Chapter 446: Chapter 444: Lure Monsters Plan

The monsters of Oye Water City had their utmost objective set on Wu Wang.

Therefore, to make a Disaster Upper Order monster come over in person, one had to convince them that Wu Wang was right here.

But Wu Wang had no idea where they were located, let alone how to lure them here.

After pondering briefly, Wen Wen’s eyes suddenly lit up. He didn’t know where the Upper Sequence Monsters of Oye Water City were, but those three sillies he caught did!

So Wen Wen started to smirk mischievously.

Since Wen Wen didn’t have time to cultivate an obedient monster, he needed to trick one into believing that it had really found traces of Wu Wang and then have it go and report to their leader.

The beauty of the plan was its realism; the other party probably wouldn’t be too alert.

Among those three sillies, the intelligence level from highest to lowest was the octopus, the sponge, and the starfish.

Using the starfish to carry out the plan was definitely not feasible because it was too dumb, and Wen Wen was worried that matters would spiral out of his control.

The octopus wouldn’t do either, as it had normal intelligence and had been lucid from start to finish. It might realize that being released was a trap.

Therefore, Wen Wen chose the yellow sponge.

Before the sponge could react, it was wrapped up in Wen Wen’s black hair and completely knocked out. It probably didn’t even understand what had happened.

After making a brief plan, Wen Wen’s body and face began to twist and contort, taking on the appearance of Wu Wang.

Faceless Demons have the ability to take on thousands of forms, allowing Wen Wen to become anyone he had seen before.

However, his imitation ability had solidified into that of a Corrupt Blood, so he could only mimic appearance, not abilities.

But appearance alone was sufficient. The sponge stood right in front of him and didn’t realize that it was actually facing an Assimilation Mid-Sequence superpower user...

After changing his appearance, Wen Wen placed the sponge at the street corner opposite the supermarket and left a mark of lightning energy on its navel. Then he positioned himself at the entrance of the supermarket and activated the rune.

A surge of electricity flashed, and the comatose sponge woke up instantly, rising to its feet with confusion, not quite understanding what had happened.

Suddenly, a loud noise came from a direction, and, out of curiosity, it looked towards the source to see someone exercising at the entrance of the supermarket.

There were large stone balls at the supermarket entrance to block vehicles; the person seemed to be juggling, tossing the stone balls into the air, then catching them with one hand, and passing them to the other...

The Sponge Monster noticed the person’s face and became excited all at once. This guy was the very Wu Wang they had been hunting!

Its eyes darting around, it was about to go and capture Wu Wang on the spot.

However, seeing Wen Wen tossing the stone balls effortlessly, it decided going forward would likely just end in failure, so it resolved to report this news to Lord Shark Warrior; surely, it would be rewarded.

As for where its companions had gone, why it had suddenly fainted, or how it came to wake up here, it had no inclination to ponder these points.

Being a sponge, it didn’t have much in the way of brains; complex thought was much too difficult for it.

Noticing its departure, Wen Wen immediately stopped tossing the stone balls. He had to admit that even with his strength, playing like this with the stone balls was somewhat strenuous.

But if he didn’t play this way, the idiot might just try to capture him instead of returning to report.

...

At that moment, atop a large building, Killing Pol and the Shark Warrior looked down from their high vantage point, admiring the battle below as if appreciating a landscape.

Below this building, Fearful Butterfly and the Ferocious Beast were engaged in battle with a vast army of sea monsters.

The butterflies of Fearful Butterfly were now struggling to achieve results. After sacrificing nearly twenty of their lives, the Fishmen had learned to cover their skin with energy, preventing themselves from coming into contact with that deadly scale powder.

Those little butterflies could only be used for harassment; only the scale powder that Fearful Butterfly himself could release was effective in harming the enemy.

The Ferocious Beast’s entire body was covered with silvery-white hair, resembling a giant gorilla, with his right arm twice as thick as his left, adorned with two metal rings engraved with complex runes. A mere swing of his arm could send a Sea Monster flying.

Just as his codename ’Ferocious Beast’ implied, his Assimilation State was that of a powerful beast that could fight on continuously without ever tiring!

Lesser monsters were no match for the two of them, but their expressions remained grave.

The miscellaneous Sea Monsters were easy to handle, but the two Upper Sequence Monsters on the roof above exerted immense pressure on them.

The only reason they were still alive was that those two monsters enjoyed watching their struggle. If those two monsters got serious, the group of monsters could tear them apart at any moment.

Dissatisfied that his subordinates had not yet taken down those two humans, Salphore glanced aside, and a red fat crab wearing a suit leaped down from the rooftop.

One of its large pincers smashed down on the Ferocious Beast’s right hand, halting his previously unstoppable attacks. The Ferocious Beast’s face changed dramatically as the crab proved to be stronger than him in terms of strength.

Fearful Butterfly grew increasingly anxious in his heart. If reinforcements didn’t arrive soon, they were done for.

This red crab was very strong. Although it was also a Disaster Intermediate Sequence Monster, Ferocious Beast and Fearful Butterfly estimated that they would need to join forces to take it down.

However, a glance between the two was enough to convey their plan – to hold off the monster for as long as they could.

Because they guessed that once they killed this monster, the Middle Order Monster lurking behind the scenes would likely be unable to resist intervening, and that’s when their real danger would begin.

...

Just as the Shark Warrior was enjoying the battle below, a devilish Fish Monster behind him poked Shark Warrior and then gave him a meaningful look.

The Shark Warrior understood and found a random excuse to leave the rooftop.

"What’s wrong?"

"Boss Shark, our men have found Wu Wang; he’s inside the Xin Wanke Supermarket," the devilish Fish Monster respectfully said.

The Shark Warrior’s eyes lit up. Although Salphore led this capture mission, Shark Warrior didn’t mind stealing the spotlight. If he could capture Wu Wang and bring him back, he would surely be rewarded by Lord Ensook.

Perhaps he would become a Devout Chanter!

However, he wasn’t blinded by the news but called over the Sponge Monster that had brought the message and inquired in detail.

After listening, Shark Warrior sensed deceit. The other party probably hoped to lure him there, where there might be a trap.

Nevertheless, Shark Warrior decided to check it out. He had participated in many operations to capture Wu Wang and knew the guy had a lot of tricks up his sleeve.

But Wu Wang’s strength was not formidable and could even be considered weak.

No matter what he had prepared, it was doubtful it would be effective against a Disaster Upper Order powerhouse on his guard.
