Chapter 417: Chapter 0418: Robert’s Logic

Chu Feng’s eyes widened in shock as he heard An Rongrong’s words.

An Rongrong, embarrassed by Chu Feng’s stare, blushed and hung her head, shyly saying, "What are you staring at? If you don’t want to, forget it."

Chu Feng rapidly nodded his head, exclaiming, "I do, I do!"

Half an hour later, An Rongrong, shaking her sore arms, frowned at Chu Feng and asked, "Did you do that on purpose?"

"On Heaven and Earth, I really didn’t mean to," Chu Feng replied.

"Hmph, you did it on purpose. I’m never playing with you again," An Rongrong declared.

"Go out and buy something for me; here’s the list," An Rongrong said as she handed Chu Feng a slip of paper.

Chu Feng left the room, and An Rongrong, looking at her flushed face in the mirror, thought to herself, "He’s hiding something from me, but should I ask? I can feel his love for me, what should I do?"

After pondering for a while, An Rongrong couldn’t come up with an answer and simply shook her head, concluding, "Maybe I’m just being oversensitive. Perhaps he isn’t hiding anything."

Ten minutes later, Chu Feng returned, his face flushed, holding a black plastic bag.

"Everything is in here," Chu Feng said, handing the plastic bag to An Rongrong.

An Rongrong, seeing Chu Feng’s defeated expression, couldn’t help but smile triumphantly.

"You little minx, dare to laugh at me? Believe it or not, I’ll put you in your place," Chu Feng said fiercely.

"Sure, go ahead and put me in my place. Later, you can just go downstairs and buy these for me again," An Rongrong responded nonchalantly.

Hearing this, Chu Feng deflated. He still hadn’t forgotten the beautiful saleswoman’s strange looks. Enduring that again was, to Chu Feng, worse than death.

That evening, Robert invited Chu Feng and An Rongrong for dinner.

"Chu, you’re here. I had these baijiu and beer specifically shipped over from Huaxia; I’m not sure which you’d prefer," Robert said.

Chu Feng, seeing Robert’s effort, replied, "No need for such trouble, any drink is fine by me."

"Chu, you are my most honored guest; I can’t afford to neglect you," Robert said, shaking his head.

Chu Feng shook his head and didn’t linger on the matter.

Once all three were seated, Robert said, "Chu, I’ve taken care of Nick’s family for you..."

Chu Feng cut Robert off, "I’ve said before, just handle it yourself; I trust you. Besides, my fiancée doesn’t want to hear about these bloody matters."

An Rongrong felt a sweet rush hearing Chu Feng refer to her as his fiancée, and her face flushed with shyness.

Robert responded, "Fine. Let’s drink then."

As Chu Feng and Robert clinked their glasses, Chu Feng glanced at Robert’s forehead, his brow furrowing slightly.

"Chu, what’s wrong?" Robert asked, noticing Chu Feng’s frown.

"Have you had any recent conflicts involving your father?" Chu Feng inquired.

Robert’s eyes widened in shock, "Chu, are you a god? How did you know?"

"Don’t worry about how I know; just be careful. There might be someone out to get you soon," Chu Feng advised.

Since Chu Feng began his cultivation, he had become even more adept and precise in face-reading. Except for himself, Chu Feng had never misread anyone.

It wasn’t that Chu Feng didn’t want to read others; it was just too draining on his Divine Sense. Chu Feng’s Divine Sense was precious, and he preferred not to waste it on such matters. Besides, Chu Feng had never truly delved into this art.

Today, Chu Feng only glanced at Robert on a whim. He had exerted some effort to give Robert a brief prediction.

After all, Robert had helped him today, and Chu Feng was not used to owing others. Although Robert’s life was in his hands, Chu Feng still believed in keeping things separate.

Robert nodded desperately and said, "Thank you, Chu, for your advice. I will be very careful from now on."

The more miraculous Chu Feng acted, the more respectful Robert became towards him.

"Chu, how is my father doing in Huaxia?" Robert asked.

Chu Feng replied, "The Dragon Soul should not have interfered. Have you been in contact with your father?"

Robert replied, "Yes, I have never been prevented from contacting my father. It’s just that since I haven’t seen him with my own eyes, I am still somewhat worried."

Chu Feng smiled at Robert and said, "I didn’t expect you to be such a filial son. Rest assured, your father is fine and doing very well. Also, I estimate that soon you will have a new brother or sister."

Upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, Robert said excitedly, "Are you saying that my father’s lover is pregnant again?"

Chu Feng nodded and said, "Yes."

Robert responded, "That puts me at ease. If father has time for such matters, it proves that he is indeed doing very well."

Hearing Robert’s reasoning, Chu Feng was really at a loss for words. Being able to do such things as an indication of living well was quite an inference.

After finishing their meal and reaching late at night,

Chu Feng was not yet drunk, but Robert was almost so drunk that he was unconscious.

The group opened the door to leave and had barely steadied themselves when a fast-moving dark shadow suddenly lunged at them.

The movement of this dark shadow was incredibly fast, and the claws in its hands also glittered with a terrifying cold light.

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

In an instant, the heads of two bodyguards in front of Robert were decapitated by the incoming dark shadow.

This bloody scene terrified An Rongrong, and Robert sobered up in an instant.

"Ah!"

Robert screamed, took a step back, and sat down on the ground.

"Humph!"

With a cold snort, Chu Feng stepped forward and threw a punch directly at the cyborg’s chest.

The punch crushed a large part of the chest.

"Ow!"

The cyborg screamed in pain and flew backward.

Without pausing, Chu Feng stepped forward and sent a palm strike from afar, his spiritual energy surged, directly smashing the cyborg’s brain.

"Someone! Come quickly!"

It was only then that Robert reacted, calling loudly for help.

However, despite his shouts, no one responded to Robert.

Chu Feng said, "Stop shouting; if he could barge in here, it means all your people are dead. From now on, take more bodyguards when you go out, preferably some more skilled ones."

Robert gritted his teeth and said, "I will. These people dared to confront me so brazenly; I must make them pay."

Chu Feng did not believe that Robert could have climbed to his current position if he were merely a weakling. Hence, a single reminder from Chu Feng was sufficient. What Robert did next was his own affair.
