Chapter 239: Chapter 237: Subduing the Oxygen-Absorbing Sheep

A full bottle of liquid oxygen would need at least ten minutes to totally evaporate, and those ten minutes were more than enough time for Wen Wen to deal with the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao.

He took a deep breath from the bottlemouth, inhaling enough oxygen to suffice; any ordinary person doing this would likely succumb to oxygen poisoning, but for Wen Wen, this posed no problem at all.

Then, with a light tap of his toes, Wen Wen sprang to the demon’s side and swung his palm fan-sized hand, slapping the Sheep Demon Yao’s face and sending it flying a few meters away.

But the Sheep Demon Yao was no human, instead a ferocious monster; although its sheep-like face swelled from the hit, it was nothing more than swelling.

This did not affect the Sheep Demon Yao’s combat strength, at most it felt a bit dizzy and disoriented.

As the Sheep Demon Yao landed on the ground, its mung bean-sized eyes struggled to open wide to express its anger.

However, its eyes could never match the size of Wen Wen’s.

Nevertheless, the Sheep Demon Yao had already recognized the huge gap between itself and Wen Wen, hence it didn’t attempt to engage Wen Wen in close combat again.

Its forte was absorbing the oxygen in the vicinity, which had no effect on Wen Wen because it could only absorb oxygen from the air, not directly from liquid oxygen.

By the time Wen Wen’s bottle of liquid oxygen ran out, the Sheep Demon Yao would have long been dealt with, but the Sheep Demon Yao had other tricks up its sleeve.

It took out a small, elongated stone from its bosom and struck it fiercely against its horn, igniting the stone with an orange flame; this flame was its trump card.

Being an Oxygen-Sucking Sheep Demon Yao, it needed just one breath to drain all the oxygen from a space.

So where did all that oxygen go?

All stored within its body!

It held the burning stone near its mouth and blew violently in Wen Wen’s direction, a massive amount of oxygen bursting forth like a tempest from its mouth.

The oxygen, passing through that thread of orange flame, immediately formed a massive pillar of fire that shot towards Wen Wen, covering the entire corridor and leaving him no escape.

The orange flame, already not an ordinary flame, was now enhanced by the vast helping of oxygen, making its temperature hot enough to melt gold and iron.

The Sheep Demon Yao let out a cold sneer, so what if this odd man was stronger than itself? In battles among superpower users, there was never a rule that the stronger always win!

Under certain conditions, the weaker could defeat the stronger!

Seeing the fire coming towards him, Wen Wen was startled and quickly retracted his ’Hundred Flavors Cup.’

Then the Philosophical Aura exploded forth, resisting the flames.

Wen Wen did not know how much oxygen the Sheep Demon Yao had stored, but he didn’t need to tough it out against the flames since, although the Sheep Demon Yao could release a potent fire, it did not possess Fire Control Ability.

He tapped his hand lightly twice, switching his Acid Spray Ability to the Arsonist Ghost’s Fire Control Ability, and with a wave of his hand, the flames were diverted away from him.

"This move might work against other superpower users, but against me... hehehe."

Wen Wen laughed and pointed toward the direction of the Sheep Demon Yao; the flames instantly turned traitor, attacking the Sheep Demon Yao instead.

Even though the Sheep Demon Yao stopped the oxygen supply immediately, which considerably weakened the flames, it still got a face full of fire.

Its clothes were burned away, and the air filled with the odd smell of singed hair, and amidst those strange smells, there was a faint hint of the aroma of roasted lamb.

Though it was still capable of fighting, the Sheep Demon Yao felt a sense of despair against Wen Wen.

It only fought with Wen Wen for a few minutes, and Wen Wen had already demonstrated several abilities. Just how many kinds of Supernatural Power did this pervert of a man have?

And facing such a badass, even if it went all out, it wouldn’t stand a chance!

Wen Wen adjusted the mask on his head and said, "I’ve had enough fun, I understand your strength now. Your ability is quite interesting, so I won’t kill you."

"Not kill me..." The Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao’s face lit up with joy. It would be willing to do anything if it could just save its life.

But before the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao could enjoy the moment, Wen Wen’s Philosophical Aura exploded in full force, easily suppressing it.

Then, like a tiger descending from the mountains, he charged at the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao, grabbing its long horns with both hands, and slamming a knee into its sheep head.

Both horns snapped off at the sound, and the Oxygen-Sucking Sheep Demon Yao passed out completely. Wen Wen had used a lot of force with that knee; it might have given the creature a concussion.

"I said I wouldn’t kill you," Wen Wen said, "but I never said I would let you go."

Wen Wen had no tender feelings toward such a Monster as the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao, knocking it out before throwing it directly into the Sanctuary.

This Monster possessed Disaster Level strength, and its abilities to absorb and release oxygen both greatly intrigued Wen Wen.

The ability to release oxygen combined with the Arsonist Ghost’s Fire Control Ability should be able to produce fairly powerful flames, while the ability to absorb oxygen could counter some superpower users with Flame Attribute.

After the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao was locked up in the Sanctuary, a slim, strip-shaped stone fell from its body—it was what it had used to start fires before.

Wen Wen picked up the stone and rubbed it gently against a rough surface, and flames burst forth.

"Without this thing, the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao can’t start fires, but it doesn’t seem very useful to me... Still, this thing is much cooler than a lighter," he mused.

So, Wen Wen pocketed it anyway. Now he had a mouthpiece he could change at will, and a cool lighter besides. In the future, he might just play the role of a flashy Smoking Ghost.

After dealing with the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao, Wen Wen turned to look at the ordinary people who had experienced a narrow escape from death.

The Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao’s intention to kill these people suggested that their deaths were more advantageous for Profane Blood than their lives.

Therefore, Wen Wen wanted them to live!

After glancing for a few moments, Wen Wen’s eyes settled on Liu Yankai amid the crowd.

As an outstanding detective, Wen Wen could often pick out the highest-status person in a crowd at a glance.

Alright, the other people were wearing uniforms, while Liu Yankai was the only one in a suit and leather shoes...

"Come here, you there, yes, you. What do all of you do?" Wen Wen called Liu Yankai over.

Liu Yankai walked timidly over to Wen Wen. Although Wen Wen had rescued them, who knew whether the earlier fight had just been in-fighting among the Monsters.

But he quickly adjusted his attitude. Having survived among a group of Monsters for this long, he wouldn’t have lived if he hadn’t learned to speak to people as a person and to demons as a demon.

He approached Wen Wen with a beaming face and said, "My lord, we are just ordinary people who were kidnapped by those Monsters. We’ve been threatened by them and used as their slaves... Now that you’ve come, we can finally be rescued!"

Even if Wen Wen was a Pervert, he shouldn’t just turn on people thanking him, right?

Wen Wen sneered. He didn’t believe one bit of Liu Yankai’s bullshit. If they truly were just worthless ordinary people, the Oxygen-absorbing Sheep Demon Yao wouldn’t have bothered trying to kill them specifically.
