Chapter 531: Chapter 529: Giant Mirror Nightmare
Upon Jidro’s request, Wen Wen thought for a while before finally agreeing.
The condition was that he had to spare the life of Mirror Nightmare and ensure that the ability to open the door of Mirror World would not disappear, no matter whose possession the ability ultimately ended up in.
After all, Jidro had exerted some effort in the process of dealing with Mirror Nightmare, so Wen Wen was willing to share some benefits with him.
Moreover, as one of his faithful lackeys, it was indeed necessary for Jidro to become stronger.
As for Mirror Nightmare, even if she lost most of her Strength, as long as she retained some basic properties, for Wen Wen, it was like reaching into a toilet—it was enough.
After receiving Wen Wen’s approval, Jidro said with tears of gratitude, "Great master, if I could step out of the mirror, I would really want to kiss your shoes."
Wen Wen nodded and said, "No worries, we will be going to the Mirror World soon enough, then you can come out of the mirror."
Jidro: "..."
He was just saying it offhand; don’t take it seriously. Who would actually want to kiss shoes!
With the Magic Mirror in hand, Wen Wen reappeared in the Mirror World, right at the spot where he vanished.
His time in the Sanctuary was brief, and by now, Mirror Nightmare should be preparing a method to deal with him, but no matter how Mirror Nightmare struggled, it was in vain.
Breaking through the last barrier, Wen Wen landed on the ground as fragments of mirror scattered around him.
The core of the Magic Cube was much larger than the outer cubes and was decorated in a lavish red and black color scheme, with differently shaped mirrors visible everywhere.
In a corner bookshelf, there were over thirty original drawing albums. As long as Wen Wen got his hands on those albums, he could rescue the rest of the girls, even if he hadn’t found them in the maze.
In this space, only Mirror Nightmare was waiting for Wen Wen, and he could sense that the Mirror Nightmare before him was the true form.
"Where’s Guo Shengye, did he abandon you and run off?" Wen Wen asked nonchalantly, holding a cane and puffing on a cigarette holder.
"I banished him from the Mirror World; it’s safer outside than in here."
With bitterness in her tone, Mirror Nightmare conveyed that the core of the Magic Cube was the wellspring of her Strength. Guo Shengye could leave, but she could not.
When she thought back on the confidence Guo Shengye had had in sharing their adversity, and his bewildered expression when she forcibly ejected him from the Mirror World, Mirror Nightmare’s heart ached uncontrollably.
But this was something she had to do; at the very least, it meant Guo Shengye could stay alive.
Instinctively, she felt that if Wen Wen caught him, Guo Shengye’s fate would be even more pitiful.
"Don’t worry, after I deal with you, he, a mere mortal, won’t be able to escape from me," Wen Wen said ruthlessly.
The core of the Magic Cube began to distort like a water balloon, taking on strange shapes, while an indescribable pressure descended on Wen Wen.
"You underestimate me. This is my domain after all. In the heart of the maze, my Strength is countless times stronger than anywhere else!"
"And I’ve completely sealed off the core area. Any passage to the real world will not open here!"
"Even if you win against me, you’ll be trapped here forever, until death!"
No sooner had her words fallen than all the mirrors in the core area shattered, countless fragments swirling around her like a tornado, before fusing like glass pieces onto her body.
When the whirlwind of mirror shards vanished, standing before Wen Wen was not the slender, silver-haired beauty, but a Giantess over a dozen meters tall with wings on her back.
"I told you that you would regret this, from the moment you stepped in here, you were already doomed!" Mirror Nightmare, holding a mirror-blade Longsword in each hand, pointed at the diminutive Wen Wen and declared.
Wen Wen’s eyes widened in awe as he looked at Mirror Nightmare, then forcefully drew on his cigarette holder before exhaling a puff of smoke.
The smoke in midair condensed into two enormous palms, both of which gave the Mirror Nightmare a thumbs-up.
Nice!
An over ten meters tall woman, sigh!
Even though she was an enemy, Wen Wen had to admit that she was the most majestic person he had ever seen, larger than his entire being!
Who could withstand her!
Wen Wen felt somewhat like he did when he was a child watching tokusatsu shows, seeing Ulutorman’s mother for the first time.
But after admiring her for a moment, he said to the Mirror Nightmare in disappointment, "I can understand your body growing larger, but why did your clothes grow with you? That’s totally unscientific!"
As soon as the Mirror Nightmare heard Wen Wen’s words, she exploded with rage and swung her sword at him with a gnashing of teeth.
"Shameless!"
If outsiders had seen this scene, they might think that Wen Wen was the villain who needed to be killed, and the Mirror Nightmare the helpless girl being bullied by the villain.
But in fact, Wen Wen deliberately created this atmosphere; he liked to fight under this kind of vibe.
Well, perverts, having some odd quirks is normal, right?
Wen Wen easily dodged the giant sword and took the opportunity to grab the blade with the Catastrophe Gloves, yanking it hard toward the ground, pulling the Mirror Nightmare down to the earth as well.
Although her entire body had grown larger, she had also become less agile.
Her huge body fell to the ground and even bounced a bit, making Wen Wen somewhat dizzy.
"No wait, it’s not just dizziness, the whole space is shaking!"
Wen Wen poked the ground with his hand; the texture was strange, as tough and flexible as rubber.
The perverse expression on his face faded, replaced by a slightly more solemn one.
Although the Mirror Nightmare was clumsy, the power of her sword was not small; it was even stronger than Wen Wen’s regular attacks, yet such an attack left not a single mark on the ground.
Wen Wen put his full strength into his blows, which although powerful, probably couldn’t break through the core area’s walls.
If Wen Wen didn’t have Sanctuary, he might indeed be trapped here forever, just like the Mirror Nightmare had mentioned.
"Too bad there’s no ’if’, Sanctuary is not something that can be sealed by such petty tricks; I can still come and go freely here..." he said.
Wen Wen put away his cane and pipe, drew out the Ice Longsword, and swung a great Ice Dragon straight at the Mirror Nightmare.
The Ice Dragon was blocked by the Mirror Nightmare’s wings, which turned into two large ice blocks, but with a couple of shakes of her wings, the ice fell off entirely.
Pieces of the wings’ mirrors had also been shattered by the Freezing, but those fragments were strangely recombined by a force, reforming the wings of the Mirror Nightmare.
"Her defenses are stronger than I thought..." he noted.
After withstanding Wen Wen’s control, the Mirror Nightmare swung her two giant swords while her blade-like wings kept striking at Wen Wen incessantly.
After only a short struggle, Wen Wen realized that although the Mirror Nightmare appeared clumsy, she was not as easy to deal with as she seemed.
If he didn’t put forth some real skill, it might not be so easy for Wen Wen to defeat her.
