Chapter 126: Chapter 0126 The Student Union is Awesome [Part 2]

Yin Ling saw Xue Yafang and Chu Feng putting on a performance, and with a cold smile, said, "You can’t even handle the tickets for the Management College, yet you dare to boast that you’ll give her all the tickets for the whole school, which is simply courting popularity. Even the Student Union can’t claim to monopolize all the tickets to enter the entire school."

Chu Feng looked at Yin Ling and countered, "Is the Student Union really that powerful?"

Upon hearing Chu Feng’s words, Yin Ling scoffed and said, "You freshmen really are fearless because of your ignorance. The Student Union of East River University has substantial authority. It is the actual student management organization and can directly communicate with the school. Indeed, the school listens to the Student Union’s suggestions in many areas..."

What East River University values are openness and autonomy, which were the rules laid down by He Zhen back then. The purpose is to truly bring out the students’ autonomy and initiative.

Of course, in many cases, the school does respect the suggestions of the Student Union, but it does not completely comply with them. If the Student Union has any inappropriate actions, the school will stop them immediately.

After all, the real managers of the school are still the principal and the school’s party committee.

After Yin Ling finished speaking, Chu Feng said, "Are you done boasting? You can leave now, tomorrow you will get the answer you want."

Yin Ling did not expect that after all she had said, she would get such a response, and her face changed color immediately.

"Chu Feng, stop pretending here. If you have the guts, strip the Student Union and other clubs of the right to distribute tickets right now," Luan Fei said provocatively.

Chu Feng looked at Luan Fei and shook his head, "Luan Fei, we are classmates, I really don’t want to do this."

Hearing Chu Feng’s words, Luan Fei said smugly, "I knew you couldn’t. Now you’ve shown your true colors. Apologize to me now, and I can pretend nothing happened."

Chu Feng replied, "Unrepentant even in death. Since you insist on being shameless, I don’t need to be polite to you anymore."

Having said that, Chu Feng took out his phone and called Li Dongsheng.

Of course, this matter actually didn’t require disturbing Li Dongsheng, but in the school, Chu Feng only knew two people who had clout. One was He Zhen, and the other was Li Dongsheng.

Alarming He Zhen over such a trivial issue was definitely not appropriate, so he had to trouble Li Dongsheng.

After the call connected, Chu Feng spoke apologetically, "Brother Li, I’m sorry for disturbing you so late."

Li Dongsheng laughed and said, "It’s okay. I’m still working overtime anyway, so it’s not a disturbance. What’s up, Brother Chu?"

Chu Feng briefly explained the situation, then said, "Brother Li, I really shouldn’t trouble you with such a minor issue, but the school is so big, and you’re the only one I know."

Li Dongsheng laughed heartily and replied, "Brother Chu, you don’t have to be polite with me. This matter does need to be dealt with. The school is a Holy Land for students—it absolutely cannot allow the Student Union to act so recklessly. I’ll give a call to the Student Affairs office and have them handle it. We’ll do it just as you said; all ticket distribution rights will be handed over to you."

Chu Feng said, "Brother Li, thank you for handling this."

Luan Fei saw Chu Feng hang up the phone and disdainfully said, "Is the pretending over? You’re going to tell us that we’ll only get the results tomorrow, right?"

Chu Feng shook his head and replied, "No need. The results will be out in ten minutes. If you two aren’t busy, you can wait here."

Luan Fei said, "I can wait ten minutes, I’ll wait for your ten minutes."

After Li Dongsheng took the call, he immediately phoned the head of the Student Affairs office.

The word of the principal had to be heeded; he didn’t dare to neglect it.

Once Li Dongsheng ended the call, the head of Student Affairs immediately contacted all the colleges in charge of the Student Union, while also notifying the Student Union and all major clubs to stop this buying and selling of tickets immediately. Moreover, they were to prepare for a school investigation, with everyone involved in the ticket sales subject to school discipline.

Actually, Li Dongsheng hadn’t mentioned anything about disciplinary measures, because although this situation wasn’t ideal, it wasn’t severe enough for punishment. But in the eyes of the head of Student Affairs, the principal’s personal inquiry meant the nature of the issue had changed completely.

"Alright, ten minutes are up; your performance should be over by now. I don’t have time to play with you," Luan Fei said as he got up.

Yin Ling also spoke up, saying, "Fellow students, because of your class president, you have just lost your only twenty-four tickets. If you want to blame someone, blame your class president."

Upon hearing that the last of the tickets were gone, immediately there was a buzz of discussion among many people.

This was something Chu Feng truly hadn’t expected, nor had he expected that Fan Xiaoxiao and Fang Ting could command such popularity.

However, just as Luan Fei and Yin Ling were about to leave, Yin Ling suddenly got a phone call.

Yin Ling glanced at the phone; it was the call from the president of the Student Union of the Management College, and she answered it.

But before Yin Ling could speak, the president of the Student Union hurriedly said, "Yin Ling, stop selling tickets immediately. The school is already aware of this matter, and both the department head and the Student Affairs office are looking into it. So, anyone involved in ticket scalping will be disciplined, and the more serious cases will result in expulsion..."

What the Student Union president said afterward, Yin Ling no longer knew. But she did know that she was doomed this time around.

Because as far as she knew, out of all the people who bought tickets, she had purchased the most. And all that money had already been spent by her. If there were to be expulsions, she would certainly be the first to go.

Yin Ling’s family was only average in terms of wealth; she had hoped to rely on her identity as the head of the Literature and Art Department and student from the Management College of East River University to find a good job.

But now, it seemed all her dreams were about to be shattered. She was not only going to lose her position as the head of the Literature and Art Department but was also likely to become an expelled student from East River University.

"What’s wrong, Yin Ling?" Seeing Yin Ling turn pale, Luan Fei asked with a furrowed brow.

Pale-faced, Yin Ling replied, "The school knows. They’ve asked us all to retract the tickets and they’re dealing with everyone involved in the ticket scalping; anyone with serious offenses will be expelled."

After Yin Ling finished speaking, not only Luan Fei but also other classmates were shocked.

No one had anticipated that a single call from Chu Feng would result in such swift and decisive action from the school, to halt the affair altogether and even conduct a thorough investigation.

"Who on earth did Chu Feng call?" This was the biggest question in everyone’s minds at that moment.

Xue Yafang gazed at Chu Feng, her eyes shimmering with an unusual light.

Chu Feng himself had not expected Li Dongsheng to go as far as to deal with these people. In Chu Feng’s opinion, just reclaiming the tickets would have been sufficient; expelling them seemed rather excessive.

But things having reached this point, Chu Feng thought that perhaps this outcome wasn’t so bad after all.

"Luan Fei, you said you loved me, that you would love me for a lifetime, and take care of me. If I get expelled, let’s just get married, okay?" Suddenly struck by a thought, Yin Ling grasped Luan Fei’s arm and said.
