Percy Stanton didn’t expect Thomas Quincy to ask like that, and hesitated before saying, "No, why do you ask?"

"It’s just that for the first time I’ve seen you so concerned about someone, I thought Raymond’s mother had returned."

Percy Stanton lowered his eyes and didn’t say anything until the other line was cut. He took the mobile phone from his ear, placed it in the co-pilot seat, and drove along the road, relying on his memory, finding the nearest 24-hour pharmacy. Percy walked into the bedroom, and saw that Isabel had fallen asleep. He placed the Red Flower Oil on the bedroom’s tea table, carefully went to the bathroom, filled a basin with hot water, soaked an already sterilized clean towel in it, took it out, wrung out the water before gently walking out of the bath room and folding back to the bedside.

Fearing that Isabel would catch a cold, Percy carefully lifted the quilt near her feet, and half squatting on the ground, he gently placed the hot towel on her injured toes. After a while, the warmth of the towel had dissipated, he tiptoed and went to the bathroom to reheat the towel with hot water before folding back to repeat the previous actions.

Percy did this several times before stopping. He squatted in front of the bed, reached for the Red Flower Oil, poured some into his palm, rubbed it gently to preheat, and then applied it to Isabel’s toes. He then gently kneaded along the swollen area.

In her sleep, Isabel was actually not very rested, as she always felt intermittent tingling sensations from her injured foot. However, she was so tired that she didn’t want to move at all.
