Chapter 318: Chapter 316 Punishment and Ideals

The slightly plump Supporter smiled and said to the lean Supporter, "I’ll take this girl home first. You keep an eye out for a while."

Their task was to prevent ordinary people from getting hurt nearby, so sending Bai Xiaomiao home wasn’t considered desertion.

After saying that, he carried Bai Xiaomiao towards the house she was pointing at.

Being carried, Bai Xiaomiao’s eyes were so red they seemed as if they were about to bleed, with her canine teeth slowly lengthening.

Having been confined for so long, she was finally going to taste Blood Nourishment!

If she could just get past that corner, she’d bite down. If she only ate one person, Wen Wen wouldn’t know, right?

...

Inside the Sanctuary, Wen Wen, who had been keeping track of Bai Xiaomiao’s actions through the chains, snorted coldly.

He could see all of Bai Xiaomiao’s actions through the chains, and if she ever broke the rules Wen Wen had set in advance, the chains would automatically alert Wen Wen and could even carry out punishment on their own.

"Even after such a long confinement, she still refuses to change her ways. It seems that in order to get these monsters to behave, education alone is insufficient; it needs to be reinforced with violence."

He clenched his right hand and yanked it backwards violently. The sound of chains colliding appeared out of nowhere, and several semi-transparent chains could be faintly seen in Wen Wen’s palm.

This time Wen Wen intended to teach Bai Xiaomiao a profound lesson, to make sure she dared not disobey his commands.

As Wen Wen pulled on the chains, black semi-transparent chains suddenly appeared around Bai Xiaomiao’s neck and limbs.

These chains tightly constricted her body, even sinking nearly two centimeters deep!

Bai Xiaomiao screamed miserably, her wails piercing like a fat pig about to be slaughtered. She struggled violently in the arms of the slightly plump Supporter, whose grip couldn’t contain her tremendous strength.

After falling to the ground, her limbs twisted in a bizarre manner, obviously enduring inhuman pain.

"I won’t do it again, please let me go. Spare me, I won’t ever dare again!"

While crying out in agony and begging for mercy, the pain that struck her soul was a hundred times more intense than when Wen Wen had first inserted the chains into her body. Even the roots of her skin and hair seemed to ooze blood and sweat.

Hearing Bai Xiaomiao’s heart-wrenching cries, the slightly plump Supporter was at a loss, and the lean Supporter also cast a disapproving glance at his companion.

"I gave you the chance to do the nice job of taking the little girl home, and you’re bullying her?"

The situation was extremely awkward, but after about ten seconds of shouting, Bai Xiaomiao quieted down.

Her pain had lasted only ten seconds, but it felt very long. At the same time, Wen Wen’s chilly voice came through her long ears.

"Carry out the task I have given you. Next time you dare to disobey, the duration will be doubled."

She shivered, refrained from eyeing the Supporter’s flesh and blood, and finally got up from the ground.

Seeing her rise, the slightly plump Supporter heaved a sigh of relief. If something happened to this little girl, he’d feel guilty.

"Uncle, I’m sorry, but I’m going to hit you now," she said.

The slightly plump Supporter looked at the little girl, who had just been screaming in pain, and asked in confusion, "Why...?"

Before he could finish, Bai Xiaomiao kicked him in the stomach, the severe pain bringing him to his knees, rendered immobile.

The lean Supporter wanted to come over and help, but Bai Xiaomiao stomped on the ground. She leapt like a fish jumping out of water, slamming into the Supporter’s head and knocking him out cold on the spot.

Two Supporters, caught off guard, were simply rendered powerless to fight, and then she jumped into Fairy Tale Town without any hesitation.

...

Jiao Xinlei sat in a chair, her body shackled with heavy fetters made of fine iron, seated at a dining table. A faceless maid fed her bite by bite.

"It’s been five days already, how much longer are you going to keep me here?"

"Soon, very soon, in another two days, this town will become what I’ve been wanting to see," said the man cloaked in black, his face obscured, sitting at the other end of the long dining table, resting his chin in his hands.

"You keep talking about the state you want to see, but what is it exactly?" Jiao Xinlei asked, frowning.

After observing for a few days, she noticed that the man across from her didn’t seem particularly agitated, and the Monsters in this town were surprisingly docile, completely unlike any she had encountered before.

The Monsters here appeared to be trying to establish some sort of order, rather than simply slaughtering humans.

Such large-scale cohabitation of Monsters and humans, without any sign of violent incidents, was almost inconceivable to Jiao Xinlei.

"The experiment has actually been half completed already, and I’m not afraid to tell you..."

The man’s eyes lit up, as bright as Heng An’s, and he said with a cheerful tone, "I want to create a world where Monsters and humans can live together in harmony!"

"That’s impossible!" Jiao Xinlei immediately rejected the idea.

"May I ask how old of a child you are... No, you’re even more childish than those still in diapers." Jiao Xinlei turned her head away to indicate she had had enough to eat.

The man’s ideas were pure fantasy, as humans and Monsters were inherently incompatible.

Living together in harmony?

It sounded like the naive words of an elementary school student, nothing but a pipe dream.

But looking into the man’s eyes, Jiao Xinlei could tell he was serious, so serious that he treated it as an ideal.

And his eyes held the look of someone with truly lofty ideals, ready to put them into action!

The man was not surprised by Jiao Xinlei’s reaction, knowing that anyone who heard his ideas would react the same, but he explained earnestly, "The struggle between humans and Monsters has gone on for thousands of years, unseen by ordinary people, and it has never stopped."

"Don’t you think this never-ending slaughter is a foolish act?"

"Whether Monsters or humans, both are creatures of intelligence. Since they have intelligence, then communication is possible!"

Jiao Xinlei scoffed, "Slaughter is a Monster’s instinct. Even if they can communicate, Monsters’ ultimate goal will always revolve around killing and enslaving humans."

The man countered, "Have you seen any Monsters harming others in this town?"

"It’s just that I haven’t seen it. In the dark corners out of my sight, killings must be happening."

Jiao Xinlei said with certainty as before being captured by this man, she had glimpsed the town’s future. Without external intervention, death was the destiny for all creatures there.

The man fell silent for a moment. Having seen the ’Princess’ kill someone with ease, he had no confidence to argue with Jiao Xinlei.

So, he could only give a bitter chuckle. Everyone who had heard of his ’ideal,’ whether Monster or human, had scorned it.

But he had to make this happen; if he failed, he would have no place in this world until his death!
