" It seems that we have only two candidates," Benjamin said.

" That is true. Let Lovita and Conri step forward. "Alpha Luna beckoned.

" Tsk" Aurora Storm smirked.

" Do you have a problem Aurora?’ Elder Zaya demanded.

" I don’t see how he could be Alpha of the pack" She pointed at me.

" Really?" I stepped forward menacingly.

" How about this? Let us the two of you measure each other’s power and see who is more powerful and rightful to lead the pack. "Aurora’s authoritative voice rose.

" Your son?" I pointed at Lovita and chuckled.

" I am ready" Lovita stepped forward and declared.

" I doubt that the hall can take the power exchange. Why don’t we step outside to the pack’s lands and have this done" Benjamin commanded.

" I would like for the hall to remain standing, " Aurora boasted.

" I want to shut her up" Lucian pushed the words through our mind link.

" I can sense her witch powers. They should not be underestimated " I responded through the mind link.

" She is not a match for us " Freki snickered, forcing a smile between me and Lucian. I watched the way Aurora’s eyes widened with the realization that we could communicate through our mind link.

" Come on" Everest instructed everyone in the room " We are all headed to the pack lands "

Twenty minutes later we stood at the pack land and the pack members surrounded us as Lovito and I stood at the center.

" I hope you will show them who you are " Lucian pressed a kiss on my cheek and stepped back.

" Let us get this over with, " Aurora Storm snapped.

" After you" I raised my hand at Lovita and stood in waiting.

I felt the push of Lovita’s wolf in my mind and then it was backed with the magic power of a witch.

" Are you feeling this ?" I pushed the words to Lucian

"Yes. It seems that his mother pushed the power of his wolf into him recently. He hasn’t mastered it well and I can see how he is fumbling" Lucian responded through our mind link.

" Should I let him continue to show that he is winning ?" I pushed the words through and Dolf huffed in annoyance.

" Show them how much power you have " Aurora Storm growled.

Lovita then growled, stepped forward, and then pushed his Alpha powers at me and I felt his power magnify. Dolf roared and I could feel his impatience.

I stood stoic as I let his wolf in and then in instance I pushed Dolf out and Lovita fell to his knees in an instance.

" Impossible " Aurora Storm growled.

" Really ?" Godmother smirked.

I walked over to where he was kneeling and stared down at him. Pushing the power of the king of wolves, Lovita bowed down and the words that came out of his mouth were " Alpha"

" I thought so " I smirked at him.

" What did you do?" The Aurora storm released her power and attacked me.

Lucian moved with speed, raised his hands, and waded off all the power that Aurora threw at me.

" What?" She muttered in shock.

" Why would you interfere with a battle of Alphas?" Lucian demanded.

" Witch powers? " She muttered in shock

" Yes. Do you think you are the only one? My mother was Willow Gonzalo Freki" Lucian growled.

" No. It’s impossible" She stepped back. " No one in the Golden shifter pack had powers of the shifter wolf witch. "

" You have been away for so long that your head is muddled up and you have been misinformed. " Godmother snickered " You did not get your facts in check before you came bursting into the pack and making declarations."

" Rise " I commande Lovita and receded my powers of submission from his wolf.

He stood up bared his neck and said " I acknowledge you as my Alpha"

" Shut your mouth " Aurora growled.

" Stand down " Godmother stepped forward.

" Mother please " Lovita walked over to her " Conri’s wolf is no one’s match"

" What do you mean? " She yelled at him.

" I would rather demonstrate to your mother so that she can understand " I spoke up and walked over to stand before them.

" Please, Mother is bitter and has been hurt. Let her be " Lovita pleaded

" In the past, I was lenient and let people like your mother continue to be delusional about me. But those days are gone and now with the threat that Lobo Aria left behind, I would rather tackle everything head-on."

" I agree, " Lucian said.

I pushed the power of Dolf into the Aurora storm and she staggered back as Lovita held her. Dolf rose and commanded submission and Aurora fell on her knees while she screamed in shock.

" King of wolves " She whispered and then in seconds bowed her head and said " Alpha, please forgive this old woman"

" Now we are talking " Godmother clapped and she was joined by the rest of the pack members. From the corner of my eyes, I watched Amon and his goons try to sneak out of the pack grounds.

