Chapter 445: Chapter 443: Millipede Monstrosity Mother

Wen Wen’s fingertips emanated a trace of energy, ready to eliminate these three Water Monsters. With Chu Wei by his side, it wasn’t appropriate to take these three silly creatures back to the Sanctuary. Moreover, to the current Wen Wen, Disaster Level Monsters were no longer a rarity.

The killing intent faintly emanating from Wen Wen’s body frightened the cyan-hued octopus-headed Monster so much that it covered its mouth with two of its arms, while its companions were oblivious to the danger posed by this man.

At that moment, both Wen Wen and Chu Wei received messages on their Ranger Terminals, each getting a different command.

Wen Wen was ordered to go to the location reported by the Fearful Butterfly to eliminate the mother body of the Centipede Monster, while Chu Wei was tasked with going to support the Fearful Butterfly and the Ferocious Beast that were surrounded.

"Leave this place to me, go and provide support quickly," Wen Wen immediately said to Chu Wei.

Chu Wei nodded, ran towards the direction indicated by the command, leaving Wen Wen to face these three Disaster Level Monsters.

Wen Wen tilted his head, looking at these three mascot-like creatures with interest, now that Chu Wei was not around, he wanted to gladly take these guys in.

Such mascot-like monsters were indeed rare.

"I, Sponge Young Master, am the first genius of the Sponge Clan, you foolish human..."

Sponge was in the middle of proudly recounting his grandeur when tides of black hair bound it and then the concealed Black Chains pulled it into the Sanctuary.

The Fat Starfish tried to intervene, puffing up its rotund belly, and from the center of it, released a pure blue laser beam.

But this laser beam was blocked by Wen Wen’s right hand, and then with a casual point of his left hand at the Fat Starfish, the same laser beam struck it, knocking it out immediately.

Then Wen Wen shifted his gaze to the octopus, whose head had only a few sparse strands of hair, with dark purple energy twirling around his hand.

However, this octopus Monster, sensing Wen Wen’s impending action, raised all eight of its legs in surrender. It was not as mentally challenged as the octopus and Sponge.

"You do know the stakes, that will spare you some suffering."

Wen Wen chuckled lightly and then took this octopus into the Sanctuary as well.

He briefly reviewed the abilities of these three monsters. The Sponge Monster could make Wen Wen’s body as soft as a sponge, essentially immune to any blunt trauma below Disaster Level, with a highly flexible body.

The octopus could spew ink, and each of its eight arms could wield different weapons for attacking.

And when using the Fat Starfish’s ability, Wen Wen could emit laser beams from his belly button, which looked somewhat bizarre...

...

After a cursory review of their abilities, Wen Wen, alone, arrived at the suspected location of the mother body of the insects as speculated by the Fearful Butterfly.

It was a large chain supermarket called Xinwanke, fairly famous in Guangyue Province.

At the moment, the supermarket’s main doors and windows were locked with rolling shutters, making it impossible to see inside. Pressing his ear to the door, he could hear strange noises within.

Those were the sounds of countless tiny feet treading on the floor!

Wen Wen carefully pulled out the Blade of Contamination, slicing open a man-sized slit in one of the rolling shutters, then peered inside.

Though it was pitch dark, the place was bustling with activity, yet the items on the shelves were rapidly vanishing.

The vanished goods were primarily high-sugar foods such as sugar blocks, honey, and some snacks, which were continuously transported into the supermarket’s cold storage.

The creatures transporting these items were millipede monstrosities, about half a person tall and two to three meters long!

Although these creatures were enormous, they moved silently and eerily as they neatly arranged and transported the goods.

However, to Wen Wen, these millipedes were not a concern because they were merely large, not yet reaching Calamity Level, just frightening looking creatures.

But even such non-supernatural beings were not something ordinary people could easily handle; it would require well-trained Supporters or even an army to combat them.

Due to these large insects, a foul smell permeated the entire supermarket, a distinctive odor emanating from large insects that made Wen Wen cover his nose.

These mere millipedes alone were insufficient to prove that the millipede monster’s matriarch was here.

So Wen Wen placed his hand on the Custodian Badge, which allowed him to see dozens of meters around, and the badge emitted a clear warmth.

In this supermarket’s cold storage, there was a gigantic millipede, about five to six meters tall and over ten meters long, making even the enormous cold storage seem somewhat cramped.

Most eye-catching was its massive belly, resembling a huge spherical ball about seven to eight meters in diameter, its thin belly faintly trembling as if something was wriggling inside.

It was continuously eating, feasting on high-sugar items and corpses the millipedes had somehow procured.

"There’s no need for further verification, it definitely is the matriarch of these millipedes, and it looks about to breed again!"

However, Wen Wen did not rush out immediately, as the power of the millipede matriarch was beyond his expectation... Disaster Upper Order!

The warm sensation from the Custodian Badge was indeed emanating from this millipede matriarch.

But Wen Wen was highly doubtful whether he was a match for this millipede matriarch, as he was considered powerful among Mid-Tier Powerhouses, and that millipede matriarch, burdened by its enormous belly, would inevitably be restricted in its movements.

After hesitating for a long time, Wen Wen still did not dare to confront the creature by himself.

Besides its strength, there was another reason: this place gave Wen Wen a subtle sense of unease.

This unease was not derived from the immense millipede but from the location itself, as if something here could pose a threat to him.

This unease convinced Wen Wen that Wu Wang certainly had made arrangements here.

The exposure of this immense millipede was too simple, being found not long after arriving, and the supermarket was not particularly secret.

Therefore, Wu Wang might have left something here to protect this giant millipede, something that made Wen Wen feel uneasy!

But it was impossible to just give up on this insect. Waiting for it to breed a second time would only bring greater trouble to Hua Shan City.

Thus, Wen Wen needed to find a scapegoat to spring the trap for him.

This person couldn’t be from the Hunters Association, so he would have to find a victim among the silly folks from Oye Water City.

It would be ideal to bring in a Disaster Upper Order monster, which could relieve some pressure off Fearful Butterfly and also pit two Disaster Upper Order monsters against each other while he benefitted like a fisherman.

Having planned out his strategy, figuring out how to lure the monster from Oye Water City was a severe issue.
