Catastrophe Containment Facility
Chapter 154 - 152: Set a Trap

Chapter 154: Chapter 152: Set a Trap

Throughout the entire operation, the most important factor wasn’t Wen Wen or the suddenly promoted Gong Baoding, but Zhu Qipei.

If Yan Biqing couldn’t be stopped from escaping, then everything would be meaningless.

The price Wen Wen paid to hire Zhu Qipei was five different styles of Pig Head Dolls: black pig, white pig, milk-flowered pig, wild pig, and fragrant pig.

Anyway, Wen Wen wasn’t responsible for making them; he just needed Xu Hai to take action. The leftover materials from the production could also be used to feed the Scavenging Demon.

Zhu Qipei’s strength was formidable, at least at the Disaster Level.

However, he didn’t have Zhu Qipei confront Yan Biqing directly but assigned him the most crucial task of stopping Gao Fang.

Because confronting Yan Biqing directly would make it easy for him to escape, and since the Hunters Association knew of Wen Wen’s close relationship with Zhu Qipei, his appearance could easily lead others to think of Wen Wen.

Beside the first roundup, Zhu Qipei had always been merely observing until the last time when he was confident enough to intercept Gao Fang.

That’s how Zhu Qipei managed, and if it were anyone else, they wouldn’t be able to stop Gao Fang at all.

...

Wen Wen waited for about over an hour before Gong Baoding finally left with Ding Mingguang, by which time the supporters had already surrounded the area.

However, the supporters alone couldn’t stop Wen Wen. He immediately turned into a ghost and quietly left the encirclement.

Meanwhile, at the Kewei Building.

Lin Zheyuan stood with the Demon Hunters on the rooftop of the building, the confusion evident on his face.

"There’s nothing here, the will and energy residues are so negligible they can almost be ignored. So, what was the purpose of that aura just now?"

Lin Lu asked weakly, "Could it be a decoy to lure us away from helping Yan Biqing?"

Lin Zheyuan rolled his eyes, "You little confused egg, a Catastrophe-Level being isn’t like the uncle who sells stinky tofu. If such a being wanted to help Yan Biqing, wouldn’t it be easier to just kill us?"

Lin Lu scratched her head. She liked eating stinky tofu but had been sneaking around to maintain her ladylike image, not expecting her brother to find out.

"Perhaps, this Catastrophe-Level expert is just that unpretentious..."

"Lulu, one must have reverence for Catastrophe-Level experts. What you said is like saying a top gourmet likes to eat fresh large intestine sashimi, which is impossible," her brother argued.

You Han patted Lin Lu’s shoulder, saying, "The actions of such powerful beings have their profound meanings, and though we might not understand them, we shouldn’t make wild guesses."

After a moment of silence, Yan Xiu suddenly stated, "It’s a show of power!"

"How so?" Lin Zheyuan asked in surprise.

Yan Xiu adjusted his mask, which displayed a symbol of a light bulb, "After eliminating all impossibilities, the remaining must be the closest to the truth."

"He’s showcasing his power to other existences within Furong River City, so I infer there might be other threats in the city that surpass the general Disaster Level!"

Although Yan Xiu’s reasoning process was all wrong, his conclusion incidentally unveiled the true situation in Furong River City.

Lin Zheyuan looked up, sighed, and said, "A show of power, huh... Furong River City is already chaotic enough, it truly is a troublesome autumn..."

...

Wen Wen found an alley, parked his car at the entrance, and waited for Gao Fang’s arrival.

Not long after, a somewhat disheveled Gao Fang emerged from a corner.

Wen Wen mercilessly taunted, "How did you end up in such a disheveled state, looking as though you were mauled by several tanks?"

Gao Fang glared at Wen Wen and then tossed him a pink cup.

This cup was the prize agreed upon before the game, the Hundred Flavors Cup.

"You won this game, but don’t be too happy just yet. I’ll be coming for you again when Furong River City isn’t so dangerous..."

Gao Fang sneered, and Wen Wen, watching his own face express such emotion, felt it quite peculiar.

"I hope you won’t come again."

"That’s impossible, you’ve already caught my eye." Gao Fang shook his head and stared wide-eyed at Wen Wen with a somewhat paranoid look.

Wen Wen’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he said to Gao Fang, "You’re after the darkness within me. I can show it to you, but after seeing it, you mustn’t disturb me again."

"You’re ready to show me?" Gao Fang said excitedly.

Wen Wen nodded, "Yes, compared to having you constantly knocking on my door, it’s better to let you see clearly."

"Then what you show me had better be interesting."

Gao Fang readily agreed, but he could always go back on his word when it wasn’t part of the game.

Although Wen Wen was suppressing his true nature, he was actually a person much like him; how could such an interesting guy only play one game with him?

"Then, let me show you!"

Black chains spread out from the palm of Wen Wen’s hand, instantly giving his aura a sinister and terrifying shift.

"If you want to see, I need to use these chains to pull you into my body. If you’re afraid, then forget it."

"Afraid?"

Gao Fang willingly walked into the midst of Wen Wen’s chains, looking at Wen Wen with anticipation.

He wasn’t worried about Wen Wen pulling any tricks. He was just a puppet, and after his death, all his memories would revert back to the original body; even if Wen Wen killed him, it wouldn’t matter much.

All that mattered was letting the original body see what it wanted.

Moreover, what did death matter anyway?

For him, pursuing pleasure was the priority, life only came second.

His reaction was within Wen Wen’s expectations. Like this lunatic, as long as he could acquire what he desired, he wouldn’t care about minor details.

The chains bound him and with an even more eager expression on his face, Gao Fang’s twisted look made Wen Wen feel like he was seeing an out-of-control version of himself. He resolved never to let himself completely lose control.

"Yes, keep going, I really like this aura!"

The chains dragged him into the sanctuary, but not into a cell, rather into a black Energy Sphere with a diameter of five meters.

"So this is the darkness inside your body? Indeed, it’s very dark," Gao Fang said in surprise.

He thought he had seen the answer, but did not realize that the Energy Sphere was created by Wen Wen specifically to deceive him.

Apart from this Energy Sphere, Wen Wen would not let him see anything else about the Catastrophe Containment Facility!

Once inside the Catastrophe Containment Facility, Gao Fang could only be manipulated by Wen Wen without any capacity for resistance.

Wen Wen, in his Catastrophe Prison Warden state, appeared behind Gao Fang, placing a hand on his head, and began to trace the connection to search for the original body.

And Gao Fang didn’t even notice; he was just enjoying the energy filled with the aura of catastrophe.

There was no distance limit between Gao Fang’s original body and his clone; the clone could go as far as it wanted without his direct control.

This was an advantage, but it also meant that his original body could not know what the clone was experiencing, thus unable to stop Wen Wen’s actions.

"I’ve made the connection, and now... you shall receive the baptism!"
