Chapter 153: Chapter 151 Of course, forgive him
Yan Biqing furrowed his brow, realizing that things were not so simple.
Only now did he notice that although it was emitting a signal like a walkie-talkie, it wasn’t a walkie-talkie at all, but a microcomputer!
And he could not escape using a walkie-talkie’s signal from a computer!
The barren forest and the water well had been artificially created— a spiritual space within the microcomputer!
Arriving here in a blind panic had been a misstep.
However, he didn’t choose to leave immediately, thinking Gong Baoding might still be waiting outside, and without finding communication equipment upon leaving, he would truly meet his end!
To hide well here, he needed to find the owner of this space and take control of him; he could neither kill him nor let him find an opportunity to kill himself.
At the moment, he was too vulnerable, too easily giving others an opportunity to take advantage of him.
In the entire space, what drew the most attention was the ancient-looking dried well.
That was where the strength in this space was most concentrated, likely where the superpower user who created this space was hiding, waiting for an opportunity to ambush him.
Yan Biqing bent down to pick up a small stone, feigning extreme relaxation as he walked towards the well and peered down into its depths.
Then, countless streams of water surged into the air, like numerous ropes racing towards his limbs, attempting to bind him.
Yan Biqing’s lips curved into a smile; did they seriously think such a simple ambush would capture him?
Keep dreaming!
The green data flow flickered across his hand, and he threw a punch directly downwards, dispersing the water streams instantly.
He then gathered his strength and threw all the small stones in his hand into the well.
Each stone’s power was no less than that of an ordinary bullet. If that person was in the well, they would definitely be hit by these stones!
But to Yan Biqing’s surprise, the stones hit the bottom of the well without obstruction, touching nothing at all!
"There’s a trick!"
Having realized the problem, he swiftly retreated, jumping to a spot more than ten meters away from the dried well.
"No, that’s not right... The sensation of retreating just now wasn’t quite right. I didn’t mean to jump here... This is still the ability of that Fierce Spirit-like superpower user!"
He had been affected by Ghost Hitting Wall!
Just as Yan Biqing realized something was amiss, a hand reached out from the earth and seized his ankle!
The red nails tore through his skin, and blood flowed non-stop!
Yan Biqing huffed coldly, leaping on the spot, pulling the shadow beneath him out of the ground, and then delivered a kick to the person’s chest, sending them flying ten or more meters away.
The person beneath him was none other than Wen Wen, who spat out blood from the kick. In this space created with Ghost powers, he had lost the ability to evade physical attacks.
"The setup is really elaborate, but with insufficient strength, what can you do?" Yan Biqing said disdainfully.
Wen Wen stood up from the ground and, while looking at Yan Biqing, said with a smile, "Heh heh, do you know, when I wasn’t a superpower user, I managed to catch a vampire using a trap."
"I am different from a vampire."
Yan Biqing spoke coldly, in no hurry to kill Wen Wen because he needed to use this space to avoid Gong Baoding.
"But I have also changed," Wen Wen said with a smile.
"I’m not interested in whether you’ve changed or not, I have a question I want to ask you."
"Ask away, I’m all ears."
Wen Wen chuckled, feeling confident of victory, but since Yan Biqing wanted to talk, he was open to a conversation.
Yan Biqing frowned and said, "The choice to listen is mine to make! If one day, you awake from chaos to find a filthy being using your strength daily for their own ends, what would you do?"
A jolt ran through Wen Wen—could this person be referring to the Catastrophe Containment Facility?
No, he must be talking about himself, borrowing power... Could this be how superpower users wield their abilities?
Then he spoke up, "Of course, I would choose to forgive him!"
He benefited every day from using the strength of the monsters within the Sanctuary, so naturally, he wouldn’t badmouth his actions.
Yan Biqing glanced at Wen Wen. He hadn’t expected an answer and was just talking to himself.
"That’s nothing. Yet, shamelessly, he believes that strength is his own, while you are the demon attempting to steal the power and aims to destroy you, to crush your will to resist and take over your strength! What then?"
"Still, I would forgive him," Wen Wen said, blinking.
Yan Biqing sighed and said, "You really are not a good listener. So next, you better choose to surrender, or else..."
"Pfft..." Wen Wen couldn’t help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Yan Biqing asked with a frown, although he no longer had eyebrows...
"Sorry, I just couldn’t help it. You seem to believe you can easily take me down, but in fact, the fight was over a while ago."
Then Wen Wen pointed at Yan Biqing and snapped his fingers, saying, "You’re poisoned, and it is a deadly one at that!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than Yan Biqing spat out a mouthful of foul-smelling blood, unable to utter a word while staring at Wen Wen.
His blood churned rebelliously throughout his body!
His blood was furiously changing in nature, forcing him to use all his strength to fight the fierce poison inside him, leaving no room to argue with Wen Wen.
"This ability is called Blood Poison, a venom of the blood. The moment I cut your ankle, you were poisoned, only I hadn’t triggered it until now."
"Had you been at full strength, even with this poison, you would have easily suppressed it, but your current state clearly won’t allow it."
"However, in about an hour, or maybe even less, you should recover enough to be able to kill me... but do you think I will give you that time?"
Wen Wen stood before Yan Biqing, the black Catastrophe Gloves emerged, radiating and winding around his body.
"What is this thing?"
Yan Biqing exclaimed in shock. His memories stemmed from the real Yan Biqing, yet the sensation brought by these chains felt very peculiar.
"I can’t say exactly what it is, but you hate having your strength drawn out, don’t you? Well, I’m sorry to say, you are going to live that way from now on."
Having said that, he dragged Yan Biqing into the Sanctuary.
’The first Disaster Level monster has been contained, imprisoned in Disaster-0001 cell, Disaster Area access still pending, stay tuned...’
"So you’re saying, even though I’ve captured him, I cannot use his strength," he mused.
"No matter, it will become usable... as soon as we unlock the Disaster Area!"
After capturing Yan Biqing, Wen Wen took a brief rest and did not go out.
The rat was his eyes—he would keep watch from the outside and wait for Gong Baoding and Ding Mingguang to leave before going out.
Having Ding Mingguang outside, though likely not a big issue if seen, still constituted an inconvenience.
