HUNTER’S POV

By the time we got to the pack office, Lobo Aria’s fury was evident.

"Care to explain what the hell that bitch Tala is talking about?" He demanded from Boris Carter.

"Your sister arrived two days ago. She is in Alaska " Boris hurriedly tried to explain and Lobo Aria smacked his face and he fell to the ground.

"Did I not tell you to send her back to Japan?" Lobo growled.

"I will not go back "Zineb Aria stood at the door of Lobo Aria’s office and declared.

"What the fuck are you doing here, you brat? " Lobo demanded.

"I am here as you requested me to come. And I am here for my son. "She walked in followed by Sasha Freki.

"Evening Alpha Lobo "Sasha raised her chin.

"What the fuck is going on?" Lobo muttered, as his eyes blazed.

Boris hurriedly stood up and closed the door.

"Ralph Isla had this crazy idea. He wanted us to kidnap Tala Elijah to force Hunter to help us transport the Napella out of Alaska. "Keith Isla spoke up.

My eyes widened, and I asked, " What made you think I would care about Tala Elijah?"

"Isn’t she your mate?" Zineb looked surprised.

"So what?" I snickered and sat down.

I could see the surprised look on Boris, Keith, and Jaxton. But Alpha Lobo’s reaction was the opposite. He burst out laughing and said, "You expected Hunter to have Tala as his weakness?"

"Is he for real? "Jaxton demanded.

"I would never let a woman control me, "I spoke up.

"Boris, are you going to tell me the truth, or should I squeeze it out of you?"

"The Japanese Boryokudan approached me. They want to kick the Yakuza out as the lead mafia group. They wanted Gold to get the Tabular crystal out of Japan. I thought it would be best to trade with Napella and the only way we could ship it out of Alaska was by getting Hunter to assist us. Knowing his temper well, he would never do it. Last time you mentioned that Tala was his mate and hence we thought- "Boris stuttered.

"You fucking thought wrong, you bastard! " Lobo Aria yelled and the tables in the room rattled.

"I am sorry, Alpha. "Boris bowed his head.

"I do agree the Napella needs to leave Alaska, but you could have just asked, "I spoke up.

"Fucking bastards. "Lobo cursed." And who killed Ralph Isla? From the Autopsy, someone snapped his neck. "

"We can’t remember, "Jaxton and Keith spoke at the same time.

"What do you mean? " I stood up and demanded.

"We can’t remember anything from the time we left the boat. Anisha went missing and jumped into the water. After that, we can’t remember anything," Keith whispered.

Zineb walked over to Keith and demanded, "I remember dropping you at the beach while I left with the Japanese and Boris. The three of you went after the person who had taken Anisha. She was not just in the water but was rescued. And the person seemed to be a good swimmer. "

"What the hell is going on?" Lobo growled. "Are we being played?’"

I turned to leave, and Lobo interjected, " Zineb and Hunter remain behind. I would like to have a word with the two of you"

Once everyone had left, Lobo walked over and towered over Zineb. " Where is the Napella ?"

"Gone. The Japanese took it. They will be back in Japan and get up the mountains to get the Tabular crystal, "Zineb informed Lobo.

"You do surprise me, "Lobo smirked at her.

"I am not useless Lobo" She grinned

"Are you ready to tell the truth about Luke?" Lobo demanded, and Zineb’s face changed.

"No" Zineb whispered.

"He had Freki and Aria blood, but he is not Lucian’s son" Lobo laughed. " How did you do it ?"

Zineb’s lower lip trembled, and she looked away in fear. " I would rather not tell you, Lobo. "

"The child is now with Lucian. How are you going to get him back?" Lobo asked.

"Why? He is better off with the Freki’s " Zineb raised her chin.

Lobo Aria grabbed her neck and squeezed it. " Why? Because he was born with Aria blood"

"He would be dead by now if Odwolf Freki had not saved him. " Zineb gritted her teeth.

"Say that again? " Lobo let Zineb go and she staggered back and rubbed her neck while gasping.

"Leave Luke out of your plans. I will never compromise my son" Zineb’s eyes blazed with anger. "I will do anything you ask, but Luke cannot be touched. If you dare me, Lobo, I will raise so much hell, you will wish we were not siblings"

"Are you threatening me?" Lobo growled at her, and her eyes watered as to how much power he released on her.

"Calm down Alpha," I interjected and pulled Zineb away. " She is your sister after all"

Lobo stared at me for a second and then walked back to his desk and sat down.

"I am warning Zineb, you better not fuck around with me, "Lobo said to her before she rushed out of the office close to tears.

Once the door closed, Lobo turned to me and said, " Keep a close eye on her. She is bound to cause trouble. I was planning on sending her back to Japan to negotiate with the Yakuza but she found the BoryoKudan. There is still hope in getting the Tabular crystal, even though I know Zineb is dangerous and a loose cannon."

"What would you advise we do, Alpha?" I spoke up.

"Get Lyal to Canada as fast as possible. Boris Carter was reckless this time, and I suspect Lucian and Conri are on to him. I am more interested in the creature. Would you have any information about it? "

"No. But I can get the enforcers to silently investigate. "I said out loud, pretending to think hard.

"What about Tala?" Lobo raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean, Alpha?" I asked.

"Find one of the enforcers in the pack that is good at trailing someone. Let him follow Lucian. I would like to know if Conri is keeping the creature at the Freki mansion" Lobo’s eyes glowed.

"Yes Alpha, "I nodded and pretended to agree.

"That will be all. " He waved his hand to dismiss me. I walked out of his office and found Boris, Keith, and Jaxton waiting by the Pack reception. I ignored them and walked to my office, and heard them snicker.

I entered my office and found Zineb waiting for me while Sasha Freki placed herself on the couch as she owned it.

"Hunter, I need a favor. "She stood up and said.

"What is it?" I asked her, hoping that she would not ask me to do anything illegal.

"Accompany me to the Freki Mansion. I want to go and see my son," she stated.

My heart skipped a beat, and I Hemming growled with joy. This was the perfect opportunity for me to see Tala without having to hide or sneak around.
