Chapter 305: ARIA FAMILY DINNER

LOVITA’S POV

I was glad to have Zineb and Sayuri comfort Ma after the death of Grandmother Mercline. For the first time I was at a loss on what to do but Toten and Tharn advised that I should let them hang out with me.

They all agreed to have dinner at the hotel the next day and I picked Ma and Old Man Cyrus up from the house while Toten and Tharn promised to meet me at the hotel. Ma was quiet throughout the journey. Old man Cyrus whom I now call Grandpa made small conversations and Ma only nodded.

When we got to the hotel, we found Sayuri at the entrance waiting for us and she rushed to embrace Ma and pulled her into the hotel. Toten and Tharn were seated at the visitor’s lounge and stood up when I walked in.

" Grandpa " Tharn rushed over to Grandpa and Sayuri’s eyes widened as she turned to him.

Ma smiled at Sayuri and said " This is old man Cyrus. He had been the guardian of the pearl farm for years. But now Toten, Tharn, and Lovita are building their home on the Island and will be in charge of the pearl farm. Cyrus is Sayuri, Lobo’s mate. "

" It’s a pleasure to meet you " Grandpa smiled politely.

" The pleasure is all mine" Sayuri nodded politely but her eyes spoke volumes as resentment rose.

" What is it ?" Aurora stepped away from Sayuri.

She rubbed her hands in anxiety and said " Please let us go to the reserved dinner room and I will explain "

Ma nodded and we all walked to the room while Tharn muttered under his breath" I will leave if anyone annoys Grandpa."

" Calm down" Toten scolded him as he laced his hand with mine and we followed them to the dinner room that they had reserved. On arrival, we found Lobo, Zineb, Isamu, Steve and Seth already seated and they stood up as we walked in. We exchanged pleasantries and settled down for dinner.

Tharn was already agitated and he spoke out to Sayuri " Explain yourself. "

" The scent of my uncle Kaka is strong on your grandfather," Sayuri whispered.

" You mean Kaka the seer who attacked the pearl farm with the Tabular crystal and killed my grandpa?" Tharn banged the table.

" Killed him? Isn’t my uncle Kaka the one who is dead? " Sayuri snicked.

" I am only alive because Tizheruk revived me " Grandpa explained and there was pin-drop silence in the room.

" I did not hear you correctly but did you just say that Tizheruk revived you? " Zineb demanded and her eyes shone with admiration.

" Yes. I died. But Tizheruk got there and revived me, " Grandpa explained.

" We all witnessed it, " I said. " Your uncle walked into the pearl farm and attacked us. Grandpa is old, why could he have just negotiated? We almost lost him and It was Tizheruk that killed your uncle and threw his body to the sea. He took the Tabular with him and we hope to never see it again"

"Lass, do you know that I could have lost my son and his mates that day ?" My eyes teared up. And I know the feeling of loss too well. It makes you do things that are worth it" Ma stated.

"I am sorry Aurora. Please forgive me. " Sayuri spoke to Ma and then turned to Grandpa and said " Forgive me. I am a foolish niece who loved her uncle so much"

" I understand," Grandpa nodded at Sayuri. " You have a right to hurt where love is concerned. I am glad he had you since I can feel the love you had for him.

Sayuri smiled through her teary eyes and then said " I am being emotional. The pregnancy is not helping either"

All this time Lobo was silently watching and I turned to him and said " Speak up brother, it seems you have something to say"

Everyone turned to him, as he leaned back and pulled Sayuri in his arms and rubbed her back. " Let it go. " Sayuri nodded and hid her face in the crook of his neck.

" I have nothing to say," Lobo said.

" I have something to say, " Isamu interjected. " Can we just have a nice dinner and forget everything? I want Zineb to be happy and if she cried like the way Sayuri did, I will not be able to hold it in like my brother Lobo"

" You are Isamu?" Grandpa asked" The Yakuza leader?"

" Yes, I am " Isamu stated

" I heard so many tales about you. They said you are a cold brutal man but all I see is a loving mate and a man who values his brother and mate" Grandpa teased.

