Chapter 450: Chapter 448: The Times Have Changed

Subsequently, the Shark Warrior pressed forward, engaging in close combat with Wen Wen.

His boxing style was strange, each punch and kick packed with frightening power, and it seemed like he was using some quite powerful techniques.

These techniques prevented Wen Wen’s strength from being utilized, completely suppressing him, and the Ice Longsword couldn’t even make contact with his opponent.

Although Wen Wen’s strength and speed were superior to the Shark Warrior’s, he was still forced to endure several attacks, leaving his body sore and aching.

No wonder he was a Disaster Upper Order powerhouse; even though his strength had temporarily dropped below Mid-Tier, he was still a tough opponent!

So Wen Wen sheathed his longsword, abandoning his sword techniques.

In close-quarters combat, the Shark Warrior was much stronger than Wen Wen. Continuing the fight would have only resulted in Wen Wen being used as a punching bag. However, Wen Wen had more than just melee combat in his arsenal.

He then created distance, his long hair fluttering, using his resilient hair to temporarily restrict the Shark Warrior’s range of motion.

Without hesitation, Wen Wen pulled out two big trump cards.

The Buddha Gatling and Little Red Riding Hood’s Cloud Bomb rocket launcher!

"Monster, times have changed now!"

Wen Wen sneered as he pulled the firing trigger, and the Cloud Bomb exploded near the Shark Warrior. In an instant, the Shark Warrior was engulfed in flames, and the formidable power caused his skin to crack instantly where there was no retreat.

But when the flames dissipated, the Shark Warrior was still standing in the same place. Though he was clearly injured, he had not lost his combat ability.

Even if the Superpower inside him had been affected by the "Deep Red Rose," his physical durability far surpassed the average Mid-Tier Powerhouse!

The Shark Warrior breathed heavily, eyes bloodshot as he glared at Wen Wen, rage pushing him to the brink of losing his reason.

Explosives! Another powerful bomb!

That red bomb just now, it must have been set up by this fellow too; to be brought to such a sorry state by someone of Mid-Tier was intolerable!

So the Shark Warrior’s body swelled once more, barreling towards Wen Wen with each step leaving a large pit in the ground, his afterimages filling Wen Wen’s field of vision.

Wen Wen could only retreat while shouldering a massive ammunition box and firing the Buddha Gatling at his opponent with a burst of dah-dah-dah.

By the time the metal case had lightened, with not many bullets left inside, the Shark Warrior was still full of vigor. Only after Wen Wen fired another Cloud Bomb did he finally quiet down.

"What the hell, he’s like a wild bull!"

Wen Wen said while looking at the Shark Warrior with lingering fear, thinking that if he hadn’t lost his sanity and insisted on a head-on confrontation, Wen Wen wouldn’t have subdued him so easily.

And if he had decided to flee, Wen Wen might not have been able to catch up.

But now it was all over, and he no longer had a chance of a comeback.

Wen Wen placed the Shark Warrior into the Sanctuary, cutting off all his chances of escape.

However, after being beaten to a pulp by Wen Wen and poisoned on top of that, the Shark Warrior was unlikely to be useful for a while.

...

In the city center, below the building where Salphore was located, a chaotic battle had already broken out.

Now, it was no longer a solo struggle between Fearful Butterfly and the Ferocious Beast; six of the original eight Hunters, except for Wen Wen and Hidden Thorn, were all here fighting against those Monsters.

Besides them, there were a few other Rangers, like Chu Wei, who had arrived later.

However, the Fishmen were also not to be trifled with, among them were several Middle Order Monsters, as well as more than ten Lower Rank Monsters. Even without Salphore taking action, they were a match for the Rangers in battle.

The extensive battle between the superpower users had already turned the vicinity into complete ruins; this place was undoubtedly the epicenter of the combat in Hua Shan City.

Initially, Salphore was quite content to watch the chaos unfold, planning to conserve his energy for Wu Wang.

But upon seeing that enchantingly huge flower, a strong sense of unease rose in Salphore’s heart, realizing that the land was far more dangerous than he had imagined.

He decided not to just watch anymore; he should end this battle sooner and capture Wu Wang as he was supposed to do.

Thus, he was enveloped by a stream of water that carried him to the battlefield.

The Rangers’ attention had been focused on Salphore. As soon as they saw him make a move, various attacks greeted him all at once.

Bullets, flames, green butterflies, and huge trucks thrown into the air — all sorts of bizarre attacks were directed at Salphore.

But Salphore just snorted lightly, and the surrounding water flow blocked all these things. The temperature around him suddenly increased as the water interacted with the attacks.

Then, with a wave of his hand towards the crowd, Salphore shot out several water arrows.

Fearful Butterfly gracefully dodged, while the Ferocious Beast took a blow with its right arm — a previously unscathed thick right hand was suddenly marked with a cut, and the fur seemed singed.

Chu Wei’s hand was directly dissolved by the water current, and he looked at Salphore in horror, screaming, "Damn, is this really water?"

"Water boils at 100 degrees and dark red magma is just five or six hundred degrees. Your water must be thousands of degrees; this is simply unscientific!"

Fearful Butterfly gave Chu Wei a strange look. Looking for science in the world of superpower users — he must be out of his mind.

And speaking of unscientific things, this guy’s Immortal Body is probably the real unscientific phenomenon...

After Salphore landed, the surrounding Monsters all scattered, looking at the Rangers with a sinister laugh — they were in trouble now.

Since he had personally taken action, they didn’t need to interfere. Getting caught in his attack would not be fun; the death of those killed by him was usually extremely gruesome, and they didn’t wish to be affected by his attacks.

Salphore glared with dead fish eyes and his fish lips opened and closed to say, "I don’t want to play anymore, so you stupid humans... go die."

Without any foreplay or warning, a tornado-like scorching water current rose from beneath his feet, and a large amount of steam emanated outward from him.

This steam transformed into a mist that enveloped the surroundings, and Salphore’s figure disappeared into the air — the mist was his best cover.

Unlike ordinary mist, the temperature here was so high that it could steam a person whole. The Rangers were like standing right next to an erupting volcano; just resisting that high temperature took a great deal of effort.

Not to mention stretching out their perception to search for Salphore’s whereabouts.

Salphore flickered in and out of sight within the mist, and his unlocatable voice came through, "This is Zeolite Martial Arts, a strength only the High-Rank Zeolite Race are qualified to possess. I will kill each of you one by one in this fog."

After he spoke, a scream resounded — it was the voice of a Lower Order Hunter who had been attacked by Salphore!

The Ferocious Beast realized that if they continued like this, they would be picked off one by one, so it roared, "Everyone gather around me, each of you cover a direction to prevent him from sneaking up on us!"
