Chapter 1389: Chapter 676: Miner, The Belated Call
"Boss Yan doesn’t seem like the young people of his age. At such a young age, he knows how to stay under the radar. His prospects are truly boundless!" Watching the black Mercedes Benz slowly drive away under the lights below, a middle-aged man standing beside Director Nan said.
"Oh? Is that what you think?" Director Nan, reminded of something, chuckled. "If he hears your conclusion, Secretary Yang, I bet he’ll send over a couple of jars of good wine to you! You’ve just arrived so you probably don’t know, but Boss Yan is not only famous for his cattle, his reputation for wine and temper isn’t any less known than that of his cattle."
"I couldn’t tell," Secretary Yang revealed a smile of realization. "Well, it’s normal for young people to be spirited."
"Haha, Old Yang, you should get to know more about him when you have time. Boss Yan, he’s more than just high-spirited, haha... Alright, let’s stop talking about him and get on with the pressing matters!"
"Alright!" Secretary Yang nodded. "What about those involved in the fight? What’s your plan?"
"What else can we do?" Director Nan replied. "It was just a bunch of kids causing trouble after a few drinks. A little education, wait for their parents to come and then send them home should be fine. As for damaging private property, just make them pay."
"What about Boss Zeng? He might not be that easy to persuade. Do we need to coordinate more on this?" Secretary Yang asked again.
"We’ve sent out the notices that had to be sent. As for whether he wants to play it horizontally or vertically, that’s beyond our control. If he does decide to stand firm against Boss Yan, it will be a good opportunity for you to see how Boss Yan operates discreetly," Director Nan said with a smile that had a hint of schadenfreude.
"Some people, relying on their ancestral glory, think they can act with impunity. It’s time they learned that such glory is not omnipotent. Alright, let’s not talk about these useless matters. The pressing issue is what’s important. Regarding our further capture plan, I think we need to make a few slight changes..."
On the dark road, the black Mercedes Benz was swinging two beams of light, heading straight for Sancha River Township. Inside the car, Yan Fei said to Heizi, "After the Yellow Cattle Festival is over, get ready. Our plan to buy saplings can proceed. Just like I said before, keep it low-key, take it slow."
Heizi nodded, "Don’t worry, I know."
"Mm!" Yan Fei hummed in response and took out his phone. "I need to call and ask where to get this car door fixed. Things have not gone smoothly since I left the house today, and now the car’s damaged."
"Hehe!" Upon hearing Yan Fei’s remarks, Heizi chuckled. "Doesn’t matter, someone will compensate. No idea how much the repair will cost, probably a few thousand at least?"
"It’s hard to say," Yan Fei said, shaking his head as he dialed. "Not many people drive this car, who knows how troublesome the repairs could be. Anyway, whatever it costs, it costs; can’t help that we don’t know how to fix it ourselves!"
The call connected, and Yan Fei spoke up, "Senior Brother Wang, what are you busy with? No dinner party tonight?"
On the other end, Wang Jiuming laughed, "How could I drink every day? Health comes first. I was actually about to have a glass of your wine before bed! What’s up, Xiao Fei, calling at this hour, you must have something?"
"Don’t even mention it!" Yan Fei couldn’t hide his annoyance. "We’re having the Yellow Cattle Festival here, went out to dinner, and a few who drank too much started a fight, scraped a big patch off my car door’s paint. Now I’m just calling to ask where to get it fixed."
"Who got into the fight? Can’t they see it’s a Mercedes Benz?" Wang Jiuming sneered. "Well, the fight was worth it. Repainting that car door will probably cost at least ten to twenty thousand."
"Who cares how much it is, whoever caused the damage will pay for it!" Yan Fei urged, "Hurry and tell me where to get it fixed."
"You drive to Provincial City so often and still don’t know where to go for repairs? Don’t you always take North Ring Road when you come to Provincial City? The car’s service center is right at the North Ring Road intersection, not far from where you live," Wang Jiuming said with a chuckle. "You sure just care about driving. Having had the car this long, have you not even done any maintenance?"
"Who cares about that? As long as it runs fine, it’s all good." Yan Fei spoke while recalling. "Now that you mention it, I think I remember, is it at the northwest corner of that intersection, with a row of two-story houses? I seem to recall that place sells cars and there’s my car’s logo above it."
"That’s the one!" Wang Jiuming laughed. "I have a friend who knows the owner there. When you go, just let me know, and I’ll get my friend to say hello, so they don’t cheat their own people."
Yan Fei was surprised, "They sell these cars and it’s a big business, right? They still deceive people?"
"Haha!" Wang Jiuming sounded even happier. "Big business, big money to scam! Like for paintwork, where they could fix a small spot, they ask you to redo the whole door, if it’s the door that needs fixing they suggest repainting the whole car, come across a minor issue and they insist on changing parts when it could be repaired, after all, you don’t understand. Even if you think of going somewhere else, they aren’t scared; the average person dares not to take on your job, so you end up having to go there."
"That makes sense," Yan Fei understood upon hearing this. Nowadays, if you have a car worth over a million and take it to a roadside repair shop, the careful mechanics wouldn’t dare to touch it; if they cause an issue, they couldn’t afford the consequences!
After a bit of casual conversation and hanging up the phone, Heizi couldn’t help but ask, "Brother Fei, why don’t you let others talk about this big event you pulled off? Wouldn’t our place also gain fame if your name gets bigger?"
