Chapter 688: Chapter 678: Isweet’s Obsession with Cleanliness
After sitting on the ground for a while, Wen Wen stood up and stretched lazily.
Even though he had escaped from the Tings Hounds, Wen Wen’s situation was still tense. By entering the Sanctuary in front of the Guide, he must have confirmed Wen Wen’s identity.
Now that his identity was known, it was uncertain what that guy might do, but it was definitely not good news for Wen Wen.
Wen Wen still remembered Nivea’s warnings. Even though the Guide was only a True Order Realm, he was as dangerous to Wen Wen as a Catastrophe Level master.
Therefore, Wen Wen couldn’t go out for the time being. Once he did, he might just run into that guy waiting for him, and it was uncertain whether he could smoothly enter the Sanctuary again.
Since the Guide was once a high-ranking official within the Sanctuary, he definitely knew Wen Wen would reappear from the place he vanished, which meant Wen Wen couldn’t take the risk.
But he had already taken Tao Qingqing into the Sanctuary, and all the other monsters released were in the Capital District. If he didn’t want to give up on the Demon Hunter exchange meeting, he could only choose to exit the way he came in.
It seemed like a stalemate, but it wasn’t without solutions for Wen Wen.
Thinking about it differently, since he had to leave from the original spot, all he needed to do was drive away the Guide who was staking out there.
Signals could indeed be transmitted within the Sanctuary. He could simply make a phone call and have Xun Qing and the others come here to drive the Guide away, then he could leave from here!
So, he immediately dialed Xun Qing’s number and told him everything about the attack by Stein and seeing a mysterious person from the True Order Realm together with Stein.
On the phone, Wen Wen greatly exaggerated the danger of the Guide and informed them that the Guide might be waiting in the area, advising them to be extra cautious.
Because of the previous incident with Illiyat, the information provided by Wen Wen still held some credibility among the group of True-order Masters.
Although they wouldn’t fully believe Wen Wen, at least they would investigate the area. Once they verified the authenticity of Wen Wen’s information, the Guide wouldn’t be able to stake out anymore.
To ensure safety, Wen Wen planned to wait at least a day, considering leaving only after getting a response from Xun Qing about the situation there.
If the information from Xun Qing didn’t prove that the Guide was no longer waiting there, Wen Wen wouldn’t try to return the same way, even if he came out from the Capital District.
For the whole day, Wen Wen had to stay in the Sanctuary. He needed to find something to occupy himself, starting with comforting Tao Qingqing.
Initially, she was under Illiyat’s Mind Control when Wen Wen forcibly brought her back to the Sanctuary, so who knew if there would be any after-effects.
During this time, Tao Qingqing acted as Wen Wen’s assistant, really helping Wen Wen with many mundane tasks.
Gathering data, preparing for battle, acquiring resources, dealing with the Association on Wen Wen’s behalf, and even various menial errands, all were handled by Tao Qingqing alone, while Wen Wen just enjoyed himself and fought monsters.
Even Wen Wen’s smelly socks were washed by Tao Qingqing, who occasionally also cut his fingernails and toenails, and then fed them to the Three Cubs...
If something happened to Tao Qingqing, the quality of Wen Wen’s life would drop significantly.
...
Illiyat stood on Wen Wen’s shoulder, looking at the mystical space of the Sanctuary with a surprised expression.
That’s right, when Wen Wen entered the Sanctuary, he had brought Illiyat along with him.
When Tao Qingqing vanished, Illiyat had felt something was amiss. How did Wen Wen make a vampire, charmed by guile, disappear into thin air?
It seems now that Tao Qingqing must be in this space, filling Illiyat’s heart with joy.
A blessing in disguise, although he was unlucky enough to be besieged by five True-order Masters today, he had also stumbled upon such a treasury by chance!
Although only limited things could be seen from Wen Wen’s shoulders, Illiyat was certain that this was at least a Catastrophe Level space!
How could a little guy like Wen Wen, who only possesses Upper Sequence strength, own such a powerful space?
His first step was to find Tao Qingqing, control her to recover his strength in the shadows, and then, once his strength had recovered sufficiently, he would take out Wen Wen and fully occupy this space!
Although Tao Qingqing was special, her traits might not be applicable to all of the Blood Clan.
But this space, at the very least of Catastrophe Level, could instantly boost Illiyat’s foundation significantly, skyrocketing the probability of catching up with the Blood Emperor.
A vampire who doesn’t want to become the Blood Emperor is not a good member of the Blood Clan!
Then he watched Wen Wen step into a strange staircase, which slowly ascended, stopping inside another large hall; in the center of the hall was a giant tadpole-shaped water blob, with countless smaller tadpole water blobs swimming inside the larger one.
Holding Wen Wen’s collar, Illiyat spoke as though he were surveying his own territory, "This space is layered too? Nice, very nice, I’m growing fonder of it by the minute. That thing that looks like shit, however, is rather disgusting."
He was talking to himself, a monologue for his own ears; even with Wen Wen by his side, he could not hear.
"I am not disgusting, you are disgusting, absolutely reeking,"
came a sudden, emotionless voice. A water tadpole no larger than a fingernail, brandishing a tiny cloth, looked at Illiyat with slightly angered eyes.
"How did you discover me, and why can you hear my voice!"
Illiyat was startled; he didn’t expect that in his current form, he would be discovered by this eerie water blob.
Subsequently, Illiyat saw more and more small water blobs appearing around him.
Some of these water tadpoles held miniature mops, others had mini spray bottles with disinfectant, and so on. With rather rudimentary facial features formed by water flows, they all looked at him with highly displeased expressions. Each little tadpole was actually a fragment of the Living Water Spirit Isweet.
At first glance, this scene could be called somewhat cute, but for Illiyat, all that was left was a sense of horror.
He, in this form, had almost sacrificed all of his strength, keeping only the top-notch hidden abilities within the True Order Realm. Yet, he was still discovered by these beings that looked like a joke?
The probing ability of Isweet was inherently strong enough to be called perverted, but he had not anticipated an invader like Illiyat.
The discovery of Illiyat was actually just a coincidence. Besides being laconic, Isweet possessed another trait – he had an obsession with cleanliness.
Such a large water blob, if placed in a dirty environment, could easily become contaminated, which is why Isweet continually released a bunch of small water tadpoles, keeping the whole three-story hall clean.
The cleaning capacity of these little creatures could be said to be on a molecular level; not a speck of dust, a particle, or a bacterium could escape Isweet’s cleansing.
Even with Illiyat’s powerful hidden abilities, when every corner of this space housed a fragment of the Living Water Spirit, remaining hidden was nearly impossible.
In this situation, Illiyat still managed to be foul-mouthed, and Isweet certainly wouldn’t let him off the hook.
