Chapter 65: Myth?
Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Myth?
Emily: "..." Wow!
George: "..." Am I so trashy?
George was furious and pointed at Olivia with an angry expression,
"You! How could you say something like that to me?"
Olivia smiled widely and pointed her mouth,
"With this."
Aurora: "..." My family is indeed a villainous family.
However, Olivia had changed and wasn’t using her white lotus persona to frame others. The one thing that remained was...Olivia’s poisonous tongue.
Margret clenched her fist and swung it, hoping to land it on Olivia’s face.
But just before the punch could land on Olivia, Theodore held Margret’s hand and said coldly,
"Don’t you dare touch my sister?"
Margret struggled to free her hand from Theodore’s hand.
Theodore released his grip, causing Margret to stumble back a few steps.
Before anyone could even think, Margret fell on the floor and fainted.
"Mom!" George was the first person to come out of his trance and rushed toward Margret.
George panicked as he knelt beside Margret, shaking her shoulders. "Mom! Wake up! Don’t scare me like this!"
Margret didn’t move. Her eyes were closed, and her face was pale.
The ward fell into silence for a moment.
Theodore was a bit flustered and said, "I...I didn’t mean to..."
"Shut up! Shut the f*ck up! Because of you, my mother fainted! She was just fighting on my behalf!
Who wouldn’t when they get to know that her daughter-in-law is cheating on her son? My mother just loves me too much and hence she confronted Emily.
Emily, don’t you have an ounce of shame? You have caused a senior citizen to faint using your new lover? I thought you were different, but you are the same as others."
Emily’s face turned pale and her stomach started to ache a bit.
She subconsciously covered her stomach.
Olivia who was beside her couldn’t help but pat Emily’s back and tried to soothe her.
George however sneered,
"What? Are you going to put up the act again? The same ’oh my stomach is aching please don’t tell me the truth’ action!"
He then pointed at Emily’s baby bump and shouted,
"You have become fat! Do you understand? Fat people are healthy! Don’t think I can’t see! You are perfectly fine, you are just pretending to be ill!
My mother was right! Women in pregnancy only know how to throw tantrums. They just don’t want to move and hence make up lies like pain in the stomach, in the back, etc.
It’s all a lie! Oh! Are you crying now? Cry then. Go ahead! What were you expecting when you sent me the divorce paper?
I would chase after you like I did before. Heh! I was blinded by love then! I should have listened to my mother then.
You only miscarried! It was not a big deal at all! So what you lost your father? Once you get married you shouldn’t be thinking about your father in the first place!"
Emily’s eyes watered. She wanted to shout at George and slap him for his audacity to say such stuffs, but
Emily’s hands trembled as she clutched her stomach. Her breath hitched, and tears pooled in her eyes, but before she could say anything, Olivia stepped forward, her face dark with fury.
"You..." Olivia’s voice was low, but it sent chills down everyone’s spine. "You absolute piece of trash."
George scoffed, crossing his arms.
"Oh, here we go again. Another woman throwing a tantrum." He sneered at Emily.
"Crying already? Typical. Women are so weak. Do you think tears will fix anything? You’re just proving me right. Emotional, dramatic, and completely useless!"
Emily flinched, her nails digging into her palm.
Olivia let out a sharp laugh.
"Wow. And to think you were married to Emily? What a joke! No wonder she left you."
George glared at Olivia.
"Left me? Ha! She was nothing without me! I provided for her! I gave her a home! And what did she do?
She ran away like a coward! Women should be grateful when a man takes care of them, but no, she had to act like she was some kind of princess!"
Emily’s breath grew heavier. "I—"
Mary who was silently watching everything stood up and calmly said,
"Hey, mister turn toward here."
George looked at Mary with an arrogant face and asked,
"What do you want-"
Before he could continue, a sound resonated.
Slap.
Mary had slapped George.
George’s head snapped to the side, his cheek burning from the slap. His eyes widened in shock.
"You—You hit me?!" he shouted, holding his cheek.
Mary cracked her knuckles and grinned.
