Chapter 527: Chapter 525: Mirror Image Guards

"Come with me, I’ll take you out of here," Wen Wen said, extending his hand to Meng Jiao.

Meng Jiao shook her head violently, refusing to leave the room.

Wen Wen patiently comforted her, "Don’t worry, I’m very strong. Those monsters are no match for me."

"I won’t go out, I’ll die if I go out, I’ll die if I go out..." Meng Jiao covered her head, not listening to Wen Wen’s words at all.

Wen Wen smacked his lips and said, "This doesn’t seem to be simple fear. It must be some strong psychological suggestion making her stay here."

"Then gentle methods probably won’t work."

So, Wen Wen immediately switched to a fierce and menacing expression, turning the Holy Light behind his head into a dense Black Mist.

Meng Jiao was instantly stunned, too scared to speak.

Wen Wen grabbed her chin, speaking harshly, "Listen here, saving you is my business, you have no right to refuse, nor do I need your consent. Just cooperate, and you’ll suffer less, otherwise... harrumph!"

Eventually, Meng Jiao succumbed to the intimidation of Wen Wen the villain and allowed Wen Wen to tie a rope around both her hands, leading her out of the bedroom like leading cattle.

However, Wen Wen soon realized that bringing Meng Jiao along might not be a wise choice.

Having her around slowed down Wen Wen’s efficiency, and she couldn’t use the shortcuts created by Wen Wen, forcing him to follow the paths laid out by the maze.

Well, Wen Wen’s so-called shortcuts were actually just blowing up walls with bombs whenever he faced a direction with no path.

Wen Wen, having spent a huge amount of Demon Hunting Coins on various types of bombs, did not mind using them extravagantly since he had enough to level the place several times over.

Although Wen Wen could use these shortcuts, when Meng Jiao tried to pass through, it was as if she hit a wall and couldn’t get through.

It seemed that Wen Wen could pass through these walls because of Jidro, perhaps also because of the Sanctuary.

Even if others destroyed the walls, they could not traverse through the holes, which was one of the rules of the maze.

This also explains why continuously changing positions could block those so-called ’monsters,’ as they too were restricted by this rule.

Next, Wen Wen tried to take Meng Jiao through dimensional travel, but discovered that only he could travel back and forth using spatial marks, while Meng Jiao could not.

This meant that within this maze, only Wen Wen was special.

But Wen Wen couldn’t leave Meng Jiao behind. Once separated, Wen Wen couldn’t even find her.

Thus, the only solution left for Wen Wen was to place Meng Jiao in the Sanctuary first, which would then allow him to proceed with the Sanctuary in tow.

However, in the Mirror Space, locking someone in the Sanctuary took a long time, which gave Wen Wen a headache.

But when he tried to open the Sanctuary, his eyes lit up. Establishing a connection with it was extremely easy, completely lacking the sluggishness You Han felt when he had tried to enter!

There could be two reasons for this phenomenon. The first might be Wen Wen’s own uniqueness. But even if he was special, it shouldn’t be with absolutely no resistance.

The second possibility was that the Sanctuary had also entered the Mirror World with Wen Wen!

When connecting with the Sanctuary, he didn’t need to cross the entire world, so it was much easier.

If it was the latter, Wen Wen might need to adjust his understanding of the Sanctuary’s situation.

However, no matter what, Wen Wen had to send Meng Jiao to a safe place first. He started by knocking Meng Jiao unconscious, then tied her up with chains in preparation to put her in the Sanctuary.

However, Wen Wen only made it halfway before stopping, putting Meng Jiao to the side, and staring in one direction.

He sensed something approaching, and it was very fast!

Wen Wen took out his weapon and prepared for battle, then a strange creature ran in front of him.

It was a Monster two meters tall, with four legs and two claws, and its head resembled an elongated human skull with silver flames burning in its eye sockets.

It had a slender yet ferocious body covered in sharp edges, and its skin, mirror-like, reflected the surrounding scenery, giving it a rather bizarre appearance.

"So this is the Monster that Meng Jiao spoke of... It indeed looks strange, possibly the Guard mentioned by Mirror Nightmare."

"Here... Mirror World, humans... you... expel."

After speaking, the Monster charged towards Wen Wen, with actions swift like a leopard and fierce like a tiger, but this type of opponent posed no threat to Wen Wen.

His black hair bunched together and enveloped the Monster.

But the hair, tougher than a wire, could barely restrain the Monster.

"This shouldn’t be, judging from its movements, it’s not even comparable to a typical Disaster Level, why... my hair is breaking off rapidly!"

"No, not breaking, it’s disappearing."

Wen Wen released the Monster, cracks appearing on its body due to immense pressure, but a significant amount of Wen Wen’s hair had also disappeared.

And even after releasing the Monster, the hair continued to vanish, first the color faded, then the entirety of it disappeared.

Wen Wen deftly dodged the Monster’s attacks while continuously observing it.

"Corrosion? Erasure? Annihilation?"

"No, none of those, the vanished hair is still ’alive’ just not here anymore..."

The Monster, after several missed attacks on Wen Wen, stopped and emitted a screech akin to nails scratching against metal, which, though harsh, carried a particular frequency.

Soon after, Wen Wen heard responses from a dozen more Monsters!

"So there are over a dozen of these creatures, what a hassle."

The Monster looked at Wen Wen and said, "We... Mirror Image Guards,... expel... invaders..."

Listening to the fragmented speech of the Monster, Wen Wen roughly pieced together the true identity of these creatures.

They were likely the ’guards’ of the Mirror World, protecting the native plane of the Mirror World and expelling anything from outside the mirror.

Thus the reason Wen Wen’s attacks vanished upon contact, likely the hair had been transported to the real world.

The labyrinth owned by Mirror Nightmare was probably meant to control these Mirror Image Guards, having forced too much from another world into the Mirror World, it inevitably faced attacks from the Mirror Image Guards.

In facing the attacks of the Mirror Image Guards, Mirror Nightmare chose to trap them in the labyrinth, not only avoiding direct conflict but also utilizing these guards to enhance the maze’s defensive capabilities.

However, these Monsters were not invincible; the cracks on its body proved it could be injured if subjected to an attack beyond its limit.

But while Wen Wen could handle one, the combined assault of over a dozen such Monsters might be more than even Wen Wen could escape unscathed.