" Where do you think you are going, Amon? " I growled so loud that the ground shook and Lucian walked over to stand next to me.

" I- " Amon stuttered

I raised my hand to beckon him to come forward as Lovita helped his mother rise from the ground. They stepped back as Amon stood a few steps away from where we stood.

" Will you kneel or should I make you ?" I growled at him.

Amon’s eyes blazed and in seconds Dolf was already irritated and pushed through, his power vibrating as he commanded Amon and his men. They all fell on their knees and howled in shock.

" Loyalty and obedience are paramount to an Alpha of a pack. I don’t plan to rule with an iron fist but I will not tolerate anyone who dares harm the pack. Hence I would suggest you leave the golden shifter pack and join Lobo Aria. " I spoke up as Dolf receded, snickered, and went back to sleep.

" Scatter " Lucian growled and they stood up and rushed off the pack lands.

" Members of the Golden shifter pack, does anyone object to Conri Dolf becoming pack Alpha?" Alpha Luna demanded.

" We agree" The members of the pack cheered and rose thunderously.

" Good good" Alpha Luna agreed with a wide smile. " What about the members of the KODA council?

" I vote for Conri Dolf as the pack Alpha of the Golden shifter pack " Godmother was the first one to speak.

" I vote for Conri Dolf as the pack Alpha of the Golden shifter pack" Everest repeated her words.

" I vote for Conri Dolf as the pack Alpha of the Golden shifter pack"Benjamin’s voice boomed.

" And I vote for Conri Dolf as the pack Alpha of the Golden shifter pack" Levy yelled.

" And I Luna Elijah, acting She Pack Alpha, voted for Conri Dolf as the new Alpha of the Golden shifter pack.

The cheers that broke out in the pack were so loud and Lucian embraced me happily. I watched as Mrs. Hemming and Godmother hugged each other and cried. Anisha was sobbing as Zeeb rubbed her back. Addison, Keith, and Aspen yelled loudly while Everest clapped and Levy hugged him. Hunter and Tala stood grinning happily and Benjamin walked over to hold Luna in his arms. The support that my family offered was the greatest and becoming the pack alpha meant that I would protect them.

I stepped forward and bowed to the whole pack. When I raised my head they all beamed at me. " I promise to protect you all and keep you safe. Anyone who will threaten the peace of the pack will be dealt with severely. "

" Yes," Everest thumped his chest.

" Alpha Luna, thank you for stepping in when we needed you. Your kindness restored stability within the pack members for the time you held office. I thank you for your hard work and ask for your guidance as I take over the pack office" I bowed to Luna.

" Rise Conri Dolf. The Golden shifter pack is proud to have you as the Alpha" Alpha Luna spoke up.

" Congratulations my dear godson. I have waited for this day for fifteen years. I am proud of the journey that you have been through and all the tribulations that you bore, with honor. We are proud of you" Godmother raised her chin as she spoke up with pride.

Dolf stirred and announced " Tizheruk is here "

I turned around as he spoke out loudly " Am I too late for the ceremony?"

Tizheruk walked over towards us accompanied by Haida and Uncle Cadman. He embraced me and whispered " It’s about time you took over"

" Thank you Tizheruk." I patted his back.

" Am I seeing my things? Cadman is that you? " Aurora whispered.

" Aurora Storm, the years have been kind to you I see" Uncle Cadman nodded.

Her eyes then darted to Tizheruk and she staggered back in shock. " What the hell?" she raised her hand at him.

" I suggest you lower your hand before I get angry " Haida growled

" I must be going crazy" She shook her head in shock.

" What is it, mother?" Lovita asked.

" I now understand what Lobo was after and failed. It seems that the Golden Shifter pack changed when I was away. You are all powerful beings and yet humble about it. There was no place for Lobo Aria in this pack. " she nodded.

" That is not an Aurora Storm. There is no place for greed and evilness in the Golden shifter pack" I spoke with so much assertion that she stepped back.

" Congratulations Conri Dolf," Uncle Cadman’s voice interjected.

" Cheers to a new beginning " Lucian howled and the pack members followed suit.