"Oh? Was that too much? My bad, I should’ve hit harder."
Margret who had fainted till now suddenly woke up and shouted at Mary,
"You b*tch! How dare you slap my son!"
She rushed toward Mary to slap her, but Theodore stood protectively in front of Mary.
"I dare to hit him because he deserved to be hit," Mary said calmly.
She then turned toward George and with a huge grin on her face, she asked,
"Princess? Mr. George, tell me, how much have you scarficied for Emily till now? Oh, no wait, trash like you will only find fault in everything.
Did you provide for her? Good for you cause the baby she is carrying is yours to begin with. And the pain women suffer during pregnancy is all a myth?
Do you know how much pain a woman goes through when she has a baby? Do you even know anything about it?
No, you don’t! Because you’re just a selfish jerk who only cares about himself! You are the type of person who can’t even bear the pain of a period stimulator and claim period pain to be a myth."
George scoffed, rubbing his cheek. "Oh, please. Women just love to complain. My mom never made a fuss when she had me!"
Mary rolled her eyes. "Yeah? And look how you turned out! Maybe she should’ve complained more!"
Theodore smirked at that, and Olivia let out a loud laugh.
"Olivia go and show Emily to a gynecologist."
Margret pointed a finger at Mary and shouted,
"Emily won’t go anywhere! She has to answer my son first!"
Saying so she blocked Emily’s path.
Olivia narrowed her eyes. "Move."
Margret crossed her arms. "And if I don’t?"
Mary cracked her knuckles again. "Then I’ll make you."
Margret flinched but stood her ground. "Emily has to explain herself first! She betrayed my son!"
Emily, still holding her stomach, took a deep breath. "Margret, I don’t owe you or George anything. Our marriage is over. I already sent the divorce papers."
George scoffed. "Yeah? Well, I didn’t sign them! So guess what? You’re still my wife!"
Olivia rolled her eyes. "Wow, congratulations. You just proved you’re not only trash but also delusional."
George clenched his fists. "Shut up! You always have something to say!"
"Of course," Olivia smirked. "Unlike you, I actually have a brain."
Margret turned to Emily.
"You think you can just leave my son? You think you can take his baby and walk away?!"
Emily’s hands shook, but before she could answer, Mary stepped forward.
"Margret, let me make something very clear." Mary’s voice was sharp.
"Emily is not your property. She’s not George’s servant. And she sure as hell doesn’t need to answer to you."
Margret gasped. "How dare—"
Mary held up a hand.
"No, you listen. Your son lost his wife because he treated her like garbage. Now, move, or I swear I’ll move you myself."
Margret full of anger, pointed a shaky finger at Mary.
"You—You have no right to talk to my son like that! He’s a good man!"
Mary crossed her arms.
"A good man? A good man wouldn’t tell his pregnant wife that her pain is fake. A good man wouldn’t throw a tantrum because his ex-wife left him.
A good man wouldn’t act like a spoiled brat just because he lost control over someone else’s life!"
George’s face turned red. "Shut up!"
Mary smirked. "Oh? Hit a nerve, did I?"
George clenched his fists, but before he could do anything, Theodore stepped forward.
His cold eyes locked onto George, and his voice was like ice.
"Try it. I dare you."
Margret’s face twisted in anger, but she didn’t say anything.
She looked around, hoping someone would back her up, but no one did.
Even George looked unsure now.
Mary crossed her arms. "Move, Margret. Last warning."
Margret gritted her teeth but still refused to move. "You all are bullying us! My poor son—"
"Poor son?" Olivia laughed. "Oh, please. The only thing poor about him is his brain."
George’s face turned red. "Shut up."
Mary sighed. "Enough talking."
Before anyone could react, Mary grabbed Margret’s arm and pulled her to the side like she was nothing.
Margret stumbled, almost falling again.
"There. Problem solved," Mary said with a smirk.
Margret gasped. "Y-You—"
Emily didn’t wait. Holding her stomach, she quickly walked toward the door with Olivia and Theodore beside her.
George stomped his foot like a child. "Emily! If you leave now, don’t ever come back!"
