LUCIAN’S POV

The chirping of the birds and the sound of forest animals reached my eyes and I knew it was early morning just before the sunrise. I opened my eyes and Conri held me in his arms. We had made love over and over through the night.

I smiled as I slowly tried to get out of bed, removing his arms around me, and went to stand by the large windows. I could feel the changes in my body as I stared at the view of the sea. My senses were heightened and my sense of sight had increased as the Omega genes rose. Last night our powers merged and I felt the way Dolf’s powers sealed my mind and merged with Freki.

" It’s more than that " I heard my Freki push the words through " Our minds are merged as one. He feels what you feel and you feel what he feels. Emotionally and physically. It’s more heightened because of the killing of wolves’ powers.

I turned to stare at Conri who slept peacefully on the bed. My mind flashed at the sight of him carrying me when we got home and stripping me naked after I had seduced him. The way his eyes raked through my body, and he licked me from head to toe.

I loved how Conri was protective and how he was proud of me. I admired his sleeping form and felt sated. Happy and proud to mate.

" Mate" I listened as Dolf pushed the words through our mind link.

I felt elated as I listened to the two converse and walked back to the bed, feeling happiness wash over me. As I sat down the bed dipped and Conri’s eyes snapped open.

I nodded as we got out of bed, walked down to the patient and the first rays of the sun hit the room as we opened the doors. We both shifted and ran into the Freki forest, playing with each other, landing unceremoniously on the grounds and getting up again, moving through the forest.

" I can feel my powers have heightened, " I confessed to him.

We raced through the meadow and ended up by the river, and by the time we got back to the Freki mansion, it was close to midday. The minute Conri closed the door, the air sizzled and I felt so hot. I knew this was coming from him as I walked to the bathroom. Standing naked in the middle of the shower, I felt loved and owned.

Conri and I looked at each other and laughed. " Yes we can’’ Conri leaned over and pressed a kiss on my ear lovingly.

Conri smiled and said " We shall leave you to it. "

We walked out of the construction site and drove the Due Corporation. Zeeb was the first to spot us and walked over to greet us. His step faltered as he neared us and stopped short.

" What the hell is that ?" He asked as he stared at us.

Conri chuckled and muttered " Will everyone behave like this?’

" It seems so," I responded.

" The power that is buzzing between the two of you is ridiculous" Zeeb took a step back.

" How is everything ?" I deflected.

" Good. Benjamin and Aurora are back. They called in advance and headed to the office. Elder Zaya is also on her way"

" It seems they found the mangy wolves army" I cursed.

" I have prepared the boardroom for the meeting, " Zeeb stated.

Tharn appeared from behind Zeeb, his eyes widened and he staggered back. " SO much power" Tharn whispered as he stared at Conri

Tharn turned to Lucian and then stammered " What is going on?

"Nothing" Conri snapped and his voice came out so loud it vibrated across the corridor.

" Calm down" I laced my hands with his and then pulled him towards the boardroom as Zeeb and Tharn rushed to give us away.

Upon entry, we found that the place had already been arranged and coffee and tea urns placed at the center of the board room table.

" What is the plan?" Lucian asked me.

" We first gather all the intel and then make a plan" I whispered.

" Are we late?" We heard Godmother’s voice from the door. We both stood up in greeting and rushed over to welcome her. Everest and Aurora also appeared in five minutes, and Toten, Tharn, and Zeeb joined in.

" Do we have any word from the team in Texas? " I asked.

" Not as yet " Zeeb stated.

" What did you find " I spoke up and we all turned to Aurora and Everest"

" Shit" Zeeb cursed while Elder Zaya banged the table.

" We need to get to the Northern Border and flash them out, " Everest advised.

" There was no way he could have sensed it. He does not have that kind of power. " Aurora spoke up.

" How did they get the pearls to the Northern border?" Elder Zaya demanded.

" Aria is the one who set this up. I deduce this as a backup plan that he set up. So sending Simon Mark away was to prepare for the war. "

" Has the General spotted the many wolves before ?" Toten demanded.

" He says that they spotted one or two wolves and that was it" Aurora growled.

" If they attack from the North, they would arrive in Chugach in twenty-four hours or less. They will be killing along the way and crushing anyone who stops them. The best way is to get to the Northern Border, " Conri said.

" I agree. " Everest stated.

" How many enforcers do we have ?" Elder Zaya asked.

" Too little, " Conri responded. " This fight is not for the pack Godmother"

There was a knock at the ballroom door and an enforcer appeared.

" I am sorry to interrupt Alpha Conri but we are under attack. Thousands of mangy wolves have appeared near the east border. They have already reached the east of the river that flows from Mount Chugach and what is surprising is that some of them are coming out of the water" He reported in a panic.

" What ?" Everyone in the room yelled but Lucian and Aurora remained composed.