Isamy smiled and said " Your eyes are failing you old man.

Grandpa laughed and asked " Have you thought about pearl trade? We can export to Japan and use the channels that you have. It would open up the market and we can give the Yakuza the priority."

" That is an excellent idea " Isamu nodded and Zineb beamed.

" I will draft the documentation and share it with you. ’’ Toten dove right in.

" Thank you" Isamu nodded at him and the tension in the room was broken.

Grandpa turned to Seth and Steve " Are these two young men Seth and Steve?"

" Yes, Grandpa " They piped and it made us all burst out laughing. Even Ma, who had been looking under the weather, joined in.

"I would say you are the spitting images of your brothers, " Grandpa pointed out.

" So we have been told " They responded in unison.

" Do you want to work in the pearl farm? " Grandpa offered just as the waiters walked in to serve the drinks.

"No," Seth responded.

" Why?" Steve asked him in shock.

" I want to go to Japan. " Seth answered.

" You are both coming to Japan with me, " Zineb instructed.

Seth nodded and Steve chuckled in response " Do I have a choice?"

"No" Both Zineb and Seth responded.

" Then it settled then. I need strong wolves to guard Zineb and protect her always. You fit the criteria and since we plan on doing the pearl business, what better way to run it if not by the two of you " Isamu stated.

" Thank you, " Seth nodded with a smile.

" You don’t seem happy to come to Japan with us, ’’ Isamu pointed out as he addressed Steve.

" I go where Seth goes. " He responded. " We can’t be separated"

Zineb clapped and smiled happily. " I am so lucky "

" Yes you are, " Isamu nodded.

" I am starving, less talking and more eating " Tharn pouted he glared at the waiters and they rushed out and came back with the dishes of food, started serving everyone making Toten scold him and whisper " Let him be"

" You spoil him too much. ’’ Toten grunted as the waiters finished the service and announced that we should enjoy our meals.

" So do you " I winked at Toten and he laughed in response as he dug into the food.

" I heard Lucian identified you as an Omega " Lobo spoke to Tharn making conversation as we ate.

" Yes," Tharn groaned and blushed.

" You are lucky" He turned to Ma and smiled at her.

" I am " Ma smiled back and then added " I love your mate. She gives me so much comfort and always a sense of security. I am surprised since she is a vampire but her healing powers are magical. She is a rare breed and you should treasure her always. You are the one who is lucky Lobo Aria"

" I would not have been able to say this years back but now I look around and see family" Lobo responded to Ma.

"You are the first born hence the head of this family. You will lead by example and make this family remain together. This is my request to you. Your father had his good and bad traits but all in all, you, Zineb, Lovita, Seth, and Steve are blood brothers. Hold on to that if not love itself. You all brought Isamu, Sayuri, Tharn, and Toten together. Plus me and Cyrus. What more can we ask for as a family ?" My sad voice rose. " I don’t want to look back with regret but forward as your pups are born. I will have great grandchildren and you can all rely on me as your mother. It’s good to have so many kids"

Sayuri burst out laughing in tears as she stood up and rushed over to Ma and embraced her. " I love you so much "

" Me too lazy. I can’t explain the connection I feel towards you. " Ma embraced her back.

"It’s the hormones " Isamu whispered to a shocked Lobo.

" Eight more months right ?" Lobo huffed and the room was filled with laughter as Ismamu patted Lobo’s back.

" Don’t worry it will ease as the babies grow" Ma pulled Sayuri up and walked her back to her chair.

" How about you Zineb, how are you fairing ?" Ma asked Zineb as she walked back to her seat.

"Good. I plan to have seven kids. Being pregnant is exciting, " Zineb smiled.

" Seven " Isamu choked and his face was laced with shock.

" Oh Brother," Lobo patted Isamu’s back as we all muffled our laughter and tried to comfort him.

"I love this family, " Seth stated.

" Me too," Steve added.

I took my glass, raised it, and stated " To family"

Everyone followed suit as the loud, cheers and clinking of glasses followed suit after we all celebrated and yelled the words " To family"
