Chapter 1004: Chapter 533 Not Much Fun_3
Seeing Yan Fei smile as if there were some inexplicable meaning in it, Chen He got a bit miffed and insisted on pestering Yan Fei with questions.
Yan Fei had no choice but to educate them on some common knowledge.
Then Chen He felt somewhat disoriented, "Are you saying that the reason I think they look listless and non-threatening is because they think we aren’t a threat to them, so they don’t show us any hostility?"
Yan Fei nodded, "Try approaching them with a big knife, and they’ll perk up."
Chen He and a few young people were speechless, realizing that they had all been looked down upon by a few old tigers!
But then again, it made sense. To the tigers, they posed no threat, unarmed as they were.
As a few of them chatted idly, Yan Fei’s phone finally rang. He answered and heard that displeased voice, "Boss Yan, we’re here! We’ve passed the Car and Horse Store, aren’t we close to you now? Are you ready?"
By now, Yan Fei was quite unruffled on hearing the voice, since they were coming to both bring money and deliver dog meat. It was within his tolerance that they were not polite, "The pot is ready, and we have wine and side dishes too. Hurry up and get here!"
Now that voice wasn’t just displeased, but exasperated, "Alright, alright, you just wait. We brought not only chopsticks but also knives and forks, let’s see whether it’s going to be dog meat or tiger meat..."
Yan Fei chuckled, no longer wasting words, "Okay! Hurry over. When you’re about to reach Sancha River, there’s a big bridge. I’ll have someone wait for you at the bridgehead to bring you over."
Without waiting for a response, he hung up and called someone on the field to go and wait at the bridgehead in twenty minutes.
Their current location was not far from Sancha River, but they would have to ask for directions and certainly would not arrive quickly.
Wang Jiuming and Chen He’s cousin stopped leisurely sipping tea when they heard Yan Fei’s phone ring. Once he hung up, they immediately stopped sipping. Wang Jiuming asked, "Xiao Fei, do you have a suitable place here? We can’t just fight like this, right?"
Yan Fei looked at him with a touch of scorn, "Senior Brother Wang, surely your sight isn’t that poor. Have you seen any dog that can compare to those tigers at my door? Do you really think they can fight until heaven and earth turn dark? There’s plenty of open space by the river. It’ll be over in three seconds. Do we really need to go through all that trouble? Oh, and don’t count the smallest tiger, that’s from the city zoo. They had me look after it for a few days."
Wang Jiuming was very frustrated and wasn’t sure what to say when Chen He began to look troubled, "True, even if those tigers don’t look very spirited, with such size, it doesn’t matter if they’re a bit slow, just their weight could pin down a Tibetan Mastiff."
Tigers and dogs aren’t judged only by size. Even if they have the same size, a tiger’s weight is much heavier. After all, everyone knows that the way to identify tiger bone is by its much greater density compared to cow bone.
Yan Fei couldn’t be bothered to respond. Facts would prove everything, and talking to them now was pointless. Without seeing for themselves, many things can’t be clearly explained no matter how much theory one knows.
It’s like when people say a tiger can deliver a blow with a thousand kilograms of force. Most would think that’s impressive, but they don’t truly grasp how impressive it is, having no concept of the actual effect.
So, without seeing it with their own eyes, all the talking in the world is useless.
Wang Jiuming felt Yan Fei’s attitude was too casual and stood up, "Let’s go outside and look for a suitable place. Even by the river, we should find a more even terrain, right? Otherwise, it’ll be hard to determine the outcome of the fight."
With this suggestion, everyone else stood up as well.
It was just getting light outside when Wang Jiuming led the way out the door. As they reached the doorway, the group stopped in their tracks.
Yan Fei quickly walked to the front, "I’ve told you there’s nothing to worry about. When I’m not here, anyone from the field can feed them with no problems."
After two steps, noticing Wang Jiuming hadn’t followed, Yan Fei looked puzzled, "What’s the matter, Senior Brother Wang?"
Wang Jiuming, "These tigers are really big!"
Chen He, "I misspoke, with that size, they don’t even need to pin down a Tibetan Mastiff, they could scare it into submission!"
Yan Fei, "..."
Turns out they had utterly failed to realize how big the tigers were when they came in earlier because of poor visibility and the fact that Tiger Da and his gang were all lounging around.
Now the group was collectively anxious.
The anxiety stemmed from their desire to see a beast fight, yet now the difference in size was so great that there was hardly any comparability. Had they run this far for nothing?
They were even beginning to hope that the Tibetan Mastiffs the others had brought were as fierce as they said, at least large enough not to be too dwarfed.
Otherwise, they would have traveled hundreds of kilometers only to get a glimpse of tigers and eat a meal of dog meat, which would be very unsatisfying!
Yan Fei certainly knew the area well and led them down the river beside the greenhouses, and after a while, they reached a small grove.
Without waiting for him to speak, Wang Jiuming said, "This will do. No matter what, since they’ve come, they are bringing you money after all
Good people, so we should at least show some willingness."
Yan Fei laughed, "Forget it! I hope they still think the same after they arrive."
It’s really pointless to make tigers that could hunt dinosaurs fight against dogs raised in a greenhouse. Isn’t the outcome obvious?
Really, I wonder what those people are thinking. Could it be that their brains were kicked by a donkey to do such a thing? Even if the Tibetan Mastiffs from their original homeland were formidable, that’s because they grew up in icy and snowy conditions and fought wolf packs.
These Tibetan Mastiffs being raised by these people are treated like pets, pampered with good food and drink. They might not even have seen blood, and they still want to fight?
Let’s just treat it as a way to pass time, then!
