Much to my surprise the surprise the ceremony went on without a hitch as we sat to complete the signing of the marriage certificates. Afterwards, we all sat enjoyed a hearty dinner, and received congratulations from the shareholders, members of the KODA council, Anisha and Zeeb, Isa and Amelia.

One of the security guards had rushed over to Zeeb and whispered, " Alpha Lobo and his men had come earlier. "And then Zeeb nodded and the guard left.

"It’s too late for them "Anisha snickered.

"I expected them to come. That is why I placed tight security at the Hotel and only invited the members of the KODA council and shareholders at the last minute " Elder Zaya laughed.

"Godmother!!" Conri huffed.

"I would have allowed no one to ruin this day. "She raised her glass "Cheers "

The entire room raised their glasses at her and yelled, " Cheers!

While we had our dinner, I slipped my hand under the table and laced it with Conri. His eyes widened, and then he turned to me. " What is it ?"

"I can’t believe that I am married to you. It feels like a dream. I wanted to have you with me, but having you tied to me is a blessing. "I responded in a hushed tone.

"We can always reverse the whole ceremony, "He stated, but his eyes twinkled in mischief making me burst out laughing.

"In your dreams. You are stuck with me for a long time, "I declared.

It was late at night when we bid everyone goodbye as I drove us to the Freki mansion. My body buzzed with excitement as we entered the mansion and settled in. I removed the coat and watched Conri do the same.

"Would you like a drink? " I asked him.

He nodded, and I beckoned him to follow me into the open bar on the east side of the mansion. The place was open with a clear view of the Alaskan skies as Conri and I sat to enjoy a drink after our wedding ceremony. Two bottles of whiskey were down the line as we drank in silence and felt my lust rise to the surface.

Everything in him wanted to claim him. At every opportunity, I had brushed my hands on his body, and Conri had let me. He seemed relaxed like someone had lifted a weight off his shoulders. I wanted to lose myself in him sink my teeth into him and leave my mark on his.

"You know I can see through you," Conri drawled. " Your thoughts are too shameless, Lucian

"I have no regrets, " I laughed as I felt the alcohol kicking and added, "I think I’m a little intoxicated."

"I’m afraid you are correct," Conri chuckled as his eyes bore into mine.

I leaned over to him pulled the band that held his ponytail and pushed a strand of hair behind his ear. I ran a hand down his neck and the length of his arm.

"Conri, what do you know about me? How come you never asked? " I leaned and placed my head on his shoulder.

"Because I wanted you to tell me when the time was right. And now that we are here, I am ready to listen. "He whispered.

"My Ma died when I was nine. I never thought Pa would even last long. He was grieving and sent me to Aunty Sasha Gonzalo, my mum’s sister in Texas. I was raised in the hottest part of the desert. "I stood up and walked to the edge of the bar and sipped my drink.

Conri stood up and came to stand behind me. I leaned my body on his and continued, "Losing Ma made me live in anger and pain until after high school, I joined the military. I spent five years in the desert, five years in Scotland, and then I was deployed with the Marines. I studied business and management at night and got both my degrees and MBA. "

"You had a hard life but managed to turn out well, "Conri praised me.

I had to deal with Lobo and the lazy managers who wanted to drag it down. I worked my ass off to make sure that I kicked them out. I pushed the company into the franchise and cleaned all the mess slowly but surely. And I had Anisha who helped me a lot during the first years."

"You are incredible. The more I discover things about you, the more I see why Godmother values you a lot." He whispered in my ear.

"Am I? I have been throwing myself at you, but you don’t make any moves. You are not made of stone Conri, I know that I affect you," I complained.

"You are drunk. Let me take you to bed, Lucian." He stated.

"Is that your answer, husband of mine?" I put my hand around his neck and he grabbed the glass before it fell.

"Yes" But his eyes glowed with need and lust.

"I can see through you too, Conri. I feel your desire from the moment we entered the mansion. It makes me angry why you keep holding back, while I want to pin me down and make me yours. ’’ I slurred and raised myself to lick his neck. That was the last thing I remembered before I felt myself sleep in darkness.
