Chapter 47: Chapter 0047: Qin Mei in Trouble [Part 2]

Chu Feng looked at the unfinished building before him and stepped inside.

The building, twenty-two stories high, was a well-known structure in East River. It almost became a landmark of the city, but now it stood alone, an urban scar.

To the average person, twenty-two stories would be quite the height, but for Chu Feng, it wasn’t particularly tall.

However, Chu Feng did not rush. He ascended the stairs one by one. With fifteen minutes to spare, he had enough time to reach the top.

What Chu Feng needed to do now was to carefully observe each floor’s layout, checking for any potential dangers and escape routes.

Ten minutes later, Chu Feng reached the twentieth floor, with just two more to the rooftop.

Standing at the landing between the twentieth and twenty-first floors, Chu Feng furrowed his brows as he looked toward the stairs leading to the twenty-first floor.

There were two staircases leading up, and Chu Feng had already inspected the other one, which bore no footprints. However, this staircase also had no footprints.

This was clearly abnormal, as the unfinished building had no elevators, so the stairs were the only option. It was certainly unusual for them to be used without footprints being left behind.

Of course, unless they could fly, but could they? Obviously, that was impossible.

Chu Feng glanced at a nearby window and his eyes lit up. There were clear signs of someone having passed through it.

He approached the window, examining the marks left on it, confirming that the other party had indeed exited through the window.

Following suit, Chu Feng climbed out of the window and looked up at the floor above.

"There must be an ambush on the twenty-first floor," Chu Feng told himself, eyeing the traces of someone entering the twenty-first floor.

Since the others had chosen to take the window, it was obvious there was some unknown danger on the stairs between the twentieth and twenty-first floors—a danger Chu Feng evidently could not avoid.

Therefore, taking the stairs up was an option Chu Feng instantly dismissed. As for the other window, in Chu Feng’s view, it was an unknown as well, making the safest option to follow suit, though it was still risky. It was just relatively less so compared to others.

"No matter what, for Sister Mei, even if I’m facing a dragon’s den or a tiger’s lair, I’ll forge ahead," Chu Feng steeled his heart and clenched his teeth in determination.

"Thump!"

With a powerful leap from the edge of the window, Chu Feng soared into the air, only to see a fist hurtling down from the twenty-first floor.

The punch was incredibly swift and cunning, almost sealing off any grip or leverage Chu Feng could have taken, forcing him into a direct collision.

There were only two possible outcomes to this head-on clash. Either Chu Feng was stronger and would send his adversary flying with a punch, successfully entering the twenty-first floor, or Chu Feng was weaker, would be blown away, and then fall from the twenty-first floor to his death.

It was a deadly trap, leaving Chu Feng no choice.

Fortunately, Chu Feng had successfully advanced to the Yellow Level a few days ago, increasing his strength by another three hundred pounds, bringing his power to an astonishing two thousand pounds. This was the strength of a Yellow Level Mid-Stage Expert, yet Chu Feng was still at the Yellow Level Early Stage.

Moreover, a Yellow Level Expert could now begin to summon True Qi, allowing it to spread throughout the body for close combat attacks and defense.

Because of the Xuanhuang Technique, Chu Feng’s True Qi was far stronger than that of others at the same level, which even surprised Zhang Shisan.

"Bang!"

Their fists collided in mid-air, and Chu Feng exerted all his strength while summoning his True Qi.

The collision of the fists emitted a bursting sound that tore through the air.

"Yellow Level Expert!"

Feeling the opponent’s strength surpassing a thousand pounds and the True Qi enveloping the fist, Chu Feng was slightly surprised.

This was the second Yellow Level Expert Chu Feng had encountered, besides Zhang Shisan.

"Thud!"

The opponent was sent flying, and Chu Feng was relieved that he hadn’t held back, striking with his full force.

After sending his opponent flying, Chu Feng quickly grabbed the window of the twenty-first floor and leaped into it.

Seeing the men in black getting up from the ground and preparing to go upstairs, Chu Feng exerted his strength, and his power burst forth in an instant, allowing him to cover five meters almost in the blink of an eye.

"Get down!"

Chu Feng bellowed, and then he launched a kick.

"Bang!"

Chu Feng’s kick struck, sending the man in black flying outwards.

Chu Feng continued his pursuit, grabbing the man in black by the neck, his voice ice-cold, "Where’s Sister Mei? Speak or I’ll kill you!"

The chilling murderous intent emanating from Chu Feng caused the man in black, under his foot, to shiver uncontrollably.

"Qin Mei is on the top floor, if you kill me, you’ll never see Qin Mei again. I have a suggestion, capture me and exchange me for Qin Mei," said the man in black.

"You dare give me advice!"

After Chu Feng finished speaking, he punched the man in black on his temple, knocking him out cold with his eyes rolling back.

Chu Feng picked up the man in black, and although he didn’t want to do as he said, he had no choice but to proceed. Because only by doing so could he ensure Qin Mei’s safety.

With a hostage in hand, Chu Feng felt somewhat more confident.

Following the footprints on the stairs leading to the top floor, Chu Feng carried the man in black upstairs briskly and arrived at the unfinished rooftop.

As Chu Feng arrived at the rooftop holding the man, he saw a back that sparked endless imagination and was irresistibly provocative.

"Where’s Sister Mei?" Although the figure was incredibly attractive, now was not the time to be distracted by such things.

"Am I not as appealing to you as your Sister Mei?" the figure turned around, and Chu Feng’s breath hitched involuntarily.

The lady wore a pair of black-framed glasses and held a pad in her hand, looking much like a white-collar female secretary.

"Had enough of a look, kiddo? If you like what you see, I could strip down for you. It took you five seconds to take down Black Bear, my most resilient henchman. I suspect you wouldn’t even need five seconds if you wanted to strip me," the lady said, her voice dripping with seduction.

Chu Feng remained unmoved and said, "Where’s Sister Mei? If you don’t talk, I don’t mind crushing his neck."

The lady smiled slightly and replied, "Your Sister Mei is fine, she’s at home cooking for you right now. If you don’t believe me, you can call to check. However, you might want to loosen your grip a bit first, I wouldn’t want my man to die at the hands of his own ally before he even encounters an enemy."

Chu Feng relaxed his grip slightly and then called Qin Mei.

The call was quickly answered, and Chu Feng hastily asked, "Sister Mei, are you alright? Why couldn’t I get through to your phone just now?"

Qin Mei said, "There was a telemarketer today, insistently calling me non-stop, and my phone ran out of battery as soon as I got off work. I’ve just charged it. Xiao Feng, have you finished school? When will you be coming back?"

Chu Feng, looking at the lady opposite him who was seductively licking her flaming red lips again, swallowed hard and said, "Sister Mei, I’ve got a bit of a situation today, I might be back late. Don’t wait for me for dinner."

Qin Mei agreed and then hung up the call.

"See, little guy, Sister didn’t lie to you, did she? Now you can put down Black Bear, and we can discuss something else, right?" the lady said.

Chu Feng let go, and Black Bear crashed to the ground. Chu Feng looked at the lady opposite him and asked, "Who are you?"
