" Wake up. Something is wrong ’’ Dolf jolted me from my sleep and I sat down on the bed as Lucian remained under the covers. It was close to dawn and the sun was about to rise as the chirping of the birds was so loud. I stepped out of bed and then walked to the windows that overlooked the backyard. I could sense a heartbeat and someone was rushing towards the Freki mansion.

" Husband ?" I heard Lucian murmur groggily.

" We have company," I stated as I threw him the pajama bottoms that I had pulled out of him the previous night. After getting dressed we rushed downstairs and met Tizheruk coming from the bunker.

" I can smell blood, " Tizheruk stated as he pushed the back door open and we all stood on the patio waiting.

" Uncle Cadman" Lucian shot from the patio and rushed towards the woods as Uncle Cadman appeared with blood laced on his shirt. He staggered and Lucian caught him before he hit the ground. Haida and Chary came running followed by Alexander.

Lucian’s eyes blazed as he listened to the breathing of Uncle Cadman.

" Come on, " Haida said. " Let us get him in the house.

" Tizheruk and I will scout the area around the Freki forest to see if he was followed" I informed Lucian.

We took off and followed the path that had the scent of Uncle Cadman’s blood and ended up by the edge of the path that led into the Chugach prison. The scent of Hybrid vampires hit our nostrils and Dolf rose. " The same scent of the two elders at the Yakuza ballroom. "

" I smell it too. It’s their children. Isamu that beast has a plan. He sent them to rescue Zineb and Uncle Cadman thought that they were not a threat. "

" I remember him saying that it was one woman. But she must have brought reinforcement and caught him off guard. "

" It would be faster if you shifted and I rode on your back to the prison. We can’t waste time and we need to find out what happened. "

I nodded and shifted into my wolf form. Tizheruk got on my back and I raced up the mountain until I reached the Chugach prison. The sight that greeted us shocked us as there were dead bodies by the entrance. All of them were the guards that guarded the prison. I could tell that they had been poisoned to death and then when we walked in the prisoners inside were all safe in their cells.

" They came for Zineb and Lyal " I spoke up as we walked deeper into the prison until we came to an empty cell that was at the corner.

" It seems my sister must have paid someone such a high amount for them to find a shifter who can teleport in and out of the prison" Lyal’s voice rose from the opposite side of the cell.

We turned around in shock and there he was leaning by the corner looking pissed off.

" They forgot about you?’" Tizheruk chuckled.

" No. They came for Zineb. That is because they never could have guessed that Lyal was in Chugach prison.

" Isamu just wanted his mate, " Tizheruk nodded.

" My sister has a mate?" Lyal stepped forward in surprise and put his head through the cell bars.

" Yes. The Hybrid Isamu" I announced and Lyal staggered back in shock.

" No wonder she smells different. When I asked she brushed it off" Lyal responded in wonder.

" She is mated to him and is a full Hybrid wolf" Tizheruk smirked.

" We are truly fucked up" Lyal walked to the bed and lay on it looking up at the ceiling.

When we walked out of the jail, we found Hunter and Benjamin pacing up and down the prison exit.

" What did you find? " Hunter inquired.

" Lyal is still inside. The children of the Yakuza came to get Zineb. Isamu organized the rescue" I cursed.

" How is Uncle Cadman?" Benjamin asked.

" Not good. We need to go back to the mansion, " Tizheruk stated.

" Who called you?" I raised my eyebrow with a question.

" Haida called Tala," Hunter responded.

" We need the bodies of the guards taken down the mountain and a new set of guards, preferably enforcers to take over. Lyal is still there and you need to be careful in case they come back for him. It seems that one of them is a shifter wolf teleporter. " I informed Hunter and Benjamin.

" Okay. This is noted. I will come to the mansion later on, " Benjamin stated.

Shifting into my wolf form, Tizheruk got on top of my back and I raced down the mountain and stopped when we reached the Freki woods. Tizheruk got down and I shifted back into my human and we ran to the Freki mansion.

Chary spotted us as she stood guard on the back door and slid the door open for us to get into the mansion. We found Alexander by the corridor and he tilted his head to indicate that Lucian and Uncle Cadman were in the guest room.

When we approached the guest room the scent of Lucian’s blood hit my nostril and my steps faltered with the knowledge that Lucian had given Uncle Cadman his blood.

" Step aside." Tizheruk spoke behind me " Lucian’s blood will not be enough to save him. I need to breathe some of my powers to him"

"Okay " I nodded and leaned on the corridor as Tizheruk walked into the guest room. I closed my eyes and breathed in, willing my body to calm down from the anger of Lucian giving you his blood.

" How can you expect me to just sit by when Uncle Cadman is dying? " Lucian spoke from the door. My eyes snapped open and there was Lucian covered in blood on his hands, legs, and neck. His eyes looked sad and wild.

" I have no excuse but that is how I feel " I raised my hands in defeat.

He nodded and said "I am going to take a shower " He whizzed past me and I could feel his anger radiating. I knew I was acting possessive and stupid but Lucian was my life. I walked into the room and found Tizheruk pushing his power into Uncle Cadman. I listened to his heartbeat become regular and then he fell into a deep sleep.

" It’s done" Tizheruk murmured and turned around.

" Great. " I nodded and Chary appeared in the doorway.

" Clean him up " Tizheruk commanded and Chary nodded as Haida walked in carrying a basin of water and clothes.

" I will help" Haida stated firmly and Tizheruk’s eyes widened but after a minute he nodded and pulled me out of the room, straight into the bunker and he closed the door shut.

" Are you crazy ?" He demanded. " Did you not feel the fear that was radiating from your mate? Uncle Cadman is important to him and yet you were throwing a possessive fit"

" You are not different from me " I snapped at Tizheruk and blew air from my mouth.

" But I kept it in and I did not show it " He retorted.

" I dont have the patience for that " I snickered at him.

" But now that you are mated, you need to be patient with your mate," Tizheruk urged.

" I know I know" I huffed and sat down in annoyance.

" You lost your cool King of Wolves" Tizheruk patted my shoulder and then walked to the fridge that was at the corner and took out two cold beers. He walked back and handed one to me as I uncapped it and chunked it down until the bottle was empty. I grabbed the one in his hand and did the same. Tizheruk shook his head walked back to the fridge picked up six bottles and placed them on the table before me.

" I am not planning on getting drunk " I stated "I just need a drink to calm me down.

" Let us drink. It’s been a hard few months" Tizheruk uncapped the bottle and clicked it with mine.

It was an hour later, and we sat on the bunker floor with the bottle surrounding us. We had drunk to forget all the danger and sorrows that surrounded us. It was Haida who walked into the bunker and found us.

She took one look at us and asked " Are you guys okay?"

" Yes, " Tizheruk nodded.

I stood up from the floor and staggered back. I then waved at Tizheruk and left the bunker. I found Alexander in the corridor and his eyes widened when he spotted the state I was in.

" Goodnight " I chuckled as I staggered up the stairs and walked to our bedroom. I entered and closed the door and Lucian was standing by the window, his shoulders stiff. He must have caught the scent of alcohol in my body as he turned around and pointed a finger at me.

" Instead of coming to comfort me, you chose to drink " He snapped.

I leaned back on the door and my eyes blazed at him" I remember telling you that I was a possessive bastard. How dare you act recklessly like that? Why did you not even send a message through our mind link? "

" Go shower and get to bed" Lucian yelled at me and then walked to the bed, got in, and covered himself.

I heaved a sigh of frustration but complied with his words, and in half an hour, I got in bed and pulled him into my arms, rubbing his back, feeling remorseful until we both fell asleep.
