Chapter 518: Chapter 516: The Bizarre Mirror

Guo Shengye looked at the mirror with bewilderment and asked, "What’s wrong with those two people? Why kill them? How will I retrieve my sketchbook after killing them? My current life hasn’t been easy to come by..."

As he finished speaking, the image on the mirror flowed, showing the two Federation Investigators, disguised as Supporters, with earpieces on their ears and alarm devices on their wrists.

Then there was You Han eavesdropping downstairs; every move of hers was clearly observed by Guo Shengye because behind her... there was a mirror!

Guo Shengye’s face darkened; he was no fool. From the scenes displayed in the mirror, it was evident that the two outside his door were not there to seek his help with an investigation. They came specifically for him!

What could they possibly want from him?

He only hesitated for a moment before nodding his head with a ferocious expression.

After Guo Shengye nodded, the perspective in the mirror began to switch, and the reflection of Guo Shengye in the mirror moved towards the two unsuspecting men in suits and reached out his hand towards them.

The two Supporters who were initially curious about whom Guo Shengye was talking to suddenly felt as if a sharp knife had been thrust into their chests!

After trembling erratically for a few moments, they fell to the ground motionless, with foolish expressions on their faces.

Just like the young girls whose souls had been partially stolen, a part of the souls of these two men was also taken by Guo Shengye in the mirror!

However, in the brief moment of losing consciousness, one of the Supporters managed to struggle to press the alarm device hidden in his sleeve, alerting You Han who was downstairs.

Just as she stood up, she felt all her hairs stand on end. Turning her head, she saw the unkempt, seemingly deranged Guo Shengye standing behind her in the mirror!

Yet You Han was certain that there was no one in front of the mirror but herself. Why would Guo Shengye appear in the mirror?

She didn’t have much time to think. Guo Shengye raised the horn-handled dagger in his hand and stabbed towards the reflection of You Han in the mirror.

You Han instinctually raised an arm to block, and even though she no longer had that exaggerated reminder, her body was not something an ordinary knife could injure.

But in the next instant, the arm of the You Han in the mirror was pierced directly by the horn-handled dagger.

Simultaneously, a sharp pain radiated from the corresponding arm of You Han.

You Han’s forehead broke out in fine beads of sweat as she clutched her arm and staggered back a few steps, "The injuries suffered in the mirror reflect on my actual body, and the me in the mirror doesn’t have my real-world defensive abilities!"

"We must let the others know that this guy is much more dangerous than imagined, and he can’t be treated as an ordinary Monster!"

She abruptly kicked the chair in front of her, causing it to shatter the mirror, and she quickly fled the scene.

You Han moved as swiftly as flight, faster than cars, intentionally avoiding all mirrors along the way so as not to give Guo Shengye any chance to succeed.

In a mirror, Guo Shengye saw the fleeing You Han spit disdainfully and his expression became fierce.

"So it’s a superpower user... indeed harder to deal with than ordinary people, but that doesn’t make much of a difference!"

He stretched out his hand in You Han’s direction, and immediately, over a dozen mirrors flew out from the houses around her and started to circle You Han.

You Han let out a light cry, her figure darting about, smashing these mirrors continuously. She wouldn’t give Guo Shengye a chance to confront her through the mirror.

The front was going smoothly, but as she shattered the ninth mirror, her fist suddenly sank into the mirror, and then she was irresistibly sucked in!

From a flawless mirror, Guo Shengye stepped out, picked up the mirror that had trapped You Han, and danced away from the scene...

You Han opened her eyes to find herself in a basement with only a dim light.

There was nothing in this basement except for a large dressing mirror.

"Did he transfer me to another place intending to trap me to death, or am I now simply inside the mirror?"

You Han kicked open the iron door of the cellar, only to find nothing outside.

What existed was just some dazzling, endless silver space!

You Han tried to reach out her hand but discovered that she could not touch the silver expanse no matter what.

The voice of Guo Shengye came from behind her. You Han turned her head and saw Guo Shengye’s face in the mirror, looking at her mockingly.

"Don’t bother, you can’t get out," he said.

And on that mirror, there was no reflection of You Han!

Could she really be trapped inside the mirror?

Suddenly, You Han punched the mirror, only to be repelled far back. She couldn’t destroy the mirror, let alone touch its surface.

Guo Shengye said with a sinister laugh, "You must be very confused and bewildered right now, not understanding where you are, nor what my powers are really about."

You Han stared at Guo Shengye with a stony face—it seemed like this guy was about to reveal some secrets.

"Looking at your expression, you must think I’m going to tell you, huh? You’re truly naïve and adorable!"

Guo Shengye suddenly burst into laughter, "I’m just here to inform you that you’ll never be able to leave this place, you will die here little by little, surrounded by endless confusion and despair!"

"When your corpse is covered with maggots, I will come and enjoy it thoroughly!"

After laughing for a while, Guo Shengye disappeared from the mirror, leaving only You Han with a grim face, who could do nothing but sit in the cramped mirror.

...

Issuing tasks through the Surveillance Point was quite straightforward. Water Tadpole simply cut out a map of the anomaly and created a miniature Crystal Card.

Then, through the Surveillance Point, the information from the Crystal Card was transmitted onto Li Dazhuang’s Custodian Badge, so Li Dazhuang received the task and could follow those hints to find the disruptive monster.

Assigning tasks to Li Dazhuang was easy, but when it came to You Han, it was inexplicably difficult, with the transmission speed so slow it was infuriating.

"Hmm... maybe the Sanctuary should change its internet cable," Wen Wen commented from the side.

Water Tadpole said solemnly, "The Sanctuary has no issues, it’s her that has a problem."

You Han has a problem?

What kind of problem could she have that would prevent her from receiving messages from the Sanctuary?

While Wen Wen was pondering, he received a call from Lin Zheyuan. Two minutes later, Wen Wen hung up the phone looking somber.

The two Supporters supposed to attract Guo Shengye had each lost a part of their souls, and You Han, who was responsible for ensuring their safety, had simply vanished.

By the time Lin Zheyuan and his team found Guo Shengye’s home, it was empty, and no one knew where he had gone.

Through the Sanctuary, Wen Wen could confirm that You Han was still alive but had no idea where she was.

Normally, no matter which corner of the world You Han was in, it should not be so difficult to contact her through the Sanctuary.

Where could she be... could she have been sent to the Inner World?
