Catastrophe Containment Facility -
Chapter 407 - 405: Display of Strength
Chapter 407: Chapter 405: Display of Strength
After dismantling an entire toilet on the first floor, Ben Bo’er and his companion emerged from the sewer, carelessly rinsing the filth off their bodies with a water pipe.
Bapoer roared furiously twice, ready to wreak havoc, only to find the corridor eerily quiet, with no sounds of people moving about.
Ben Bo’er sniffed the air slightly and frowned, "It seems like this place is empty, with at most two or three people."
"Did that human stand us up? I’m going to kill him!" Bapoer clenched his fist, seething with a murderous aura.
Ben Bo’er helplessly knocked on his head and said, "Don’t be impulsive. Let’s look around first. If we really can’t find anyone, then we can start killing. The liaison told us to keep a low profile."
The two searched briefly and found that the security company, which should have been heavily guarded, was now devoid of people, making Ben Bo’er slightly more vigilant.
But that caution was brief. Although Ben Bo’er didn’t know much about the world on land, he was aware that most humans there were incredibly weak. As long as they didn’t provoke the Demon Hunters, they could virtually do as they pleased.
Once the pair reached the second-floor hall, they finally saw living figures.
Their target for extortion, Feng Ruixing, was seated comfortably on a chair, drinking tea quietly, while in front of Feng Ruixing, a young man in a black combat suit with bright eyes was eagerly watching them with his fists ready.
Ben Bo’er smugly said to Bapoer, "Bapoer, humans are indeed cowards. We don’t even need to display our strength for them to surrender."
Bapoer naively echoed a few times, feeling somewhat bored without anyone to kill.
Seeing the two people, Ben Bo’er presumptuously assumed that Feng Ruixing had chosen to submit. According to his information, Feng Ruixing was just an ordinary businessman without the power to resist.
If they could secure a stable source of funds for their organization, the two of them could become official members, no longer having to return to the dreary Oye Water City, where they would listen to maddening nonsensical chattering all day.
However, he failed to realize that the two people in front of him were not ordinary at all. Feng Ruixing’s abilities were indistinguishable from an ordinary person’s until activated, and dreaming of finding any superpower trait in front of Heng An was just wishful thinking.
Additionally, they were not only facing Heng An and another person, but behind a one-way mirror, four Disaster Level monsters were intently watching this place while snacking and drinking.
With the slightest sign of trouble from them, the monsters would be ready to take them down.
"Since you want me to provide funds for you, you should at least tell me who you are," Feng Ruixing said, holding a teacup with an elegant posture.
Ben Bo’er arrogantly said, "That’s not for a lowly human like you to know."
"Tsk..." Feng Ruixing shook his head in refusal, "Well, I’m afraid I can’t comply with your wishes then. Although I earn money faster than the wind brings it, I can’t just give it away."
Ben Bo’er let out a cold laugh, saying to Bapoer, "It seems you won’t cry until you see the coffin, Bapoer. Show him our strength!"
After that, Bapoer took off his backpack, pulled out bricks one by one, stacking them up until they stood as tall as a person.
As everyone watched Bapoer seriously stacking bricks, the room fell silent.
Feng Ruixing and Heng An looked dumbfounded, not quite sure why he suddenly started building with bricks.
The four monsters, meanwhile, momentarily paused their eating, curious about what the two Fish Spirits were about to do.
And in Qingchuan City, Wen Wen’s expression turned quirky, probably guessing what was about to happen next.
Ben Bo’er pointed to the bricks and said, "These are top-quality blue bricks, each one harder than your bones. To us, however, these bricks are even more fragile than tofu dregs."
"Wow yah yah yah yah!"
He had just finished speaking when Bapoer let out a roar and slapped a towering stack of bricks, splitting the hard bricks instantly, and his palm struck straight into the ground!
"How about that, are you shocked by our power? If you dare to resist us, this will be your fate!"
Ben Bo’er proudly claimed that after coming to the surface world, he had watched a few films and was deeply influenced.
In one of the films, strength was demonstrated in exactly this way, and the other party had shocked everyone by merely splitting a few red bricks whereas his own brother had split green bricks as tall as a person—wouldn’t that be even more astonishing!
Feng Ruixing covered his face, and all of Heng An’s enthusiasm for battle had vanished; he felt that fighting against such morons was pointless.
Meanwhile, Tao Qingqing and a few other monsters were even happier, finding this more entertaining than watching movies, and it seemed like they didn’t need to lift a finger with these two buffoons around.
Feng Ruixing sighed. He deeply regretted getting big-headed and asking for help from Lord Black Cross for the sake of these two fools; would Black Cross think him insufficient for the job?
"Heng An, it’s your turn. Whether to stir-fry, deep-fry, boil, or eat these two fish as sashimi, it’s all up to you," he said.
Heng An retched, not wanting to eat these bizarre fish with a stench of excrement, but still he drew his dagger and approached the two, eager to battle real monsters for a long time.
Ben Bo’er sneered, "Bapoer, you can eat this human."
Since speaking nicely wasn’t getting through, it was time to let these two foolish humans witness their power.
Bapoer leaped several meters high from where he stood and chopped down at Heng An’s head with a karate chop, already imagining Heng An’s body shattering like those bricks.
But for some reason, the karate chop suddenly became weak and powerless mid-strike, and Heng An easily hopped to the side to avoid it.
Then Heng An slid his dagger upward along Bapoer’s arm, slicing through the tough fish skin as effortlessly as if it were tofu, and stinky fish blood spilled all over the ground.
After being slashed, Heng An wanted to press his attack, but Bapoer had already retreated quickly, staring at Heng An in terror, his egg-sized fish eyes nearly bulging out.
Once he got close to this guy, his own strength seemed to vanish completely, and fish scales strong enough to withstand deep-sea pressure became fragile as could be.
"Bapoer, don’t engage in close combat, attack him with water bullets!"
Bapoer took a deep breath, and a pale blue current formed inside his mouth; then he spat out a water droplet the size of a jujube at Heng An.
This droplet, called ’Water Bullet’, was immensely powerful, capable of penetrating rock.
The speed of the Water Bullet was comparable to a bullet, and caught off guard, Heng An couldn’t dodge in time; under Bapoer’s excited gaze, the droplet hit his forehead, drenching his face.
Drenched his face...
Bapoer watched Heng An in disbelief, was his forehead really harder than deep-sea rock?
"Why didn’t it pierce through, what is your head made of?"
Feng Ruixing tossed a towel over, and Heng An caught it, wiping off his face. Sniffing the stench from the towel, he bent forward and retched uncontrollably for a while before stopping.
After throwing up, Heng An looked up irately, glaring at Bapoer, "You imbecile, we now have a grudge!"
Bapoer touched his own lips, realizing the other party might be right—he indeed had fish lips...
