Chapter 116: Elise’s Schemes [2]

Azrael clenched his fists tighter his nails dug into his palms.

For once in his life, there was something he couldn’t achieve. Something that all his money couldn’t buy, and someone all his riches couldn’t blind.

Azrael snickered at himself. His thoughts weren’t making sense. He sounded like Knox pushed him away because he didn’t need those things.

’He did not indeed. His family’s wealth is old money. He walked away because he was f*cking scared of me, of my family. Then, he went on saying he wouldn’t mind if our son spent time with me! Pretty bastard, you don’t make sense at all,’ Azrael thought inwardly.

His head suddenly felt heavy. He grabbed the glass again and pushed it to the bartender, asking for a refill.

The fly beside him kept buzzing, and it was infuriating him big time.

His hand gripped tightly on the thin stem of the wine glass. Veins crept on the back of his hand and his knuckles tightened and turned almost white until the thin glass broke in his palm.

The sound of the glass crashing on the counter cut the blabbering mouth of the woman beside him, and a few gasps came from the people nearby.

"Oh my god, Azi! Are you okay?!" Elise stood and asked hysterically. She shouted at the bartender, "Get a towel, quick!"

Blood oozed from Azrael’s palm. It trickled down to his wrist and stained his cuff. Staring at his bloodied hands, memories flashed on his head and he chuckled bitterly. That may be the reason why Knox was afraid of him.

He completely forgot, but now that he slowly recalled them, in Knox’s eyes, he might have appeared as some cruel, violent, merciless, murderer.

Elise froze upon hearing that bitter laugh. Her pupils shook from the emotion she witnessed in Azrael’s eyes.

Intense pain.

Yet something told her it wasn’t because of the broken shards of glass that stuck on his palm, but for another reason.

Azrael even clenched his hand tighter and did not even groan or wince from the pain. Elise was horrified. She quickly snatched his hand and forcefully opened his palm while yelling, "What do you think you’re doing?!"

Her plan would go awry if Azrael fainted from blood loss. She needed to stop him. Fortunately, the bartender returned with a towel and a first aid kit.

Azrael’s grip loosened. Elise sighed in relief and immediately treated his wound. She momentarily paused after seeing a scar on his right palm. She looked at the man pitifully and continued treating his hands.

The bartender offered to bring Azrael upstairs where the suites were located.

Elise was confused at first. Why would they even need the bartender’s help? Only when Azrael’s hand slipped on her hold did she notice him slumped on the counter, unconscious.

She panicked and shook his shoulders, thinking that Azrael must have fainted because of the wound. Then, she remembered what she did.

The concerned smile turned into a satisfied one. She turned to the bartender and sweetly asked, "Can you ask someone to help me carry him? He seemed to have fainted from the pain."

The bartender quickly nodded as if he didn’t know the real reason, and just called out a bouncer. The bouncer easily took Azrael and slung him to his shoulder, and then Elise followed them to the elevator.

She pressed the fifth floor where she reserved the room, and basked in excitement while staring at Azrael’s dangling sweaty head which reeked of alcohol. So, as soon as the bouncer laid him on the bed and left, Elise took off his clothes and ogled at his half-naked body for a few minutes.

She even took a few shots of his naked body, cutting off his head from the picture.

Then, she started wiping him off first and threw away his bloodied shirt somewhere. She caressed his face and whispered against his lips, "Azi~ won’t you wake up?"

The pill she slipped in his drink was a rut inducer. It wasn’t potent, but it could work as a strong aphrodisiac to an alpha.

Azrael remained still. His forehead was creasing and it seemed like he was stirring from his sleep. Elise’s face brightened. She quickly removed her clothes, sat atop Azrael with her legs striding on his sides, and finally released her intense pheromones.

She planned to get pregnant by him, that way, he could never push her away again.

When Azrael groaned and clutched her legs tightly, Elise rejoiced. Her plans were coming to fruition.

Azrael’s eyes fluttered open slightly. A strong scent permeated his nose. It made him dizzy and his stomach churned. His vision remained blurry and unfocused, but he could feel the weight on top of him.

His dull senses were failing him to recognize the scent circulating him. He felt his body reacting tremendously, so there was only one scent he could think of. One that he misses so badly.

"...Knox..." Azrael faintly murmured. Though from the silence that dwelled within that room, his lowered voice was still heard.

Elise froze.

Her alluring smile and anticipating look disappeared. Pain flickered in her eyes, then it was replaced with hatred directed to that person’s name.

Even though she was aware that Azrael was seeing someone instead of her, she bit her lower lip and continued to run her fingers on his bare chest and planted kisses on his face and neck.

She moaned when she felt something rose and poked her legs.

She lifted her hips a bit and fumbled with Azrael’s belt. Her movement rushed and excited. Her heart was palpitating from the anticipation, and her face blushed with embarrassment, yet she showed no shame or hesitation in molesting a drunk and drugged person.

Pop!

The lock of Azrael’s pants was unhinged finally, but before Elise could dunk her hand to grasp what was awake inside, her hair was mercilessly pulled from the back. She screamed in pain, eyes watering from the strong pull.

Azrael sat up, groggily and weakly, without letting go of the chunk of hair he held. His eyes were drowsy and dropping, yet there was distinct anger and disgust in them.

"What...are you...!" his eyes widened in shock when they caught sight of his naked body and his pants already unbuttoned. Finally, he could make sense of what was the smell surrounding him.

It was vomit-inducing.

Why did he even think that it belonged to Knox? He cursed his own body for reacting. He blamed his alpha’s instincts and the vile woman before him.

That overly sweet smell of vanilla sickened him.

"Hic...Azi, let go...you’re hurting me!" Elise begged and cried.

How dare the woman complain about pain when she was shamelessly performing a crime?! Azrael gritted his teeth. His eyes blazed with fury, and he hurled the woman out of the bed. Elise rolled to the floor, shoulders hitting first, and falling flatly on her face.

She lost consciousness after that.
