Chapter 726: Chapter 716: Mental Contamination

The new woman had a slender figure, with her jet-black hair rising skyward like a vast black net, arrogantly twisting behind her.

Her face was filled with terror, but her body wasn’t under her own control. Her two eyes looked completely out of sync, with black veins bulging around her right eye, and the flesh around her throat torn away, with a mass of vocal cords sticking to it.

Wen Wen kept one hand behind his back and held the Blood River Sword in the other, squinting at Ms. M.

"The most dangerous thing is this hair monster itself. The woman it’s controlling is insignificant in strength. She is still resisting the hair’s control, and there’s a clear warning before she attacks. Just pay more attention, and it’ll be fine," he said.

"What’s most important now is not to let these two monsters fuse together, otherwise the difficulty of dealing with them will skyrocket..."

After thinking for a while, Wen Wen snapped his fingers, and the hair at the back of his head also began to grow wildly, morphing to look just like the hair monster’s.

The hair-monster-controlled Ms. M was taken aback. How did another one of those things appear?

Taking advantage of her moment of confusion, Wen Wen’s feet stamped fiercely on the ground, propelling him forward like a rocket, with a layer of black Sword Qi twining around the Blood River Sword.

In the blink of an eye, Wen Wen was already at the side of the hair monster. The black longsword was suddenly brought down on Ms. M’s abdomen, severing her waist.

But Wen Wen’s momentum didn’t stop; he used his foot as a brake and then turned, leaving two deep marks on the cement surface.

After turning around, Wen Wen grasped the hilt with both hands and made another vertical slash. A black dragon-like Sword Qi burst forth from the longsword, flashing past from the back of Ms. M’s head to between her legs.

Wen Wen set down the longsword and took a deep breath out; the black Sword Qi still lingered in the air, leaving a trail like two intertwined black dragons.

This was the Mysterious Sword Technique nicknamed Xunlong Slash.

This move was a simplification of the ’Dragon Slayer Style,’ the final sword technique of the Nameless Swordsmanship. Although the original Dragon Slayer Style was immensely powerful, it was quite complicated to execute and wasn’t suitable against small creatures.

This sword technique was one of the most powerful sword techniques Wen Wen could use at the moment.

He wasn’t certain about the details of the black hair, but since those two low-tier superhumans had managed to hold on for so long against it, it probably wasn’t as strange as this Skin Monster. Therefore, he didn’t hold back and aimed for a one-hit kill.

The Skin Monster was right next to them; if the fight dragged on for too long and allowed the two to merge, it would get troublesome.

After a two-second pause, Ms. M let out a piercing scream, her body directly shattering, falling to the ground in four pieces.

The black hair tried to recombine, but Wen Wen casually threw an icicle at it, temporarily freezing the hair in place. As long as they didn’t merge, they posed no threat to Wen Wen.

Wen Wen let out a sigh of relief. Now, as long as he could separate and preserve these things, his mission would be...

Not yet complete!

His body hair stood on end all of a sudden, and a sense of crisis welled up within him. His inspiration spread out, cautiously scanning his surroundings.

"Something’s wrong, but where is the problem?" he wondered.

Wen Wen knew that the pang he just felt came from an inner sense of alarm, but he was clueless about the exact source of danger.

Suddenly, a pale hand emerged from the ground, grasping Wen Wen’s ankle, and began spreading from his ankle upward.

Wen Wen looked down and his complexion turned to shock, "This hand, it’s the Skin Monster! But I had sealed it in ice..."

He looked toward the ice sealing the Skin Monster; it was still obediently inside the ice, but Wen Wen quickly understood what was happening.

"Underground!"

"This creature can extend its body at will, what was left in the ice is only a part of its exoskeleton, and the rest of it has always been beneath the ground."

Wen Wen’s body suddenly erupted with great Strength, a black Sword Qi struck directly above his ankle, and then he teleported dozens of meters away instantaneously.

Originally, Wen Wen had thought that the creature would continue to cling to him, but he hadn’t expected the Skin Monster to release him so easily and then leisurely crawl out from the ground.

After coming out, the Skin Monster casually walked towards the direction of the head creature, and from its current demeanor, where did it look like the stupidity it had displayed earlier?

After all, it had a brain, albeit a very small one, but that did not stop it from possessing an intelligence far superior to other flesh and blood monsters.

After engaging in combat for a while, the Skin Monster realized it was no match for Wen Wen and also sensed a danger emanating from him, knowing that Wen Wen had the ability to scatter its hard-earned body once again.

So, when it was frozen by Wen Wen, it pretended it couldn’t break out from there, while at the same time placing most of its body underground, thus it was ready to either escape or attack Wen Wen with ease.

To its delight, it had actually found its hair, eyes, and vocal cords here, and after these parts were gathered together, its strength would increase further.

Therefore, it didn’t obsess over injuring Wen Wen but just forced him to flee, because Wen Wen was never what mattered most to it.

The body of the Skin Monster began to elongate eerily, turning into a pale canvas that spread directly over the split open body of Ms. M.

"Not good!"

A twitch passed through the corner of Wen Wen’s eye as he flung several strikes of Sword Qi, but these strikes merely slid off the Skin Monster, which ultimately still stood up.

By now, the Skin Monster, with long hair draping over its shoulders and a body like a leather balloon, was supported by Ms. M’s body, taking on a human form at last.

But this body could only exist inside the Skin Monster for a few hours at most; even if it deliberately avoided digesting it, she wouldn’t last much longer.

"I... can speak now... I..."

It hopped around on the spot like a disabled child before taking a huge leap towards Wen Wen, its speed so fast it made the corners of Wen Wen’s mouth twitch slightly.

"This Speed is already on a different level from before... much faster than me. It probably already possesses True Sequence-level strength."

Once by Wen Wen’s side, the Skin Monster didn’t launch an attack but began to pull at its own facial skin, kneading it like dough.

Finally, it pulled up the corners of its mouth and spat out the severed tongue of Ms. M, licking the air wickedly and making bizarre noises.

Upon seeing this, Wen Wen took a sudden step back, averting his gaze from the Skin Monster as a crimson mist appeared on his body.

This is Frenzy!

The moment he saw the Skin Monster’s grotesque expression, the urge to kill, which Wen Wen hadn’t felt in a long while, surged up once more. If he continued to stare at this creature’s expression, Wen Wen feared he would start a massacre.

Its actions carried a mental Contamination, and even a superpower user of Wen Wen’s caliber couldn’t be completely immune.

"Damn it, what exactly is the main body of this thing."

"Just some spare parts assembled together, and it can create such a terrifying monster?"

The Skin Monster, seeing that Wen Wen hadn’t gone mad, seemed somewhat dissatisfied. It reached behind itself and pulled its own skin like a rubber band, stretching it out to tens of meters before gently releasing it.

That skin snapped back in an instant, lightly whipping onto the Skin Monster’s back.

At the same moment, a tremendous force suddenly hit Wen Wen in the chest and abdomen. Unprepared, Wen Wen was sent flying, crashing into a building and passing through several rooms before coming to a stop.
