Chapter 91: Chapter 103: I Don’t Know You Well (4)

"Raymond, I’m suddenly feeling a bit hungry now, wait for me. I’ll be over there after I freshen up."

At her words, a smile spread across Raymond’s face. He replied seriously, "Sister Isabel, take your time. I will wait for you." Then, he happily hung up the phone.

After hanging up, Raymond noticed that Percy wasn’t in the bedroom. He played with Percy’s mobile phone for a while before obediently leaving the bedroom. Eventually, he found Percy in the study room. He trotted over and handed Percy his mobile phone, "Father, Sister Isabel will be over shortly."

"Hmm," replied Percy, taking the phone from him and casually putting it in his pocket.

...

Isabel, through the phone, heard Raymond’s tone turn from disappointment to joy. This unexpected turn of emotion made her mood do a 180-degree turn as well. Feeling much better all of a sudden.

She stretched lazily in bed and propped herself up into a sitting position. As she did so, she accidentally bumped into a hard object. Picking it up, she realized it was the bottle of Red Flower Oil she’d held onto from the night before. Her gaze softened slightly. Then she got out of bed and headed toward the bathroom.

After taking a quick bath and selecting casual outfit, she picked up her mobile phone and keys before stepping out of her door. After only about ten steps, she arrived at Percy’s door, and rang the doorbell.

In no time at all, the door was pulled open from the inside, revealing Percy’s tall figure. He was dressed in a simple black housecoat. His thick eyebrows twitched slightly upon seeing her, then he held the door open with one hand, stepping aside, "Please, come in."

This was Isabel’s second visit to Percy’s home, but the first time he’d opened the door for her, she felt a touch nervous. As she stepped across the threshold, her eyes were drawn to Percy’s long, clean, and beautifully formed hand holding the door.

Isabel had never realized that one person could possess such an impressive face and also have such beautiful hands that would make others jealous.

Percy didn’t leave. Because the entrance area was narrow, Isabel had to brush past Percy to enter. She could distinctly smell the faint fresh scent of his body wash. It smelled good, yet carried an undertone of danger.

Rapidly glancing at Percy, Isabel managed to keep her voice casual, saying, "Sorry for the intrusion."

"No problem," Percy responded before closing the door. He then led Isabel into the living room, gesturing at the sofa, "Please, have a seat." He walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, swiftly drawing aside the curtains. The brilliant early morning sunlight immediately flooded in, illuminating and expanding the space.

Percy then went to the refrigerator, took out a bottle of water, and handed it to Isabel.

Isabel said ’thank you’ and took it. Percy sat down on the sofa and pointed to the spot opposite him. Isabel took her seat.

Percy didn’t say a word and an uncomfortable silence filled the living room. Isabel, feeling quite awkward, was considering how to start a conversation when Raymond burst out from his bedroom, neatly dressed. "Sister Isabel!" He called out excitedly before bouncing over to her.

Raymond’s appearance instantly eased the tension in the room. Isabel, already fond of Raymond, naturally lifted her hand to ruffle his hair, keeping her voice gentle as she greeted him, "Good morning, Raymond."
