Chapter 1529: Chapter 735 Director Ou’s Major Development
"Slow down, don’t damage the photos." Heizi was leading the work and still instructing others.
"Relax, we know what we’re doing, how could we not be careful?" Old Ou said as he hugged a frame and jumped down from the table. "I’ve always felt something was missing in these photos, lucky we found out now, or who knows how much longer they would’ve hung like this!"
They were in the conference room taking down photos from the wall. These photos were group shots of people from the site and leaders who had visited. The ones like Yan Fei rushing back yesterday afternoon to take additional photos for the Environmental Protection award were just ordinary. The highest-ranking leader in the photos was Assistant Meng from the Capital. The others were leaders from the provincial, city, and county level; some were of Yan Fei receiving awards, and a few where Heizi went to receive them on his behalf.
Now, in such a large conference room, one wall is almost unable to hold all the various certificates and photos; soon they will have to start using another wall.
Certificates are fine, they have dates and issuing authorities. But the photos are different, they are just developed, framed, and hung up without any detailed explanation; apart from the insiders, others really don’t know who is who in the photos.
The problem is the gang led by Heizi aren’t that professional in managing a business, they think of the big picture, but small details often go unnoticed. This was pointed out by someone from the Environmental Protection Bureau during a dinner yesterday.
Heizi wanted to take down the photos right then, but got busy in the afternoon and didn’t manage to, so they started early this morning.
Once all the photos were taken down, Old Ou looked at the pile and remarked, "For such a small enterprise like ours, we’re already so busy, if it were a major listed company like those sausage producers, imagine how busy they’d be!"
Heizi grimaced: "They hire professionals; unlike Brother Fei who relies on us."
"That’s true, that’s true." Old Ou quickly brown-nosed. "It’s all thanks to Brother Fei for being thoughtful, otherwise, we would have been sidelined a long time ago. In big companies like theirs, we’d probably just be small-time workers, and they’d still complain about our education."
"Hell, I don’t believe there aren’t low-educated folks in listed companies... we at least finished middle school." Xiaosong was a bit indignant.
"How did we get those diplomas, you know very well yourself, don’t you?" Li Fang blurted out with a chuckle. "If it wasn’t for joining the site and Brother Fei forcing us to learn something, would you dare to say you’ve been educated?"
Everyone burst into laughter. The middle school diploma was given once you enrolled and had a record, no matter how few days you attended. Some didn’t even finish the first year of junior high and still shamelessly collected their diplomas at the end; once the diploma was in hand, they were considered middle school graduates, and no one really checked the authenticity of that diploma against an actual middle school exam paper.
"Alright, alright, go about your business!" Heizi waved them off to get back to their tasks. "I’ll call the photo studio; we need to develop these photos again, make them look nicer, add some bronzed big characters and write some explanatory text underneath."
Everyone left except Old ou: "Heizi, are you really letting me take charge of the fertilizer plant? Wouldn’t your brother be better? I think he is much more competent. Managing the fleet under your guidance is fine, but being on my own makes me nervous!"
"What are you afraid of!" Heizi looked impatient. "Brother Fei gave me a lot to handle, and he didn’t object when I picked you; that’s approval enough! My brother hasn’t been here long enough; if not you, then who? Hurry up, stop your nattering. Solve problems by yourself, and if you can’t, then come to me."
The newly appointed Director Ou walked out feeling very gloomy, mumbling as he went, "This is too fast a promotion! If I mess up don’t blame me, being put in charge of a factory without knowing anything..."
Waiting at the door, Xiaosong laughed heartily, "Ou Brother, no, should be Director Ou now. Don’t be ungrateful, if you didn’t move up, how could I become the fleet captain! Hahaha..."
Li Fang rolled his eyes at the side: "Fine, let you be a little leader, just don’t mess up the fleet. In my opinion, the three of us were just fine before, not sure what Brother Heizi was thinking, letting you be the fleet captain!"
Chang Liang humbly chuckled beside them, "Don’t say that, Brother Heizi has his reasons for the arrangements, I know whether I can handle it..."
While the group teased each other, Yan Fei had already wolfed down a few mouthfuls of food and wandered over to the entrance of River Heart Island, phoning Heizi, "What are you busy with? Bring two guys over to greet the guests, looks like there’s business to discuss, this will be your job from now on!"
Heizi, after finishing the call inside, didn’t stick around, rushing out to call on those nearby, "Old Chang, Old Li, come with me, Brother Fei has summoned us, said there’s business to discuss...
