurice laughed

" Why do I need to listen to this piece of dark serpent shifter? " Lucian turned to Conri and asked.

" You are a busy man of course. We are humbled by your presence " Tala spoke up.

" I can make this short for all of you. Lovita removed the barrier " Alpha Conri commanded.

I stepped forward and removed the barrier we had made and Maurice blinked in surprise.

" Lil pup," Conri said. " Allow me " He extended his hand and Lucian nodded as he gave Conri his hand. We watched as Conri’s hand shifted and his nails extended as he pricked Lucian’s wrist and then blood spilled. He automatically raised his hand, picked up some blood, and splattered it inside the jail cell. Maurice did not have time to react and the specs of the blood hit his face and hands. He seemed surprised as he started to burn and he screamed so loud and staggered back in fear.

Conri then rubbed the wound and pushed power into it and it healed. He then raised Lucian’s hand and pressed a kiss on it. "Thank you Lil pup"

Maurice stared at Lucian in shock and said "Impossible. "

" You think that you can escape? You are just a pawn who thinks that they are great. The serpent sea lord is coming for you. He does not like that you caused havoc and gave the dark serpents a bad name. I bet you will beg me to keep you away from me. I have seen him in action when he bit the head of Lorraine and spit it out. " Conri boasted.

" You are bluffing, " Maurice said.

" I was there with him. Those many wolves you raised have a connection to the king of wolves. Do you think that they would be my match? I only had to subdue them and those who did not submit, died" Conri snickered.

" You have no idea what is coming " Maurice’s eyes blazed at me.

" I dont give a fuck " Corni growled so loud. ’ Let it come. "

" Bunch of fools" Lucian snickered at Maurice and he stepped further into the cell.

" Bring up the barrier " Alpha Conri commanded.

I stepped forward and created the barrier. Once it stood solid Conri placed the finger that still had Lucian’s blood and then pushed his power around the barrier. Maurice’s eyes widened in fear and the Conri dropped his hand and said " Let us see how brave you are "

Conri walked away from the jail cell as he grabbed Lucian’s hand and they walked to Alistar’s jail cell. He was still seated in the corner pretending to be scared but his anger and fury were evident in his emotions.

" Old man, you can stop pretending, " Conri growled.

He shrugged his shoulders and looked away.

" Pretending to be chanting while you communicate with each other? What a joke" Lucian stated.

Alistar turned around and snickered " You are just young pups. What do you know?"

" When did Lobo say he is coming back? " Conri asked Lucian.

" Tomorrow. He says he has a bone to pick with you " Lucian pointed at Alistar. " I wonder what you did "

Alistar’s eyes widened for a bit but then he hid his fear and his face remained passive

" Hunter set Judy and sent her over to Tochigi where Lobo is. I am sure he will make use of her " I snickered.

" Noooo" Alistar yelled. " I will tell you what you need to know. Dont harm her "

" You dragged your granddaughter into this mess and looked at the consequences. She is freezing in jail and labeled a traitor " Conri chuckled.

" How did you know it’s his granddaughter ?" Hunter asked.

" Bloodline " Tala answered.

" Release Judy. Let the pack members deal with her " Everest growled.

Hunter was about to walk to the jail cell and unlock it when Alistar whispered " One more person is involved. I have never seen his or her face but he came from the water and is surrounded by black smoke. He has shifter powers and hides in between Sitka and Chugach"

" Shut your mouth you traitor " Maurice yelled from the jail cell.

" Judy needs to be safe. As long as you keep her safe, I will take you to the place we met the last time Alistar started, and then much to our surprise we felt Maurice’s power push through the walls Alistar’s eyes rolled backward and he fell on the ground dead.

I was quick to react as I put a barrier around Judy and Hunter was already opening the cell and we pulled Judy out before Maurice could attack.

Conri walked back to Maurice’s jail cell and found him attempting to break the walls to escape. Conri snickered as he pushed his power to Maurice and he fell on the ground panting in shock.

" It’s best to put a barrier around the jail cell. Lil pup, I shall need more of your blood it seems. My patience had run out ’ In seconds Conri shifted and there stood the largest wolf we had ever seen. He growled so loud, a deafening sound as he pushed his power, the KODA council jail shook while we all went down on our knees in submission while Maurice covered his ears and fell on the ground unconscious. The only person who was left standing was Lucian Freki.

" King of wolves, " Lucian growled. " Bows to no one. "
