Chapter 416: Chapter 0417: Just Like Last Time
Robert, upon hearing Chu Feng’s instructions, replied respectfully, "Okay, Chu, I know what to do now. I’ll have someone take you to rest."
Chu Feng thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "Alright."
"Thanks for giving me this opportunity. Tonight, I must treat you to a couple of drinks, just like a Huaxia would," Robert said excitedly.
Robert’s attitude made An Rongrong’s father regret his actions even more, and even Huang Shan was left staring in disbelief.
His new boss seemed pretty incredible. Following such a boss, his future was bound to be limitless.
Chu Feng, Dice, and An Rongrong were escorted to the hotel by Robert’s men.
Dice wisely chose to excuse himself, of course, he had some matters to report to He Sheng as well.
In the room, only Chu Feng and An Rongrong remained. An Rongrong looked at Chu Feng, hesitating to speak.
Seeing the look on An Rongrong’s face, Chu Feng couldn’t help but tease, "Just say whatever you want to say; I’ll do as you command. I’ll always be that Chu Feng who loves eating you out."
An Rongrong, moved and embarrassed by Chu Feng’s words, blushed and scolded coquettishly, "You’re terrible."
Watching An Rongrong look so charming and seductive, Chu Feng felt a strong desire and immediately wrapped his arms around her.
"Ah!"
With a tender cry, An Rongrong nonetheless leaned compliantly in Chu Feng’s embrace.
"I’m sorry for the hardship you’ve suffered. I should have come to pick you up sooner. It’s all my fault," Chu Feng said gently.
An Rongrong replied, "You’ve already said that once."
Chu Feng said, "Even saying it a hundred times wouldn’t make up for my shortcomings to you."
An Rongrong said, "Please don’t hurt my father, okay? He didn’t mean to do it."
An Rongrong had hesitated earlier because she wanted to talk about this, but she didn’t know how to approach the subject with Chu Feng.
Because Chu Feng had become much more powerful than when she first met him. She feared that his heart might change, but Chu Feng’s recent words dispelled all of An Rongrong’s worries, as he was still that same Chu Feng who doted on her.
Chu Feng straightened An Rongrong’s body, lightly stroked her dainty nose, and smiled, "You wanted to talk about this in the car, didn’t you?"
An Rongrong shyly nodded, "Yes."
Chu Feng smiled and said, "Even if I were scum, I wouldn’t lay a hand on my future father-in-law. I just wanted to teach him a lesson. Once we leave the USA, I’ll have Robert take care of him a bit. At least make sure he lives comfortably in the USA."
An Rongrong nodded, "After this matter, I think my father will see a lot of things more clearly and he won’t act that way anymore."
Chu Feng said, "If he can mend his ways, then he will still be my good father-in-law."
An Rongrong rolled her eyes at Chu Feng, "Who’s your father-in-law? You really have some nerve."
Chu Feng replied, "Your dad is of course my father-in-law. Or are you planning to escape from my palm again this time?"
An Rongrong retorted, "Do you think you’re The Buddha?"
Chu Feng laughed, "If I were The Buddha, then you’d be Monkey Sun, a skinny monkey at that."
"Are you looking for a beating? You’re the monkey!" An Rongrong, upon hearing Chu Feng tease her, started to pinch him all over on his body.
After the playful tussle, both lay on the bed exhausted. An Rongrong, resting her head on Chu Feng’s arm, finally felt secure.
"Tell me about your time back in Huaxia. I want to see if you’ve been flirting around in my absence. If you have, don’t blame me for not being nice," An Rongrong huffed.
"Cough cough!" Chu Feng knew he couldn’t avoid this topic, but An Rongrong’s sudden mention still made him cough awkwardly.
An Rongrong stood up from the bed with hands on her hips, looking annoyed, "You hesitated for so long without speaking, which means there’s something going on in Huaxia. Spill the beans right now."
Chu Feng sat up from the bed, then touched his nose feeling extremely awkward, "About that, I don’t know how to tell you. You know about Sister Yan, Sister Mei—who’s my sister-in-law—and the two celebrities; we’ve all been living together. And I’ve told you about this before..."
An Rongrong looked at Chu Feng’s evasive and incoherent explanation, couldn’t help but laugh and said, "Stop, no need to explain further, I already know about your affairs in Huaxia. Overall, I’m fairly pleased with your behavior. Even with Goddess Xinyan around, you didn’t falter, proving that you are a man of strong will. I won’t interrogate you any further."
An Rongrong’s words made Chu Feng feel even worse. He wanted to come clean with An Rongrong but didn’t know how to explain it.
"Forget it, I’ll find a chance to talk about it when we’re back in Huaxia," Chu Feng thought to himself, annoyed.
Chu Feng hadn’t noticed the faint disappointment that had flashed in An Rongrong’s eyes.
"Alright, your turn now. Tell me, have you met any handsome guys in the USA?" Chu Feng changed the subject.
An Rongrong thought carefully, and then counting on her fingers, she calculated, "The handsome guys I’ve met in the USA are quite a few. Like Neo, Mike, and so on."
Watching Chu Feng’s face grow increasingly dark, An Rongrong laughed gleefully, "Giggle. I was just joking with you. During my time in the USA, apart from doing volunteer work every week, I barely go out."
Chu Feng pulled An Rongrong into his arms and evilly smiled, "You little minx, even dare to deceive me. If I don’t discipline you with a family rule today, you won’t realize the seriousness."
An Rongrong acted scared, bargaining, "Please don’t. I already know I was wrong, I won’t dare to do it again. Can we skip the family discipline?"
"No way!" Just as Chu Feng was about to continue, An Rongrong grabbed his hand.
Feeling An Rongrong’s grip, Chu Feng instantly woke up and apologized, "I’m sorry, I was too impulsive."
An Rongrong, with a flushed face, said, "It’s okay, it’s just that today is not a good day for me."
Chu Feng heard An Rongrong’s words, nodded, but said nothing.
An Rongrong looked at Chu Feng and suddenly, shyly and with a flushed face, said, "Maybe I can do like last time at the cinema?"
