" Congratulations" Lucian rushed over, pulled Tizheruk to his feet, and hugged him.

" Congratulations my Lord, " Alexander piped.

" How many eggs ?" I asked.

" Two" Tizheruk announced proudly.

" What a surprise " I proudly walked over and patted his back. " Why do you need us to deal with your wife and mate? She is the queen of the serpent shifters."

"Lucian, only you can reason with her," Tizheruk insisted.

" What do you mean only I" Lucian eyes bore at Tizheruk.

" You do know I can see the future. In bits of flashes and hence I am certain only you can deal with her. " Tizheruk insisted.

" Buzz off " Conri snickered.

" Conri, I am asking your mate for a favor. Why must you be so negative" Tizheruk retorted but there was no malice in his voice.

" It’s fine. I will speak to Haida " Lucian nodded and Alexander’s shoulders sagged in relief.

" What is it ?" I asked him.

" Charry tried and failed. And when she came back, she gave me an earful" Alexander complained.

" Go back and soothe her " Lucian advised and Alexander nodded as he bowed to Tizheruk and rushed out.

" How do we access the pearl nest ?" Lucian’s eyes twinkled with excitement.

" Tsk " Tizheruk laughed and said " Follow me"

We left Tizheruk’s mansion through the backdoor and then he transformed into a large serpent

" Hope on "He pushed the words into our mind.

Lucian and I hopped onto his back as a large bubble surrounded us as we left Tizheruk’s powers around it. " It will help you breathe. ’’ He stated and then dove under the water and off we moved into the deep sea.

The view of the underwater was so euphoric as Lucian held on to me by back and I could tell he was grinning from ear to ear.

" Conri, why haven’t we ever done this before? I am so glad I came to Sitka" Lucian pushed the words through the mind link and laughed.

" You do know that you can talk? The bubble allows us to speak " I responded, speaking out loud.

" I am happy" His voice was filled with admiration of the sea bed and creatures.

" Tizheruk, this place is beautiful. No wonder the serpent shifters are so blessed. Mother Sea has created such beautiful scenery that needs to be appreciated. " I stated.

" The sea has always been a beautiful place. But the humans and other shifters always take advantage of everything. Hence, you will find some areas are hidden and not shareable. " Tizheruk pushed the words through the mind link.

" Understandable. Just like Adora and Tabular. They should have been left to rest but the shifters were greedy " I responded out loud.

We arrived at the barrier of the sea next and were wowed by the view. Tizheruk pushed through and we felt its power as we entered the pearl next. Once inside, we realized we were headed to the golden door and it opened, making me guess that Tizheruk had used magic to push the doors open. Once the door closed he shifted and we all landed on our feet. Lucian staggered a little but I held him close as we stared at the largest oyster, bigger than the Freki mansion that came into view.

" What the fuck ?" Lucian uttered in shock.

The oyster was flagged by two large pearls on each side, and the only thing that could explain the view before us was " magic".

" Come on. " Tizheruk stated and beckoned us to follow him.

We entered the oyster and the lavish decoration shocked me. I loved how everything was set and when I turned to Tizheruk he had a grin on his face and said " This is your area of expertise, what do you think?"

" It is so well done" I nodded " Its befitting the home of the sea serpent god"

" Thank you Conri," Tizheruk teased as we chuckled and walked along.

" I am amazed blown away" Lucian whispered in awe.

" Your face tells it all, " Tizheruk laughed as we came to the main room that was set as the living room.

Haida was standing by an oyster that had two large eggs the size of a wolf, placed around pearls.

" Bering, if you have come to annoy me, just go back to the mainland and leave me in peace" Haida growled.

" I missed you Haida " Lucian spoke up and Haida turned around in surprise. She squealed when she spotted us and rushed to embrace us one by one.

’" I am so happy you came," She beamed. " Bering is driving me crazy"

" Come on Conri, let me show you the rest of my home " Tizheruk deflected as he dragged me along with him. He took me through his home and I was so impressed at every corner of the nest and when we came back to his office, I realized he was stalling.

" You can’t hide from her forever. ’’ I teased him.

" Thank you for coming. " Tizheruk whispered.

" She feels cooped up and so do you. You need to take her out more often. No one can access the pearl nest as you are the powerful sea god. " I advised.

" I am afraid that if we leave the next one might attack," Tizheruk confessed.

" That is why you have placed wards around the entrance of the nest. You have been careful all these years because you are alone but now that you have family, you are worried that you can’t protect them. " I assessed.

" Mmh" Tizheruk nodded.

" But that does not mean you need to lock them up," I responded.

" I went a bit crazy, " He confessed.

" Apologies to her and let her be. Haida is not weak and as your mate, she is protective and would keep your offspring safe" I pointed out.

" I just needed a voice, a reason that would make me remain sane. That is why Dolf has been worried. I was careless when I met Kaka at the pearl farm and that is how poison ended up in my body. I rushed to Chugach and I was paranoid when I rushed back to the nest. I realized I was poisoned as my body weakened and I almost blacked out. Alexander must have felt it and found me in the sea as I was healing myself before getting back to Haida." Tizheruk narrated.

" You put yourself in danger. I understand Tizheruk " I placed an arm around his shoulders.

" There are so many changes in our lives. We need to adjust and adapt to our new families." Tizheruk nodded.

" You need to accept and adapt," I corrected him.

" Fine, " He nodded.

" I informed Godmother that I was coming to see you. I never delved into the reason why but she is a smart woman and demanded that I report back to her." I explained.

" She will be too worried, " I whispered.

" I will explain to her. Don’t worry, "I assured him. ’’ Now let us go back before our mates start worrying "

We stood up and walked back to the living room only to find a sniffing Haida and a worried Lucian. When he spotted us his accusing eyes landed on Tizheruk and I waved my hand to stop whatever he wanted to say.

" What did we miss?" I asked and there was a warning in my voice as I spoke to Lucian.

" Nothing much. We were just catching up with each other, " Lucian muttered.

" Haida" I spoke up and she turned around, her eyes filled with tears as she sniffed.

" Why are you crying ?" Tizheruk asked.

" Nothing "She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and looked away.

" Haida, I must speak my mind on this matter. Tizheruk has lived his life in loneliness for so many years. It will take time to adjust to a mate. He will be protective and unreasonable but that does not mean he loves you less. You need to be understanding. But I have given him advice and there is no reason for you to remain locked up in the pearl nest." I stated.

Haida’s eyes widened for a second and then the sad look disappeared instantly.

" I have a request" Haida stepped forward and her eyes avoided looking at Tizheruk at all costs.

" What is it ?" I spoke up.

" I would like to live in the mansion for a while. Haida stated and raised her chin defiantly.

" Fine," Tizheruk responded.

Haida’s eyes widened and she seemed shocked that he agreed.

" Really?" Her eyes blazed at him and he nodded in acceptance.

" Yes," He responded.

" Great. I am glad that it is now settled, " Lucian stated.

" But I would like to emphasize that your safety comes first. You must not be careless or cause Tizheruk to worry. You are his uttermost priority plus he also has the serpent shifter clan to protect. Until the eggs hatch, it’s important to cooperate" I emphasized.

Haida nodded and looked embarrassed for the first time since we entered the pearl nest.

" I am hungry, is there anything to eat?" Lucian’s words made us all burst into laughter and the tension in the room eased.

"Of course!! " Haida beamed.

I patted Tizheruk’s back knowing well that the problem had been sorted and prayed to the moon gods that the eggs would hatch without a hitch and we would avert any trouble coming our way.
