I stood by the window, listening to the Yakuza elders blubber at Isamu as he held back and quelled his anger. The last remarks by Elder Kanji were at my limit where he accused us of failing the mission.

" You mean you would have succeeded? The Tizheruk is more powerful than ever. He is even surrounded by the King of wolves whose power had the Adora Crystal and his Freki mate. The three of them combined can take us all down. " I snapped.

There was pin-drop silence in the room and I went ahead to drop the bombshell "One more thing. Kata and Sayuri, you need to know that Isamu is my sister’s mate. If you try to interfere I will not be so polite " and then I left the resting area.

I walked around the compound of the house and breathed in the mountain air. Tochigi’s mountain air reminded me of Alaska and I stood with the the nostalgia of home.

" For the first time since I met you, I am indeed thankful for you " Isamu’s voice reached my ears. I turned around and he was walking towards me with two cups of something hot, and the scent of coffee hit my nose.

" You need to trust me more " I smirked at him as I accepted the cup of coffee he offered.

"I added whiskey to it." He chuckled as we stood staring at the view sipping coffee silently.

" They came for blood, you know, " I pointed out to Isamu.

" They have always been hungry. I blame myself for this. " He responded and I turned to stare at him and noticed the dark circles under his eyes and how his knitted brows rose.

" Why does it look like you are more worried than me ?" I asked.

" Because even if we find Zineb, they will still fight me tooth and nail. " Isamu heaved a sigh.

" They want you to mate with either Kata or Sayuri," I snickered.

"It’s been over one hundred years. Why the fuck would I ?" Isamu blew into the coffee.

" You should have been straightforward, instead of dancing around them. They are taking advantage of your noncommittal state " I scolded him.

" I know. And that is why I am thankful. " He raised his cup at me.

I clinked my cup with his and said " You are welcome. Just be nice to Zineb for the rest of your life"

" I hate to admit it but since I met her, I have questioned some of my decisions and desires," Isamu whispered.

" Do not be ruled by Lust and your hard cock" I growled.

" That is not Lobo. Zineb is a wonderful person. She is loyal and faithful. Especially to you" Isamu pointed out.

I muttered under my breath and then turned to him and said " I know. But don’t lose sight of your plans"

" Just because I found a mate, it should not be an indication that I am weak. " Isamu chuckled.

" When will the seer come ?" I changed the topic.

"Tomorrow. Come on, let me show you the seclusion area. " Isamu tilted his head, an indication that I should follow him.

We walked to the fast east of his home and entered a black gate that looked so solid even a truck could not penetrate it.

" Geez, did you have to go to these extremities?" I demanded to hold the gate while checking to see how strong it was.

"Yes. The Yakuza are brutal and would kill in an instant. Especially when one is in seclusion and meditating. They usually take advantage and assassinate leaders or elders who are weak or object to their plans. Every year a new powerful Yakuza gang member always rises and tries to oust one of us. To maintain leadership, you need money and loyal dogs who will do anything for you. "

" Is that why I failed at the Golden Shifter pack?" I chuckled.

" The people around you failed you. You need to gain the power of the Tabular and only then will you be able to go back and step on them" Isamu noted and we walked into the gate.

I gasped in shock as I realized the place was built with glass from the roof to the floor. " What the fuck ?"

"I am a little extra," He responded.

" Are these sensors built on the house ?" I pushed Aria out to assess the house.

"Yes" Isamu nodded as he input a fingerprint on the right side of the corner wall and then the glass door slid open.

" Give me the name of your architect. I want to have such a home in Alaska" I stared at the interior design in awe as we walked deeper into the house and came to the center of the room. Isamu pressed buttons on the intercom at the glass door and the lights went on and the fireplace lit up. The cushions had been arranged Japanese style and the place was filled with herbal scents that soothe one’s mind. And the glass door was tinted. No one can see you from outside but you can see anyone who approached you from the outside of the house. "

" The scent is coming from the vents ?" I raised one eyebrow.

"No from the floor. This is a seclusion method of healing one’s body and growing one’s powers. It works two ways. I want you to clear your mind and harness the powers of the Tabular. " Isamu stated.

" I am determined to do so" I nodded at Isamu.

Isamu left me in the seclusion area and I lay down to rest. My body and mind remained calm as Aria rose and said " This is a nice place. I can sense that the herbs are meant to soothe and ease your mind"

"Why is it that I can also sense magic in the room? " I grunted.

" That would be me, " Tabular said. " The serenity of the seclusion hall is so peaceful that I have been pushed out.

" Mhhh" I nodded and closed my eyes to sleep.

Early the next day, the Seer arrived with Isamu at exactly eight am. I had just woken up and was about to make breakfast when the glass doors opened and Isamu walked in.

" Good Morning " I spoke up

" This is Kaka. He is the Yakuza seer" Isamu introduced the old man.

" It’s a pleasure to meet you Lobo Aria " Kaka spoke up.

" Why are you here old man? " Tabular spoke up and his voice was filled with displeasure.

" To help the two of you merge, " Kaka retorted.

" What is going on ?" I spoke up.

" Tabular has not been forthcoming to you. He knows the danger of merging with you if you don’t let go of an obsession. You will die, " Kaka announced.

" Are you underestimating me?" I snickered.

"No. But if it fails, Tabular powers will fade with your death " Kaka raised his chin.

" You just had to open your loud mouth old man, " Tabular snapped.

" Can the two of you get along? I don’t want to lose my brother-in-law " Isamu snapped.

" What? You are mated ?" Kaka’ eyes lit up at Isamu.

" I found my mate. And she loves her brother dearly. So please the two of you need to cooperate ASAP. " Isamu turned back, pressed the door intercom, and left

"Your sister must be an amazing person for Isamu to acknowledge that he has a mate. I have known him for so many years and I am glad that he found someone who can make him happy and deter him from the obsession of more powers and immortality. He almost died the last time he tried to increase his power using the scale from the Tizheruk. " Kaka narrated.

" I never knew that bastard Tizheruk was this powerful. He seems just like a normal man" I snickered.

Kaka rushed over, surprising me at how fast he moved " You met him?" The serpent sea god? "

" Yes," I nodded.

" Wow. I wish I could see him. To have his healing power and shifter powers is exhilarating" Kaka’s eyes looked distant and lost in thought.

" You said that Isamu almost died ?" I raised my voice to snap him back to the present.

Kaka nodded as he sat on the cushions and crossed his legs " Yes. He was unconscious for two weeks. I used my powers to bring him back from death’s door. The power of the Tizheruk scale clashed with his hungry vampire beast. And it rejected it until the power of this wolf was able to harness it. That is why the Tabular crystal could not have been wielded by Isamu. He is not a full shifter but a hybrid."

" Why the fuck is he after the Tizheruk again?"

" The healing power of the Tizheruk is the one that can balance the scales’ power and his beast. That way he will have immortality" Kaka huffed. " I have been telling him that it’s useless but he will never listen to me. I hope your sister can make him understand that being a hybrid on its own is immortality" Kaka explained.

" So who do I harness the power of the Tabular?"

" I thought you would never ask," Kaka rubbed his hands together in excitement.
