Chapter 100: 098 Taking the wife to the nightclub?

"You hate her, I hate her too, we can make her disappear from Brother Hallow’s life together." When Ava Walker uttered these last words, Hailey Hill was completely stunned, tense and shocked. This woman’s mind was truly terrifying. She was elegant and dazzlingly beautiful all over, yet the words coming out of her mouth were bone-chilling.

However, she thought the same way, only she hadn’t said it out loud, and Ava had voiced the secret buried deep in her heart. She wanted Charlotte Miller to die, to go down to Inferno...

There is rarely friendship between women, but they can easily form alliances when they have a common enemy.

Ava thought she knew a lot, but in truth, Hailey still had many things hidden from her, secrets she would take to the grave. What Ava believed she knew was merely the tip of the iceberg.

While the two women reached a silent consensus, Charlotte Miller was unaware that danger was already approaching her, just as the scent of conspiracy spreads like a virus.

"Did Ethan leave?" It was quiet outside, and knowing Ethan Baird’s nature, he wouldn’t converse with Atlas Hallow for too long. So, when Charlotte peeked out through a crack in the resting room door, she didn’t see Ethan Baird.

"Daring to come out now?" Atlas Hallow was watching the fluctuating data on the computer screen, beckoning with his finger towards the direction of the resting room without turning his head, aware she was peeking with her little head from there.

Charlotte opened the door of the resting room and walked out. His height must be at least 1.86 meters, so wearing Atlas Hallow’s shirt turned it directly into a dress.

When Charlotte approached his desk, he pulled her into his arms, sitting her on his lap to look at the waves of data on the computer screen.

"Any insights?" Atlas Hallow had already agreed to let Charlotte join the entire New Energy City project. Although he really disliked Charlotte’s interaction with Ethan Baird, he could now confirm one point: there was indeed no romantic involvement between them.

Letting her enter his world wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Charlotte should see what kind of man she married, so he had already announced this appointment decision on the company’s internal network.

A single stone stirred up a thousand waves, making Charlotte once again the focus of everyone’s attention.

The clear, translucent gaze landed on the computer screen, observing the changes in those numbers. Actually, every minor change in data represented the existence of facts.

She liked to investigate the nature of things through data.

"Even if the economic data of the past two years looks good, I’m not optimistic myself." Charlotte looked at those curves and spoke seriously.

It was rare for Atlas Hallow to discuss work with her, which made Charlotte a little excited, as if he could see her most shining aspect—not just her appearance.

"Why?" Atlas Hallow’s gaze overlapped with the computer; the few pieces of data she was looking at were exactly what he cared about.

"Leverage is now king in the industry, and that’s not a good thing. Too many people control certain listed companies, then insert their industries into them regardless of maturity, changing the main industry concept of the original company. They use leverage to raise more money from capital markets to merge and integrate, quickly achieving profits to continue financing, and then merge again. This cycle will eventually lead to an avalanche because it exceeds the capital load." Charlotte pointed to two data points on the computer: "This is definitely not correct, you see there is already a deviation."

Charlotte’s view wasn’t much different from his, and Atlas Hallow looked into her small face and spoke in a low voice, "So you think my project financing is also dangerous?"

Sitting on his lap discussing serious matters was apparently a bit inappropriate, so Charlotte struggled and stood up, with Atlas Hallow letting her.

"Therefore, I need to investigate your project. My financing is different from theirs. You should understand that I can find a lot of funding right now, but why Currency City grows rapidly is because I ensure the safety of investors’ funds to the maximum. In my hands, I have never made a losing investment." Charlotte smiled confidently, standing not too far from Atlas Hallow, "President Hallow, after I complete the investigation and assessment and make a feasibility report, if I find your project unsuitable, then I won’t work for you either."
