Building My Guild With A Blank Scroll
Chapter 77: Rumel The Slave

Chapter 77: Rumel The Slave

There was a difference to what a Slaver would call an asset and the other a slave, both being a part of the human race of course. One was what they were known to trade in, and another was a secret which a slaver would end his life to ensure it was kept. These slaves had ranks and in all there were two categories, the high and low slave. As Rumel, being the only name she ever had, was a high slave.

*WHOOSH!

"Did you hear that?" A guard in leather armour, averagely equipped with a spear and dagger said to another as he scanned the rooftops.

"No, I didn’t drink anything girl. I’m so sober for you."

"Eh, are you feeling well?" He turned to look at the other, only to see him leaning on the spear with his eyes glued somewhere. Being so immensed in what he was looking at that he didn’t even notice himself drooling.

Following his gaze, he spotted the figures moving towards the largest of the buildings around and that was when it all made sense.

*WHACK!

"Hey!! Why’d you hit me?!" The other suddenly snapped out of whatever trance he was in, with the help of a smack on the head.

"Get back on duty for heavens sake— think you could ever have the Guildmaster’s women." The guard scowl at the other.

Rubbing the back of his head and mumbling something barely audible, he definitely couldn’t accept it without saying a thing. "You never know, I could win the Guildmaster title soon."

The other flinched for a while, his eyes twitching as the last few words seemed to replay in his mind. His lips parted and for a minute, he tried to position it in a way two achieve the best laugh he’d ever had. "HAHAHAHAAAA!!! What in the heavens did I just hear, are you drunk, stupid or what? Did you just reincarnate— Hahaha! I can’t believe this...I just simply can’t." If not on duty he’d have dropped the the ground and laughed it out better. Yet even the spear was barely holding him up and still.

"You?! Become the Guildmaster. Not even in your wildest dreams could it happen— hah."

’You’ll never know, only the heavens decides...now back to feasting my eyes.’

*THUD!

A faint thud was heard as a figure landed on the rooftop, shrouded in blue clothing all over. If the eyes didn’t prove the figure was feminine then at least the petite frame did verify that.

Slowly making her way to the edge, Rumel’s eyes scanned the area as she searched for something in particular. She needed to find an error or glitch in the matrix as one would call it— as there was always one.

For currently she’d noticed alot already with none fitting her requirements at all. The security was as loose as a poorly fastened knot, while the maids seemed to be too few and beaten in order to blend in.

However, what Rumel’s searching eyes wanted to find was an underground entrance which led all over the residence. Guilds were known to have one including such lower second rate guilds. Though it wouldn’t be a surprise for the Thorns to not have any after all.

Checking the time, she removed her left blue glove and with the storage ring she wore, an hourglass appeared. Seeing the sand had all moved down, she knew her time was up. Thus, a new alternative had to be taken to get to the Guildmaster.

So moving from her current population, she leapt from building to building with her destination being the largest one in the residence. Nearing it, she came to a sudden halt, noticing a group of people also moving, towards her destination.

Without a thought of it, she got closer to have a better look at them and with that she knew what was happening. She had a goal which was the list and the command. As anyone being a part of it would have to be dealt with, while any other disturbances would have to be managed quite differently.

Yet with those people heading to the Guildmaster, it would only make things way easier.

*SWOOSH!

*THUD!

She was now on the rooftop, moving to the edge and keep a good distance and in a crouched position to avoid detection. The group of five, four maids and a woman in a scarlet robe with a veil up her face, had arrived at the building’s entrance. The maids having their heads down dispersed with a bow and headed back wherever they’d came from.

*CREAK–BANG!

Both women didn’t flinch as the doors suddenly flew open with a loud bang since it was kicked. And this did nothing but seemed to bother Rumel a bit as the veiled figure was either quite a confident one or one which wasn’t the average female.

"Hahahaa, you are finally here. Let’s first check out which jewel I’ve gotten this time— haghahaghaa." A chubby, drunken large figure stepped out of the building and approached the woman with a jug of ale in hand.

"Kyaa!" A few meters away, the woman could be seen suddenly charging towards the Guildmaster.

Still on the, rooftop Rumel shook her head slightly while knowing what the outcome would be.

"Huh, Hahah!"The Guildmaster did nothing but laugh as this was the usual scenario, one plotted by him each time.

Coming at him with a dagger, there was no trace of fear in her eyes as hate seemed to replace it.

"I’ll kill you!! I’ll kill you for taking her!!" The blonde damsel cried out loud as she aimed to have her revenge, yet that would only depend on whether she had the skill to do just that.

"Haha, kill who? Meeee?! Hahahaa." His attacker was close and her weapon was closer as it seemed she’d succeed. Yet, one thing was sure and it was the fact that she was dealing with a spiritualist here. And this was one with a fair power level— a Manipulator.

In an instant, his eyes were a bright ash flaming glow and making his move. His left hand went first, knocking the weapon with, the back of his hand. As with the right flowing suit, it moved faster and soon—

*SMACK!

It connected with her face, and sent her flying a distance away. "Haha, the one who’d be getting killed here is your spirit—Gagahaaa."

"I’d die than serve you." She unexpectedly drew out a knife, causing a frown to prop up his face.

"Did the maids hand you that too?" He inquired, quite angered.

"The maids, they work for you?

"Is there supposed to be an answer to that?"

"Back off or I slit it!" She warned fiercely and pushed the weapon towards her neck with her hands barely able to stay stable. As the Guildmaster seemed to notice that also, causing him to break into another round of laughter.

"Hahaha, you can’t. I know your vengeful type, wouldn’t know how to explain it to the dead later on— Hahahaha, soo weak."

"You pig, I hate you! I’ll kill you!"

"You’ll never achieve that buttercup, haha never ever."

"But I will."

"Huh, who’s tha—"

*SWISH!

*CRACK!

*ACK!

*THUD!
