Chapter 121: The Silver Horned Wolves part 3
The eyes of the alpha shot open, and a sudden pressure filled the entire cave, pressing down on all of them, though her eyes only stayed on Aric.
"A duel you say? Do you believe that you have the strength to defeat me in combat and make me change my mind?" she asked, this time moving her mouth as she spoke.
"Aric what are you doing, she is the leader of this pack, her strength isn’t something you can easily deal with," Ariel said.
"I can handle it fine," Aric said with confidence.
"Hmm, you seem confident, and because of that, I will offer you a handicap," she said, and then immediately, her body began to transform, changing until she took a human form.
She floated in the air as her beautiful fur turned into silver grey hair, flowing all the way to her knee. A gown of grey fur covered her entire body.
Aric couldn’t take his eyes off her for even a second, looking at her pearl white skin and beautiful body, her magnificent curves and all.
She was built to pull attention, and she did it easily. She landed on the ground with grace and slowly opened her eyes, looking at the stunned faces of all of them.
"In this form, I am unable to pull out my true strength. If you manage to force me to transform back to fight you, then you win," she said.
"I’m sure I could either," Aric said in a slightly cocky tone, and then he tried to use appraisal on her, but something immediately blocked it. She smirked when she noticed what he tried to do.
"The fight will start as soon as we leave the entrance of the cave. I will not hold back, so be prepared," she said.
Aric nodded and pulled out his sword. He turned to leave the cave, but Pentharis blocked him. "Master, I’m basically your strength, so why not fight with me?" Pentharis asked.
"You might be my spirit, but I don’t think this is what this battle entails. I have to do it myself," he responded.
The alpha smiled when she saw this. She was impressed at the fact that he wanted to do it himself, though she found it extremely dumb. After all, in a battle, he ought to use all his strength.
Aric ran out of the cave at top speed. He knew this was about to be a terrifying battle. If she was strong enough to block his appraisal, then she was definitely a terrifying opponent.
He got into his stance and got ready for when she would attack, but what followed was not her attacking. It was a loud crackle of thunder and a flash of silver lightning, and he saw himself flying through the air.
He had managed to block the attack at the last moment, but the force still sent him flying through the air and slamming into trees until he hit the ground and rolled for a few meters.
He got up immediately and began healing himself as fast as he could.
"You know healing magic? This is bound to be fun," he heard the voice of the alpha behind him. He turned, but what met him was her feet to his face. His body shot through the air, he slammed into a tree and shattered the tree.
He had barely hit the ground, she already saw her coming. He tapped his hands on the ground and roots shot out of the ground, surrounding her from all angles.
She spun mid-air, her feet and fists smashed into the roots and shattered them, but they grew back immediately and wrapped around her.
Aric got to his feet and carried his sword again. He tried to use the roots to keep use stable, but suddenly, a massive charge of lightning exploded from her and destroyed the roots. She landed on the ground and shot at him again.
She kicked with her full strength. Aric used his sword to block her attack.
BAM
The collision was loud and powerful. Aric felt a powerful shock run through his body, his arms trembled, but there was a smile on his face. He successfully blocked the attack.
Roots shot out of the ground and immediately grabbed her, throwing her back. He also leaped back to reset again.
’She is tougher than I expected. She said this form was supposed to be her weaker form, yet she is this tremendously powerful,’ Aric thought.
"This half-elf is really something. I thought he would be all talk, but it seems he has something to back himself up. But still, I doubt it will be enough," the alpha thought.
Aric healed himself again after retreating. He needed to keep himself at top shape to survive this. He raised his hands and boulders shot out of the ground. The boulders shot through the air toward the alpha.
She smiled and leaped into the air, dodging them, but then they changed direction and moved toward her.
"Ohh? I see," she said. The first boulder came and she twisted her body in an unusual way, dodging it, and immediately as the boulder passed her, she stepped on it and pushed herself down as fast as she could.
She shot down like an arrow, flipped in the air and dodged the next boulder, using it to go faster again. Her speed rapidly increased with every boulder.
She landed on the ground with a bang and charged at him faster than he could make the boulders chase her. Her hands wrapped in lightning, taking the shape of a blade.
"Shit," Aric cursed. He made earth spikes shoot out of the ground in the shape of a wall, but she jumped over it with ease, but was shocked to see the sinister smile on his face.
Aric snapped his finger and several spikes shot out of the ground toward her. With their numbers, it would be immensely hard for her to evade it, but rather than dread, she smirked.
