Chapter 703: Chapter 693: Seizure of Power Plan
Barcode, whose head was covered in barcodes, cleared his throat and tapped on the table, gesturing to the Fabricator, "Hey, look here... I am fully in charge of this negotiation."
"You?"
The Fabricator glanced at Barcode and his aura began to turn dangerous. He issued a sharp female voice, "I have shown my sincerity by coming here to negotiate personally. Are you insulting me by having an unassimilated lackey negotiate with me?"
If it weren’t for the fact that he desperately wanted to complete a deal with the Foundation, the Fabricator would have already lashed out violently. Among the four high-order members of Absurd Words, he had the best temperament, but he was no Mr. Nice Guy who could be insulted without getting angry.
Barcode was not at all flustered, "The reason I am handling the negotiations is simply because I am very familiar with the Coding Organization. As for the insult you mentioned, that is certainly not the case. The presence of this gentleman clearly shows how much we value you..."
A tall figure emerged from behind Barcode, lifted his black and red robe, revealing white briefs.
This person was none other than Ais Wakaz, who had been confined in the Sanctuary by Wen Wen!
Since Ais understood the horrors of the Sanctuary better than other monsters, he had quickly become Wen Wen’s loyal lackey after being interrogated by him.
Whether he was sincere or not, he at least kept a very low profile, putting pressure on other lackeys like the Faceless Demon.
Probably only the sunglass-wearing Jidro could outdo Ais Wakaz in sycophancy.
The Fabricator was a high-order, and so was Ais Wakaz. With him present, Barcode was well-placed to negotiate on equal terms with the Fabricator.
However, Ais was not like a typical high-order. When he exerted his strength, it was only equivalent to a monster just entering the Disaster Level...
"I am infuriated. It seems you do not wish to negotiate after all. May those who slight me be scorched by fierce flames!"
The Fabricator extended his right hand toward Ais, the palm featuring a voluptuous red lip. As soon as the voice emerged, flames mysteriously ignited on Ais’s body.
But a shell-like foam quickly grew on Ais’s body, isolating all the flames, and as the burning skin peeled away, Ais Wakaz was completely unharmed.
Wen Wen, observing in the shadows, was intrigued. The Fabricator’s ability seemed interesting. He was not an Ability User with flame attribute; the flames on Ais arose only because of that statement about fierce flames.
This ability was somewhat similar to the Decree ability of the True-order Master, Chaikov, which allowed for one’s words to become reality. Although far less powerful than Chaikov’s, it offered greater flexibility.
Seeing Ais casually neutralize his attack, a hint of wariness flashed in the Fabricator’s eyes.
This strangely powerful man in briefs seemed to be at his level.
The fact that such a strong figure had been standing motionlessly behind, seemingly obeying Barcode’s commands... that hidden Secret Organization must be no trivial matter. His earlier decision to avoid direct conflict was indeed correct.
After a moment of reflection, the Fabricator immediately resumed his gentle male voice, "Just now I was merely testing this friend’s ability. Please don’t take it the wrong way. Shall we begin now?"
Barcode was momentarily stunned; this Fabricator’s ability to switch faces was impressive. Suppressing his internal criticism, he invited the Fabricator to sit down.
The negotiation went much smoother than Barcode had anticipated. All the Code strengths held by Absurd Words were listed by the Fabricator in a spreadsheet and handed to Barcode. As long as a consensus was reached, the Fabricator would immediately transfer everything on the list to the Foundation. With these people and resources, the Coding Organization could almost immediately start normal operations.
"So, Mr. Fabricator, what will be the price?"
The muscles on the Fabricator’s face twitched upwards, seemingly forming a smile.
"I wish to exchange these items for one instance of your organization’s help, and should the endeavor succeed, I shall offer a generous reward afterward."
...
Having heard all the terms from the Fabricator via the Barcode, Wen Wen suddenly burst out laughing.
This Fabricator actually wanted the Foundation to help him defeat the other two high orders and seize the power of Absurd Words upon the death of the ’Prankster King’!
After the success, he would allow the Foundation to choose at least one high order level Containment Item from the treasury of Absurd Words.
High order level Containment Items were indeed something Wen Wen desired; perhaps they were treasures akin to the Bow of Gestation.
But he truly wanted to ask if the Fabricator had considered the risks of involving someone unfamiliar with the internal dynamics in the power transition within the organization; it might lead to unexpected complications, no?
At least from Wen Wen’s standpoint, members of such a secretive organization like Absurd Words could be utilized to stock the Sanctuary or sold to the Hunters Association for merits.
Perhaps, in the Fabricator’s eyes, the Foundation was a secret organization similar to Absurd Words?
But involving secret organizations could be even more dangerous...
Who knew if they would end up dealing with a lunatic like Profane Blood?
One can only say that this individual was so dizzy with power that as long as he could become the spokesman for the Evil God, he was willing to accept any damage to Absurd Words itself.
After much thought, Wen Wen nevertheless agreed; he was determined to help the Fabricator become the new king of Absurd Words!
However, whether the process of helping would lead to Absurd Words being pillaged clean, whether there might be ’accidental’ harm to allies, or whether it might inadvertently bring the Hunters Association’s main forces over...
That Wen Wen couldn’t guarantee; it all depended on fate.
After getting a positive response from the Barcode, the Fabricator’s mood improved significantly, and he engaged in more detailed discussions with the Barcode...
In the distant bushes, Heng An put down his binoculars, seeing the Barcode and the Fabricator talking merrily, he knew the deal was sealed.
So, he said to An Yuexi standing beside him, "Now everything has ended, the Coding Organization has been won back, and you’re no longer needed here, so I..."
An Yuexi widened her eyes, pointing at Heng An in horror and said, "I can’t believe you are that kind of person. Are you trying to ’discard the mill once the grain is ground’?"
Heng An covered his forehead and said, "What I mean is, you won’t be in danger anymore, so I’m going to take you to an orphanage..."
An Yuexi’s identity played a significant role in taking over the Coding Organization. Had it not been for her, the Fabricator might not have even needed to negotiate, so the Foundation wouldn’t underappreciate her.
An Yuexi crossed her arms and scoffed, "Heh, to think you would use an innocent girl completely and then toss her aside like a bother, I didn’t expect you to be such a scumbag."
"I..." Heng An was at a loss for words.
Lately, he had been protecting An Yuexi, treating her with great respect all the while, but the girl always said things that could easily be misunderstood.
Walking on the street, he was even regarded as a pervert, and an old lady even called the police on him...
