Chapter 146: 105 Jackals of the same hill_4
Isn’t she just trying to get Luna Miller out of the country smoothly? In fact, Atlas Hallow wasn’t too keen on having Luna in the country either.
Being tangled with such a woman is quite troublesome because she’s Charlotte Miller’s sister, almost registered with him, so her identity is too sensitive. Atlas hopes Charlotte won’t be troubled by it. He figured he could handle such a small matter himself.
"As a token of my gratitude, I’ll accompany you for lunch today," Charlotte laughed. Her watery eyes curved like crescent moons.
Atlas couldn’t help but lower his head and gently touch her lips: "You’re getting something for nothing and still playing innocent..."
"Let’s go for a buffet. I love those unlimited ones. I’m really starving," Charlotte loved buffets because she could continuously pick what she fancied to eat.
"Sure, as long as you like it." A smile spread across Atlas Hallow’s face, making Charlotte’s heart almost melt. When this man was gentle, his impact was astonishing, like a high-voltage electric shock.
Who said female beauty causes trouble? If it’s an attractive enough man, he can also incite conflict among women. If Luna isn’t sent away, there might indeed be a fight.
On tiptoe, her arms wrapped around Atlas’s impossibly broad shoulders, her flower-like lips lightly kissed Atlas’s thin lips: "Really?"
Can she really do whatever she likes? Can she really be this willful?
"Really..." The lips before him bloomed like flower petals, as soft as velvet, and sweeter than honey. Once touched, it made people reluctant to let go. Atlas wrapped his arms around Charlotte’s waist, lifting her entirely off the ground, propping her against the glass window.
"Hmm... I’m... hungry..." She shouldn’t have ignited this fire in him, but she couldn’t help it. Her mouth was filled with his overwhelming masculine scent, almost making her breathless.
She was hungry, and he was hungry too, each in different ways. However, seeing her so obedient made him reluctant to tease her further. He decided to let her fill her stomach first.
Atlas asked Daniel Parker to book what was said to be the best spot, as he never ate buffets. Today was an exception, accompanying this little girl.
As soon as they entered the restaurant, they were greeted by a tall tower of lobsters, seven layers of radiant red lobsters. Charlotte’s eyes lit up: "This place isn’t cheap; I’ve been here twice. To justify the price, you have to eat a lot of lobster! They say these Boston lobsters arrive by plane every morning and go through six processes of sorting, stringing, and splitting before they enter the restaurant." She whispered as if afraid others might hear, glancing around furtively.
"This is too cold; don’t eat too much of it," Atlas frowned. Are lobsters that delicious? Seeing her so excited, he didn’t want to spoil her mood.
"Of course, I’ll eat something else. Don’t worry," Charlotte couldn’t help patting Atlas’s shoulder as a promise.
First, she took two lobsters as a start.
One must commend Daniel Parker for securing the best spot, by the window, but the view outside was nothing but gray now.
She picked up the lobster, extracted the meat, and began eating. It was indeed delicious. Although Boston lobster meat was a bit firm, it was quite chewy, and accompanied by a sip of hot thick soup, life felt absolutely perfect.
After just a few bites, she spotted a familiar figure—wasn’t that the stiletto beauty?
Charlotte had a vivid impression of her. Her name was definitely Annie Gray.
Today, she dressed a bit more ladylike, in a smoke-gray wool dress and a dark purple trench coat, still wearing black stilettos. Her not-so-long hair was beautifully curled, likely styled, and she wore subtle makeup with a shade of mauve lipstick, looking exquisite and refined.
"Atlas Hallow, isn’t that President Shaw’s secretary? Could President Shaw be dining here too? Should we invite them to join us?" Speaking while eating the lobster meat, her gaze fixed on Annie. Indeed, she was an attractive lady.
"Never mind them..." Atlas took that plate of lobster from in front of her, elegantly using knife and fork to extract the lobster meat for her, then pushed it back to Charlotte.
"Got it. By the way, you spent seven hundred per person plus a fifteen percent service fee, are you only going to have that bowl of noodles?" Charlotte looked at the perfectly extracted lobster meat and smiled ingratiatingly, a bit puzzled by the bowl of noodle soup before Atlas.
