Chapter 41: The Seven Great spirits part 1
Aric stood up. He took another glance at the dust before turning away. The Spirit Cult—this was the first time he had heard of them, and he saw the sign, the same sign Terra had shown him.
’I have to find out what I can about the Spirit Cult,’ Aric thought.
They left the scene, leaving behind the bodies of the men whose existence had been erased.
"I have a question. How come we didn’t forget about their existence? All of us still remember those men and what happened to them," Deca suddenly asked. Her words made all of them pause and think about it. What really made them not forget?
"Sigh, I want to ask Ariel about the Spirit Cult as fast as I possibly can. We should head back," Aric said.
"What about the food that got the goblins so hyped up?" Pentharis asked.
"I’ll find a way. I can’t waste any time looking for what to hunt," Aric said.
"You don’t have to worry about that. I’ve already spotted a wild hog," Quadoris said.
"Wait, what? How?" Aric asked.
"I can sense my surroundings as long as I am on earth," Quadoris said.
"Oh, I see. Well, how far is it?" Aric asked.
"Within my reach, but that’s one. There’s another further than that as well. I think two will be enough, right?" he asked.
"Yeah, two will be enough," Aric said.
"Alright, then Pentharis, come with me. We’ll get the two and head back too. Master, you can go back and make preparations," Quadoris said.
"Hey, who said you could boss me around when you wanted?" Pentharis asked Quadoris.
"Just go with him already," Unara said. It was as though all of them had accepted her as leader. Pentharis shut up and followed Quadoris deeper into the forest.
"The rest of us should help the goblins build. We might finish it today if we put in our input," Unara said, and they all agreed.
"Unara, before we head back, please wait. Let me take a look at something. I was supposed to do it before, but I forgot. This battle just made me remember," Aric said.
Unara nodded and stood in place. Aric used Appraisal on her to get a look at her stats.

Her mana had been replaced with spirit energy, but that was not the issue. It was the fact that it was so high, and so was her health, and in fact, every other attribute.
This was simply stunning. They had physical strength that rivaled Ariel and then had just as much health and mana.
"Alright, I’ve seen what I wanted to. Thank you. We should head back now and wait for the others," Aric said.
They headed back to camp, and as they arrived, Aric was stunned. He stood at the gate, staring at the progress the goblins had made on the building.
He didn’t expect them to have come this far, not even in the slightest. He didn’t expect them to have come this far. Even the spirits stood at the gate, stunned.
They had done all the work all the way to the top, and all that was left was the roofing. After that, the building would ultimately be done.
"Was it supposed to be that fast?" Octa whispered the question to Unara. Unara glanced at Aric and saw his shocked face.
"I don’t think it was supposed to be that fast," she said.
Ariel, who was monitoring the progress, spotted Aric and immediately ran to him.
"You’re back? Don’t see any hunts with you," she said.
"Yeah, Pentharis and Quadoris are on that. We ran into some issues, and the rest of us decided to come back and let them do the hunting.
Now to a different topic—how? How did they come this far so fast?" Aric asked.
"Oh, the building? It came as a shock to me as well. They moved at an incredible pace. It seems Ron unlocked a carpenter-related skill suddenly, and his speed in cutting and preparing the planks was extremely fast.
He took the task all by himself, and he was absorbed in keeping up. With that, all the goblins worked on building, and the house came up very fast," Ariel explained.
"I see. I’ll talk to Ron later to learn about his skill. Unara, you guys should help them finish up before Pentharis and Quadoris are back," Aric said.
They didn’t banter and simply walked inside, while Aric let out a victorious sigh.
"Ariel, I need to talk to you about something," Aric said.
"What’s that?" she asked.
Aric bent down to the ground. He picked up a small stick and drew a circle on the ground with a triangle inside.
"Have you ever seen this?" he asked.
"Where did you see that? That’s the Spirit Cult sign," Ariel responded.
"So you do know them. I think we had a run-in with one of them today. We survived, though," he said.
"You ran into a Spirit Cultist and survived? That sounds almost impossible," she said.
"We got lucky, I guess," Aric said.
He looked down at the sign and then at Ariel. "Please tell me everything you know about the cult, every detail involved with them," Aric said.
"Alright, but for you to know why they exist, you need to know about the great spirits that existed long before them in our world.
There were seven great spirits, beings that walked the world long before man—terrifying and extremely powerful.
The first was the World Spirit. Her name was forgotten a long time ago. She embodied the will of the world itself, governing nature, land, and balance, but all that changed along the line.
The second great spirit was the Abyssal Spirit, Nyx. She ruled over darkness, void, and the unknown. Then there was the Infernal Spirit, Ignis. He was the embodiment of fire and destruction.
There was also the Spirit of the Ocean, Water, and Tides—Argir. She was known as the most violent to exist."
