Chapter 126: Chapter 138: Dad, You Liar (7)

Isabel’s expression still showed some hesitation.

Percy continued to speak nonchalantly, his voice devoid of any emotion: "Moreover, now that you have no say in Smith Corporation, you need to come up with a plan that no one would dare to imagine in order to deter those people."

Upon hearing these words, Isabel’s demeanor gradually calmed down.

Indeed, now that Smith Corporation had fallen into the hands of Sebastian Smith’s family, she had to come up with a reliable strategy to gain the approval of Grandma and Smith’s Enterprise Board of Directors.

However, Percy didn’t focus on Isabel’s inner struggle. Instead, he just stared at Raymond Thompson, his eyes filled with caution and wariness, fearing that Raymond would reveal their true identities the next second.

After quite a while, Isabel gritted her teeth and said, "Fine, I’ll listen to your suggestion and go for the partnership proposals with Ten Mile Prosperity and Thompson Empire Group."

Only then did Raymond closed his mouth and look at Isabel, his voice soft and childish, "Sister Isabel, I support you."

Percy’s heart finally settled, and he secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Keeping his composure, he leaned his tense back against the soft sofa. He clearly felt a layer of cold sweat on his back but maintained a calm and composed demeanor, nodding at Isabel without saying anything more.

Once they discussed work matters, Isabel suggested leaving. Raymond was reluctant to let her go and held her hand, but this time Percy didn’t try to stop her.

Raymond reluctantly escorted Isabel to the doorstep, even carrying a Chanel paper bag as big as half his size. At the doorway, he reluctantly handed the bag to Isabel and said, "Goodbye, Sister Isabel."

"Goodbye, Raymond." Raymond’s understanding and adorable behavior made Isabel unable to resist bending down, lifting her hand, and pinching Raymond’s cheek. Raymond’s little face instantly turned red, his head lowered as he muttered, "I already miss you, Sister Isabel."

Percy, standing behind Raymond, couldn’t stand listening to it anymore. He stretched out his hand, quickly pulling Raymond back inside the house and said to Isabel, "Goodbye."

Isabel smiled and nodded, then turned around and left.

Percy immediately raised his hand, slammed the door shut, and pushed his son aside while striding toward the living room.

Raymond, squatting on the ground, frowned and quickly got up, first patting his buttocks and then chasing after Percy angrily. He ran in front of Percy, spread his arms to block his way, raised his head and, seemingly unsatisfied with their height difference, Raymond looked around, then moved a ceramic frame from a nearby table to the floor, climbed onto it, and stood up. Instantly, he was slightly taller than Percy and looked down at him unhappily, "Father, you’re a liar!"

Percy had been calmly standing in his original place, watching his son’s series of actions. Suddenly hearing those words, Percy raised his eyebrows, lazily glanced at his son, and scoffed without saying anything.

Raymond still looked down at Percy and glared at him, his tone fierce, "Father, why did you deceive Sister Isabel? You’re obviously the heir to Thompson Empire Group, so why did you tell Sister Isabel that you were friends with someone inside the Thompson Empire Group? By doing this, you are disrespecting Sister Isabel, and that’s as good as disrespecting me!"
