Chapter 127: Chapter 0127: Seat Occupancy Incident [Part 1]

Being expelled was now a certainty, and Yin Ling grasped at her last straw of salvation.

Luan Fei shook off Yin Ling’s grip fiercely, saying, "Are you out of your mind? When did I ever say I’d marry you? We were just fooling around, that was understood from the start. You’ve got problems, you deal with them yourself."

After saying this, Luan Fei quickly left the classroom, completely indifferent to the classmates’ disdainful stares.

"Chu Feng! Chu Feng! Please let me off this once, I swear I’ll never dare again. I can’t be expelled from school!" As Luan Fei left, a sudden realization hit Yin Ling and she hurriedly ran to Chu Feng, begging for his forgiveness.

Chu Feng said, "Dealing with you is not my responsibility, nor do I have the authority. So, seeking me out is pointless. If there’s nothing else, I need to supervise my classmates’ study session."

On hearing Chu Feng’s words, Yin Ling was stunned, standing utterly bewildered on the spot.

"Chu Feng, I know for sure you can find a way. Just one call from you could make the school handle this issue, or even have them overlook it," Yin Ling persisted, still unwilling to give up, "If you let me off this time, I am willing to do anything for you, anything you ask."

Upon hearing Yin Ling’s words, even a hint of disgust flickered in Chu Feng’s eyes, and any sympathy he might have had was completely extinguished.

Chu Feng said, "Having someone like you in the school is an insult to the term ’Ivory Tower.’ Just leave. I can’t help you, and if you continue to disrupt our study session, I’ll have to call security. If you don’t want things to get even worse, you’d best leave our classroom immediately."

It became clear to Yin Ling that Chu Feng would absolutely not help her, and she left the classroom, soul-crushed.

After Yin Ling left, the classroom fell deathly silent.

Chu Feng swept his gaze around the room before finally stepping up to the podium and said, "Fellow classmates, I’m not a teacher, and I won’t lecture you on the Great Tao. But there’s one thing I do know, this society is already incredibly unfair. I don’t want our last pure land before entering society to be tainted as well. All I did was what I should have done; you don’t need to overthink it. As your class president, I’ve said that I would take responsibility for you, and that includes providing a fair environment for everyone."

"Clap clap!"

As Chu Feng finished speaking, everyone clapped spontaneously.

"Xue Yafang, it’s likely that tomorrow someone will come to talk to you about the admission ticket issue. I hope you remember what you promised me, to be fair to everyone," Chu Feng said to Xue Yafang.

Xue Yafang nodded firmly, "Rest assured, I will ensure absolute fairness. I’ll use a lottery system to decide each class’s seating."

Chu Feng nodded, "That’s best."

After a pause, Chu Feng continued, "However, classmates, you don’t need to worry. Actually, your class president has always been rather lucky, so I’ll take care of the lottery tomorrow. I promise to get us seats in the front row. If not, your class president here will treat everyone to a big meal."

"Long live the class president!"

Upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, everyone cheered.

Chu Feng gestured for silence and said, "Let’s continue with our self-study."

Chu Feng returned to his seat, and Qi Houbo said, "The class president is truly wise. Whether we get front-row seats or a meal, it’s a win for us."

Chu Feng asked, "So, which do you prefer, front-row seats or a meal?"

Qi Houbo responded, "Of course, the front-row seats. No matter how many meals you treat us to, it can’t compare to watching I.L.’s performance up close!"

Chu Feng asked, "Is that girl’s group really popular?"

Chu Feng hung out with Fan Xiaoxiao and Fang Ting every day, so he didn’t have an accurate idea of their popularity.

Qi Houbo looked at Chu Feng as if he were looking at an alien, and said, "Class President, if you weren’t an alien, you’d never ask such a question."

Even the usually steady Han Chunsheng joined in on the topic, saying, "I.L. is currently the hottest youth idol group. In terms of popularity, aside from some of the veteran groups, there’s only one called ’Butterfly’ that can compete with I.L. However, ’Butterfly’ is not as innocent as I.L., so they’ve always been overshadowed by I.L."

Chu Feng looked at Han Chunsheng and said, "If even you know about them, then they must really be on fire."

Qi Houbo said, "They’re not just on fire, they’re super hot. If you really can get us front-row seats, the whole class would treat you to a meal."

After Qi Houbo finished speaking and saw Chu Feng’s disbelief, he stood up and said, "Classmates, if the class president gets us front-row seats tomorrow, how about we treat him to a meal?"

"Yes! If the class president can get us front-row seats, then not just treating him to a meal, even a date with me would be fine," boldly declared one of the lively and extroverted girls in the class.

"Sun Lili, just keep dreaming. The class president is Yafang’s. You don’t stand a chance," someone immediately teased.

"I’m not trying to steal him from Yafang. I meant if the class president really can get us those front-row seats, then I would consider going on a date with him," Sun Lili said.

Chu Feng watched everyone teasing but understood the popularity of Fan Xiaoxiao and her friend wasn’t for show.

Xue Yafang’s cheeks blushed as she sneaked glances at Chu Feng, although he didn’t notice.

The next day, the school indeed sought out Xue Yafang and entrusted her with handling the admission ticket issue.

Xue Yafang also insisted on absolute fairness, calling all the class presidents together. In front of everyone, she wrote down all the seat numbers, put them in a box, and had the class presidents draw lots.

Chu Feng was fifth in line, and the first four got pretty average spots.

However, when it was Chu Feng’s turn, he claimed to be fair, but since it involved his own classmates, using ’Divine Sense’ a bit wasn’t really against the rules.

Chu Feng directly picked a front-row center spot, instantly making a bunch of people green with envy.

Since it was open and transparent, everyone could only blame their own bad luck and not others.

When Chu Feng returned to the class and told everyone, the whole class exploded with excitement.

If Chu Feng hadn’t run fast enough, he probably would have been caught by the few boys in class and tossed in the air to celebrate.

Time passed quickly, and soon the day of the Freshmen’s Night arrived. Of course, in that period, the Student Union got a serious reprimand from the school. Yin Ling wasn’t expelled but was kicked out of the Student Union and received a major demerit. As for Luan Fei, he was directly transferred to another class, but whether he transferred or not, Chu Feng didn’t really care; after all, he was just a minor character.

On the day of the event, Chu Feng arrived early at the venue along with his classmates. After all, they had front-row seats, which made many people jealous, so it was better to get there early to avoid any changes.

However, as soon as they reached the entrance of the venue, they saw Qi Houbo, who had come early to reserve seats, running out with blood on his face.
