Chapter 108: Chapter 0108 Military Training Turmoil [Part 1]
Military training on the second day was evidently more stringent than the first.
Starting from 7 a.m., the day’s training began with two hours of standing at attention. This directly caused a group of girls to collapse.
However, this instructor Little Black clearly didn’t understand the concept of chivalry. All requests for leave were directly denied.
You say you feel unwell? Fine, the military has medics on hand. As long as the medic confirms you are unwell, you may rest.
By the end of the morning, everyone had lost their initial enthusiasm.
However, for his own assistant, Tie Mu, the instructor was very satisfied, and the envious glances from other instructors made him very proud.
The afternoon continued with posture training, and upon hearing it was still posture training, some girls immediately started crying.
Faced with this, the instructor somewhat relented and allowed the girls to rest for five minutes whenever they couldn’t endure any longer.
"Report, Instructor, I can’t keep up anymore," said Qi Houbo, who indeed was struggling.
The instructor glared and said, "If you think you’re a woman, then go and rest."
Qi Houbo gritted his teeth. Remembering his declaration of ’pure manliness’, he chose to persist.
Around two in the afternoon, a dark green military vehicle slowly approached.
Seeing the military vehicle arriving, all the instructors immediately got into formation and lined up to greet it.
The vehicle stopped, and four people got out.
They were a middle-aged Colonel, a Captain as a security officer, a driver, and Huang Zhongwei.
Huang Zhongwei, acting as the counselor from Management College for this military training, followed them, which seemed normal.
However, Chu Feng distinctly saw a sinister gleam flicker in Huang Zhongwei’s eyes.
The middle-aged Colonel inspected the troops and finally stopped in front of Chu Feng and his team.
"How is the military training going? Any students causing trouble?" asked Huang Zhongwei.
Little Black, knowing that Huang Zhongwei was in charge on behalf of the university, responded, "The training is progressing normally, no students are causing trouble, and no students are violating discipline."
Hearing Little Black’s response, the girls all breathed a sigh of relief, fearing that their lazy antics would be revealed by the no-nonsense instructor.
"What is the current training module?" asked the middle-aged Colonel.
"Reporting to the Colonel, we are currently conducting standing at attention training."
The middle-aged Colonel nodded, then turned to the security officer beside him and ordered, "Go down and inspect everyone’s posture."
Upon hearing this, Little Black’s bushy eyebrows involuntarily tightened.
Such an inspection hadn’t been a part of previous trainings, and with nearly eight thousand freshmen at East River University spread over more than two hundred formations, choosing specifically to inspect his own was definitely problematic.
"Yes!"
The security officer agreed, and then went down to inspect.
"Everyone, follow the command; stand at attention, and remember the key points I explained this morning," Little Black turned and instructed the students in Chu Feng’s class.
All the students tensed upon hearing the instructor’s command.
The Colonel’s security guard was a tall soldier, and his walking posture clearly indicated he was skilled in martial arts.
After making a round, the guard eventually stopped behind Chu Feng.
Standing behind Chu Feng, the guard’s eyes suddenly took on a chill, and then he viciously kicked towards Chu Feng’s waist.
By the time the instructor noticed, it was already too late; he could only call out a warning to Chu Feng but couldn’t reach him in time.
Chu Feng, without needing the warning, had already sensed the abnormality behind him. Though he didn’t know why the guard was attacking him, being passive was not in Chu Feng’s nature.
Chu Feng swiftly dodged the guard’s kick.
Seeing Chu Feng’s movement, the guard’s eyes brightened, but in the next moment, he swung his leg out in a wide sweep aimed at Chu Feng.
This sweeping kick was fast, fierce, and full of force. If an ordinary person were hit by this kick, they would definitely suffer broken bones and torn tendons.
If the first strike was a probe, this second one was clearly intended to be lethal.
Whoever was out to take Chu Feng’s life, Chu Feng would certainly not hold back.
Whoosh!
Chu Feng kicked out, using his full strength.
Chu Feng’s kick was faster, and even more ruthless, even bringing with it a whooshing sound through the air.
The Colonel’s guard, seeing Chu Feng’s sudden kick, displayed a look of terror in his eyes. He clearly felt the power of Chu Feng’s kick.
By then, it was too late for him to extract himself, and all he could do was grit his teeth and brace for the impact.
Crack!
A teeth-grinding crack was heard, followed by the clear sight of the colonel’s guard’s right leg, unmistakably broken.
At this, everyone was shocked. A single kick had broken the man’s leg; the force needed must have been immense.
