Chapter 601: Chapter 590: Sword Qi Burst Stream
Wings of Steel unfolded behind Wen Wen, and his speed escalated to a higher tier than before, but he could only barely drag Xiuluman through the chaos of Yueshan City.
During the escape, Wen Wen nearly traversed half of the West City District, where everywhere he saw was in total disarray, battles raging at every corner, littered with the corpses of Tiger-like Tribes.
Throughout the chase, Xiuluman constantly shot those exceptionally powerful rays, destroying everything around Wen Wen. Fortunately, Wen Wen was never hit, but many Tiger-like Tribes dragged into this were not so lucky.
Initially, the Tiger-like Tribes could organize some manpower to effectively counterattack the Demon Hunters, but with Xiuluman’s reckless intrusion, many of their arrangements were destroyed, and they were further suppressed by the Demon Hunters.
At the start of his flight, Wen Wen sought to find Eightfold, for only someone in the True Order Realm like Eightfold, had the capacity to help him rid of the huge trouble that was Xiuluman.
However, when he found Eightfold, he saw that Eightfold and Jin Dahuo were deeply engaged in a fierce battle, nearly destroying everything around the Royal Palace.
With his bizarre abilities, Eightfold was nearly invincible in close combat, but Jin Dahuo was no pushover either.
His body was like gold with extreme malleability, able to switch between human and tiger forms at will, while also manipulating nearby gold as weapons to attack Eightfold.
The two seemed unable to determine a winner in a short time. If Wen Wen were to drag Xiuluman into their fight, it could potentially doom Eightfold.
Thus, Wen Wen could only keep fleeing, turning himself into a harbinger of chaos in the battlefield of Yueshan City, making the conflict even more unpredictable.
The more he fled, the more anxious Wen Wen became. Xiuluman himself represented a Disaster True Sequence, and although he seemed to lack intelligence, the gang of convicts dealing with the Tiger-like Tribes couldn’t possibly have just sent Xiuluman.
Therefore, there must be other fugitives lurking in the shadows within Yueshan City...
Lost in thought, Wen Wen suddenly saw a golden Sword Qi soaring through the air, its domineering blade light directly slicing Xiuluman into two, the halves wriggling on the ground.
Wen Wen halted his frantic dash, seeing Qiao Feiya landing beside him half-crouching, to which Wen Wen asked in surprise, "How did you get here?"
Qiao Feiya placed her longsword on her shoulder and said, "You’ve been fleeing with that monster all over the district, anyone would have noticed. So after I dealt with that Tiger-like creature, I came to help you... I’ve been wanting to fight a monster from the True Order Realm for a while now."
"Are you confident?" Wen Wen asked joyously, as it would be great if Qiao Feiya could help him get rid of this pursuer.
Qiao Feiya smiled confidently and said, "Not at all."
"Then why are you so confident..." Wen Wen helplessly retorted.
"If Demon Hunters lack the confidence of victory and shy away from battle, then who would protect the common folks when powerful monsters appear?" Qiao Feiya countered, leaving Wen Wen speechless.
Protecting the common people, these simple words had cost many lives since the inception of the Hunters Association.
Wen Wen was certain he would never sacrifice his life for others, but this did not stop him from deeply respecting those who could.
No sooner had they exchanged a few words than Xiuluman, now split in half by the Sword Qi, had already reformed. The previous attack seemed to have caused it no harm whatsoever.
Wen Wen spoke rapidly, "Since you want to fight it, there are a few things you need to pay attention to."
"First, neither your sword nor your body should come into contact with this monster, otherwise you will dissolve into the same form as it, so try to use Sword Qi for long-range attacks."
"Second, this monster will emit an extremely powerful ray from its eyes, don’t try to block that ray..."
Before Wen Wen could finish, Xiuluman’s body rapidly transformed into a five-meter tall black monster with four legs and six arms.
Its body, covered with numerous eyes emitting a strange glow, without any foreplay, several beams were simultaneously shot at the two of them. With Wen Wen’s warning, Qiao Feiya didn’t attempt to block the colorful rays with her sword.
Then, a golden light ignited on Qiao Feiya’s body, and she charged toward Xiuluman like a longsword.
Seeing that Qiao Feiya had already engaged Xiuluman, Wen Wen couldn’t just walk away. So, he too clenched his teeth and attacked Xiuluman.
Xiuluman’s body was highly corrosive. It managed to handle both Wen Wen and Qiao Feiya with six arms, still with ease.
As a Shark Warrior, Wen Wen was naturally restrained by Xiuluman, unable to perform many of his techniques, making the fight extremely tough for him.
But Qiao Feiya’s combat prowess truly impressed Wen Wen; she was like a fighting machine, with each movement and sword swing terrifyingly precise. Her longsword never touched Xiuluman’s body once, yet her Sword Qi had already caused damage to Xiuluman.
From just this brief observation of the fight, Wen Wen confirmed that if he didn’t use some tricky moves, he would definitely be no match for Qiao Feiya.
After the fight had continued for a while, Wen Wen and Qiao Feiya jumped back, both panting heavily, and Xiuluman did not pursue them further.
Qiao Feiya said to Wen Wen, "If we continue like this, we two can’t win. You must have noticed it’s not using its full strength and isn’t showing any signs of fatigue."
"So, I’m going to use a big move soon, and no matter what, it will restrain it. You need to cooperate with me, use this opportunity to inflict as much damage as you can!"
Wen Wen nodded in agreement, curious about what Qiao Feiya’s big move would be.
Qiao Feiya took a deep breath, gripping her golden longsword with both hands, the thick golden sword light emanating from the hilt: "Sword Qi Burst Stream!"
Her arms swung like lightning, each sword strike releasing a beam of golden Sword Qi, all precisely hitting Xiuluman. Due to the rapid sword movements, it seemed as though there was a column of golden light in front of her.
Wen Wen had to exert his full strength to produce each blade of Sword Qi, yet Qiao Feiya was releasing these powerful beams as if they were Gatling bullets.
Xiuluman, initially unconcerned, let itself be struck by the Sword Qi, but after only two seconds, it could no longer bear the pain.
Xiuluman’s body writhed as if boiling, with black liquid intermittently flying out and disintegrating in the air.
Within the Sword Qi Burst Stream, it had nowhere to hide and had to form a colossal shield from its black bodily fluid, trying its best to fend off Qiao Feiya’s attacks.
From its defensive actions, Wen Wen could tell that this creature was not impervious to all attacks. If the attack exceeded its tolerance threshold, it could be injured, and it could die!
