Chapter 664: Chapter 654 Testing the Bow of Gestation

"Does the Skyrocketing Monkey have anything to do with monkeys..."

Wen Wen struggled to suppress his urge to scoff and asked Zhu Qipei, "Can’t you make the pregnancy effect more precise? This randomness can’t achieve the effect I want."

Zhu Qipei nodded and said, "Of course there is a way. If you want the target to become pregnant with something specific, simply smear the tissue of that organism onto the arrowhead before shooting. However, by doing this, you’ll need to ensure the arrowhead hits the target’s lower abdomen accurately."

"Actually, I think the randomness is what makes this bow and arrow interesting. There’s even a chance for a dog to become pregnant with a T-rex, or for a T-rex to become pregnant with a Gundam..."

Wen Wen shook his head and said, "Randomness is fun for casual use, but if you want to incapacitate someone immediately, you have to make them pregnant with something explosive."

Seeing Wen Wen take the Bow of Gestation, Zhu Qipei rubbed his hands and revealed a mischievous smile, "About that... I still want a few dolls. Can you customize them for me?"

Wen Wen couldn’t help but roll his eyes. Weren’t the several dolls he sold to him enough? Had they been used up already, or maybe even broken?

Come to think of it, considering his way of using them, it wouldn’t be surprising if some dolls were indeed broken...

"I can customize for you, but the craftsmen have raised their prices, so the cost of the dolls has increased, too."

Zhu Qipei didn’t hesitate and said, "Price is not a problem, as long as the product is good."

Wen Wen was speechless. After a while, he said, "Speaking of which, I’m surprised you haven’t used the bow and arrow to try and create female Pig-headed people. That actually impresses me."

Zhu Qipei responded gloomily, "Do you think I haven’t tried? Using my cells, I can only create male Pig-headed people. And if it’s random..."

Seeing his expression, Wen Wen knew his attempts had not gone well, so he didn’t pursue the matter further.

After a brief chat, Wen Wen, satisfied with the monsters’ efficient and decisive action, went to the local electronics market in Tongling City to buy a batch of learning machines, which he planned to use as rewards for the monsters.

All these learning machines were custom-made versions with added features. They could only be used for learning and nothing else, so there was no need to worry about the monsters getting distracted and losing their drive by playing with the machines. Wen Wen was indeed a very considerate prison administrator.

After purchasing the learning machines, Wen Wen entered the Sanctuary. His first task was to find Xu Hai and have him set aside time to make five Pig Head dolls.

Xu Hai, who had become a Disaster-Level Puppet Master, trembled at the thought. The experience of making Pig Head Dolls was still vivid in his mind and had even become one of his psychological scars. He hadn’t expected Wen Wen to ask him to make such things again.

But Wen Wen didn’t care about Xu Hai’s feelings. Xu Hai had no say in his decisions.

Then Wen Wen had the prison guards distribute the learning machines. With these machines, assigning homework to the monsters would be a lot less troublesome in the future.

The monsters, upon receiving the gifts, studied the learning machines intently for a while, only to discover that they couldn’t even play Minesweeper. They then collectively expressed their ’gratitude’ to Wen Wen in not-so-flattering terms, while a few sly monsters as usual documented these disrespectful remarks.

Of course, these were minor episodes. What mattered most was to review the spoils of this occasion.

There were two Superpower Items, the Bow of Gestation and Monkey Jaw Thunder. Wen Wen immediately shelved the Monkey Jaw Thunder, intending to use that terrifying thing only as a last resort.

As for the Bow of Gestation...

Wen Wen walked back and forth inside the cell with the Bow of Gestation slightly excited, eager to test its effects.

Although the monsters did not know what the Bow of Gestation was for, Wen Wen’s terrifying expression made them realize it was not something pleasant.

Thus, as Wen Wen passed by, all the monsters instinctively retreated to the corners, with no daring Silly willing to satisfy Wen Wen’s curiosity.

Eventually, Wen Wen set his sights on the Black Blood Princess, a former Middle Order Monster who Wen Wen had captured. She had lost some of her strength and eaten a poisoned apple, leaving her in a continuous coma.

Originally, Wen Wen planned to find someone to kiss her, to draw the poison from her body, but he had not found a suitable sacrificial victim.

However, this time Wen Wen could try shooting her with an arrow, impregnating her, to see if the strong poison in her body could be born out.

After all, the other monsters were terrified of Wen Wen, and only the Black Blood Princess wouldn’t have an opinion on the matter.

As he nocked the arrow, Wen Wen pondered it over and over in his mind, ultimately settling on the Monkey Jaw Thunder. He wanted to see if he could exploit this pregnancy trait to have the monster give birth to some items with strong characteristics.

The arrow radiated a streak of pink light as it hit the comatose Black Blood Princess. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly but never regained consciousness. Immediately, Wen Wen noticed a slight bulge in her abdomen as the poison seemingly gathered there.

According to Zhu Qipei, the person hit by the arrow would instantly complete half of the gestation process, with the remaining half taking the normal amount of time, effectively reducing a ten-month pregnancy to five.

Therefore, there was still some time before the Black Blood Princess would give birth to something. So after briefly observing her, Wen Wen called over a prison guard to constantly monitor Black Blood Princess’s condition.

Satisfied that the bow was tested enough, Wen Wen proceeded to the cells holding Ais Wakaz and Dr. Feng.

Both individuals were now awake, each displaying a different state of being. Ais Wakaz’s face was filled with dread, like a startled bird, whereas Dr. Feng wore a smile, still enthusiastically studying the structure of the Sanctuary.

For him, this was a return from the brink of death. Being imprisoned in a cell was far better than being trapped inside Ais Wakaz’s body.

With a mild gesture from Wen Wen, chains twisted around the two and dragged them to the corner on Wen Wen’s side of the cells.

Unperturbed, Dr. Feng said, "Demon Hunter, we meet again. Now I am your prisoner. You must be troubled by my plant virus. Just release me, and I can help you keep the spreading virus under control."

Wen Wen glanced at him and said, "No need... your virus has already been taken care of by herbicide, just the regular, commercial kind."

"Herbicide?"

Caught off guard, Dr. Feng then raged, "Impossible! How could my virus be solved by herbicide? You must be lying to me!"

With a wave of his hand, Wen Wen bound him with layers of chains, silencing his shouting.

After hearing Wen Wen’s words, Dr. Feng immediately realized his folly; he had never tested his creation against herbicides, which explained his desperate outburst.

It was like a great region spending a fortune building an aircraft carrier, boasting of its powerful technologies, only for it to sink due to water intake on its maiden voyage...
