Chapter 117: 100 The Most Chaotic Day_4
Charlotte’s sister got into a car accident, and at the same time, she found out that her newlywed husband was at the hospital with a suicidal woman.
That woman must have an unusual past with him because Atlas Hallow signed his name in the family section.
Atlas Hallow is not a man with a spontaneous heart, would he really be at a hospital with a woman for no reason?
Besides the smell of disinfectant, there was a heavy scent of blood in the air...
Charlotte stood at the door of the operating room waiting for the nurse to bring her sister out, but her mind started to drift endlessly.
She was unsure how intimate that woman and Atlas Hallow were, the only thing she was certain of was that the man was indeed Atlas. The nurse mentioned a particularly handsome man, his name was Atlas Hallow, and she saw the car Atlas usually drove when she arrived at the hospital. That alone explained everything.
"Miss, please move aside, move aside..." Charlotte was so lost that she didn’t realize she was blocking the door of the operating room until she urgently heard the nurse’s prompting and moved away quickly.
Two nurses pushed a white stretcher out of the operating room, another nurse still held a bag of blood, Charlotte glanced over, too scared to speak.
The doctor spoke of spleen rupture and fracture, which were internal injuries covered by a white thin blanket, but the other injuries were minor ones in the doctor’s words, yet they were already shocking to Charlotte.
Luna Miller’s whole face was swollen, black and blue in patches, her left cheek and forehead had extensive abrasions, and some small wounds on her cheek were sewn up, with only two or three stitches in a few places that weren’t very long, but it looked like her face was disfigured.
In Luna’s eyes, her beauty was even heavier than life, and now her appearance was truly unbearable to look at.
Freya Morgon’s complexion was as pale as Charlotte’s, she should have stopped Luna Miller but instead let her drive out in a fit of rage, it was all her fault.
But could she have stopped her?
When Luna becomes willful, she’s really unstoppable, luckily, she managed to save her life.
The surgeries were all done, the facial injuries looked frightening but they should recover with time, just that they didn’t know how Luna would react when she woke up.
"She still needs to stay in the monitoring room for a couple of days, so you don’t have to stay here, just leave a phone number that can be reached at any time." The last person to come out of the operating room was probably the surgeon’s assistant, looking rather young while removing blood-stained gloves, giving instructions.
Charlotte took the elevator to leave because her mom said staying there wouldn’t help, staying in the hospital for a day had already made her physically and mentally exhausted, so she went home to rest, but she left both her and another person’s phone numbers, in case something urgent came up and they couldn’t get through.
It was time to rest well, tomorrow she still had to go to the police station to mediate with that family, the sky outside was already dark, she dragged her heavy pace towards the hospital door step by step.
She didn’t know how impulsive she was, impulsive enough to want to see what Atlas Hallow was doing now, but restrained herself.
Shouldn’t she give him all her trust?
That’s the most basic thing; he perhaps didn’t tell her to prevent her from guessing blindly, so she just acted like she hadn’t heard anything today.
But subconsciously, she headed toward the parking lot, subconsciously to the spot where she could see his car, gave a glance, sure enough, that black car was still parked there, under the moonlight, radiating cold light.
Returning to her apartment, she filled a bathtub with hot water and submerged herself completely in it, the warm water washed over her limbs, she crouched down slowly beneath, sinking herself entirely, her black hair floating like dense seaweed, the shimmering water reflecting her snow-like skin, only when she merged herself into the water would her tears leave no trace.
It was only then Charlotte started to become aware, was she already being attracted by Atlas Hallow, so much that she cared so intensely?
She didn’t know how long she soaked, soaked until her hands and feet were somewhat wrinkled, before she languidly climbed out of the bathtub, donned her robe, dried her hair and returned to the bedroom when she heard her phone ringing.