Little Black, the petite instructor, was somewhat dumbfounded. Although he could tell that Chu Feng was a trained cultivator, he hadn’t expected Chu Feng’s strength to be so formidable.
What he truly knew was that this colonel’s guard was a top combat expert in the entire Ninth Division. He had participated in the military’s grand martial competition, securing the third position, a genuinely skilled fighter.
Especially his leg skills; one kick of his was enough to break a tree as thick as a bowl. But now, Chu Feng had broken his right leg with a single kick.
"Chu Feng, what are you doing! You actually attacked a military training instructor, have you lost your mind!" Huang Zhongwei was the first to react, pointing at Chu Feng and shouting furiously.
Hearing Huang Zhongwei’s words, Chu Feng let out a cold laugh. To say that this incident had nothing to do with Huang Zhongwei, Chu Feng wouldn’t believe it even if he were beaten to death.
"Huang Zhongwei, enough with your tricks. You just want to deal with me, right? Fine! I’ll give you that chance today!" Chu Feng had been thoroughly enraged by Huang Zhongwei’s actions, thus he prepared to take care of Huang Zhongwei.
Hearing Chu Feng’s words, Huang Zhongwei’s face turned cold, embarrassed to be spoken to in such a manner by a student.
"Chu Feng, you dare to threaten me, you’re making one mistake after another, and you haven’t even realized you’re lost. You will end up in the military court!" Huang Zhongwei roared furiously.
"Military court? Who do you think you are? Is the military court run by your family?" Chu Feng still sneered.
"You injured my guard and speak recklessly, I’m immediately informing your school. This person is detained by our military! Zhang Tiezhu, tie him up immediately." the middle-aged Colonel’s face darkened as he spoke.
Before Chu Feng could respond, the petite instructor said, "Colonel, he’s still a student after all, and his actions were not moderated. Besides, he was only counterattacking just now. Let’s just let this go."
"You’re the Colonel, I’m the Colonel! He injured my guard, and I’m already showing mercy by not executing him here. I now order you to immediately tie him up and take him to the brigade headquarters." The middle-aged Colonel glared and shouted at Zhang Tiezhu.
"What the hell kind of Colonel are you, are you blind? Didn’t you see that it was your guard who attacked Chu Feng first?" Tie Mu, witnessing this scene, screamed furiously with bloodshot eyes.
"Tie Mu, what do you think you’re doing! This is a military camp, not a place for you to act recklessly!" Huang Zhongwei scolded sternly.
Tie Mu glared at Huang Zhongwei and said, "I’ve disliked you for a long time now, today is a good day to beat you up."
"Watch out!"
Zhang Tiezhu saw the Colonel’s driver kick at Tie Mu’s exposed side, shouted a warning, and then blocked the attack for Tie Mu.
Chu Feng hadn’t expected that the Colonel’s driver was also an expert, and a deeply concealed one at that.
Zhang Tiezhu was no match for the driver at all, being directly kicked away with just one kick.
"Damn it! Dare to sneak attack me, I’ll cripple you!" Tie Mu roared, ready to charge at the driver.
"Tie Mu, don’t be impulsive, this is a military camp, acting rashly will cause a lot of trouble and could even harm your friends," Zhang Tiezhu said, enduring severe pain in his chest.
Tie Mu held Zhang Tiezhu in high regard, nonetheless.
"Phew!"
However, Tie Mu stopped, but the driver obviously didn’t intend to.
He threw a punch, aiming directly for Tie Mu’s ribs, clearly intending to disable him.
But before his fist could reach Tie Mu, Chu Feng had already stepped in front of him.
"Boom!"
Chu Feng threw a punch, colliding with the opposing fist, creating a muffled sound.
"Hmph!"
The driver grunted, feeling a surge of blood and breath.
"You’re not a soldier!" Chu Feng, from the exchange just now, spotted a clue.
This man was obviously an Ancient Martial Cultivator, a Quasi Yellow Level expert. While the military also had experts, ones at this level were extremely rare.
"What are you talking about, the soldiers I command, how could they not be soldiers, slandering a soldier, you’ve just added another charge!" The middle-aged Colonel’s face changed drastically as he heard Chu Feng’s words.
Seeing the reaction of the middle-aged Colonel, Chu Feng was even more certain that the other party was not a soldier.
"Xiao Wang, you go down, let the guard company deal with this matter here." The middle-aged Colonel, unable to expose the driver, immediately ordered.
"Yes, Colonel!" the driver responded to the order, intending to turn around and leave.
But Chu Feng couldn’t possibly let him leave just like that.
"Thinking you can sneak attack and just walk away, you think this is your backyard?" Chu Feng sneered, then took a step forward, electing to go on the offense.
