Chapter 48: Why didn’t we send anyone
"Alright, first things first, we are going to be tearing the house down," Aric said and pointed to the house. "When we do, we will be rebuilding it back, but bigger.
Now, the leading team for that is Ron. You can take ten men, including yourself, and get to tearing it down. Wait for me to hand you the blueprint for the best house.
Gunam, you will also take the people, including you, and wait for me to give you information and the blueprint for the bathhouse.
As for you, Lucas, you and the rest will be tilling the soil. We need to start growing the food that we will use here.
If everyone is clear on what they will be doing, I’d like for you all to wait for me. I’ll be back," Aric said and was about to walk away, but then he remembered they didn’t have beds and furniture, and there was no way he would be spending his gold on that again.
"Sorry, there has been a change. I need five other goblins to volunteer themselves from Ron or Gunam’s group. They will be handling furniture. We lack that, and we need to start getting to it," Aric said and left them to make their own arrangements.
He already knew that this set of things he was about to do was going to cost him dearly, but he was already prepared for that.
He met Unara where the spirits were seated and took her aside.
"Unara, I’ll be needing your help and the help of all the spirits to get everything working. If you guys work with me, we will be done with all this today, so please," Aric asked her.
"There’s no need to ask. Your wish is our command," Unara said.
"His wish ain’t my command," Pentharis yelled out.
"Don’t eavesdrop on conversations that have nothing to do with you, you blood idiot," Unara yelled at Pentharis.
"You can’t tell me what to do," Pentharis yelled back, and a quarrel followed. Aric sighed. They hadn’t had a banter in a while. He felt they might have outgrown it, but nope, even the calm Unara got heated up when it was time to banter.
"Seems like they get along very well," Elisa said as she approached Aric from behind.
"They don’t hold any grudges or hate each other, to be honest. It’s just like they want to have all these arguments; it’s in their genes."
"Well, it’s fun to watch," she said.
"Yeah, the banters are quite interesting, but not when you are trying to pass vital information and one of them keeps kicking things off," Aric said and placed his palm on his face with a tired expression.
"Well, that’s what makes them who they are. Killing their innate personality would be cruel and painful. How about this—why not join them in this argument? Be a part of it and throw a few insults here and there.
That way, you can see what they see while they do it," Elisa said.
"You know, that’s a good idea. Doesn’t make sense, but it is a good idea," he said and walked toward the spirits. "Hey, Pentharis, shut the hell up. Unara is your boss," Aric yelled at Pentharis.
The spirits all stopped arguing and stared at Aric for an awkward moment.
"Of course, you are going to take her side. Turn against men because of some woman, you crazy simp," Pentharis attacked Aric.
"Don’t call master a simp. At least he doesn’t go around acting like he has a beef with the world like you do," Septa shot back at Pentharis, and the whole thing turned into a full argument.
Everyone watched as they argued—the goblins, Aric, and Elisa. They kept going for a few minutes until they finally stopped.
"That was actually fun," Aric turned to Elisa and said.
"You never know until you try," she responded.
"True, but now I have to get to work," Aric said.
The first thing on his mind was the blueprint for what was going to be the main house. He searched through the system interface and came across a small manor that would definitely fit the job.
He paid for the blueprints with 3,000 gold and read the contents to see if it was really good.
[Grand Entrance Hall – A wide entrance with a double door leading inside.
Meeting Hall – A large central hall, rectangular in shape, with a high ceiling. There’s a fireplace at one end and possibly an indoor balcony on the second floor overlooking it.
Kitchen – A separate room connected to the meeting hall, with a chimney for cooking.
Storage Room/Pantry – Next to the kitchen for easy access.
Guest Room – A small private room near the meeting hall.
Side Entrance – A smaller exit leading outside, possibly to a courtyard.
2nd Floor
Master Bedroom – The largest room, with access to a private balcony or small outdoor space.
Two Additional Bedrooms – Located near the master bedroom, slightly smaller but comfortable.
Library/Study Room – A separate room for quiet work, positioned near the staircase.]
Aric stopped reading the contents and details halfway through. It looked good enough to work with, so he was going to work with that. Now, the next was the bathhouse before the farm.

Inside the manor of the Baron of Ravenhold, the Baron sat on a chair in the parlour, his eyes watching the fire in the fireplace burn, while a gold-plated wine cup was in his hand.
He twirled the wine around and around. He looked lost in thought, but he could not place his finger on what he was thinking about.
The door of his house opened, and a guard led in Robert. He walked in and went into the parlour immediately to sit down.
"Robert, tell me, why didn’t we send any men to check the spiritual spike that happened a day ago? Do you want the king to get to it first?" Baron Fredrick asked with a slightly pissed off expression.
