Chapter 274: Chapter 274: Blake Hensley

"She probably practiced at home," said another. "This isn’t fair! We want a rematch!"

But Aurora didn’t panic.

She stayed calm and stood up. "I didn’t cheat," she said clearly. "If anyone wants, I can explain every line of my code."

The room went silent.

A few students crossed their arms and challenged her. "Then go ahead. Explain the logic."

Aurora nodded and walked over to the projector. She started explaining her project, step by step. She didn’t just describe what she had written—she explained why she wrote it, how it worked, and what each part of the code was supposed to do.

Some students even tried to interrupt her and ask random questions to catch her off guard. But Aurora answered everything without a pause. It was like she had the whole project inside her head from the very start.

By the time she finished, the room was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop.

Even the students who doubted her were now staring at her with wide eyes.

One of the judges, who had been quietly writing on his clipboard, looked up at Aurora with shining eyes. He was clearly impressed.

But Diana wasn’t done.

She stood up again and shouted, "She’s lying! She probably made a full presentation at home and memorized it! That’s why she’s explaining it so well!"

Aurora finally chuckled.

"If that’s what you think," she said, "then how about this—I’ll do all twenty projects right now. Give me two hours, a fresh laptop, and I’ll write the code for each of your topics."

Everyone gasped.

Some students looked at her like she had gone crazy.

"That’s impossible!" someone said. "You’re being too arrogant!"

"Even if you had four hands, there’s no way you could finish twenty projects!"

But Aurora just smiled. "I can do it."

The judge who had been watching her with interest raised his hand. "Bring her a new laptop," he said.

Soon, someone placed a clean laptop in front of Aurora. No files. No saved work. Nothing. Just a blank screen.

Aurora cracked her fingers and got to work.

At first, nobody understood what she was doing. Her fingers were flying across the keyboard, and lines of code were filling the screen. But the code didn’t look like it was solving any of their projects.

"It’s meaningless," someone said.

"She’s just writing random stuff," another laughed.

"She’s just trying to look cool," Diana scoffed. "She doesn’t even know our topics!"

But Aurora didn’t say a word. She just kept typing, her eyes focused, her expression calm.

More time passed.

Thirty minutes later, she had already written pages of code, and no one knew what it meant. Some started whispering again.

"She’s wasting her time."

"She messed up."

"She’s just trying to save her pride."

But the judge leaned closer. His eyes were locked on her screen.

He finally understood—Aurora was building an AI.

An actual program that could think and solve problems.

"Why is she doing that?" he wondered.

Then, after forty-five minutes, Aurora finally stopped typing and looked up.

"Alright," she said. "Now, give me your question papers."

One by one, students walked over and placed their mini project topics in front of her. There was a mix of confusion and curiosity on their faces.

Aurora took the first question and typed it into the AI she built.

The AI started processing.

Then... it gave a solution.

But when someone ran the code, it didn’t work.

Everyone burst out laughing.

"I knew it!" Diana laughed. "She wasted all that time!"

"She thought she could make an AI in forty-five minutes? That’s crazy!"

Some students even patted Aurora on the shoulder, trying to look kind. "Don’t worry. Just... don’t be so full of yourself next time."

Aurora ignored them.

She kept working.

She added a few more lines to her AI—adjusting things, improving it—and then turned to everyone.

"Now," she said, and paused the stopwatch, "I’m done."

She stood back and pointed at the screen.

"Type any of your questions in this box, and the AI will give you the correct code. No mistakes."

The students looked at each other.

Then one brave kid stepped up and typed in his topic.

The AI blinked once.

Code appeared.

He copied it, ran it, and—

It worked perfectly.

Everyone stared.

Another student ran to the laptop. Then another. And another.

Each time, the AI gave them perfect code. Every. Single. Time.

The room was stunned.

Diana’s heart started beating faster—like it was about to jump out of her chest. Her face felt hot, her hands were cold, and her eyes wouldn’t stop darting around the room. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

Aurora... that girl... had actually done it.

The AI worked.

Every project. Every code. No mistakes.

And now, everyone was staring at her like she was a genius.

But what made Diana feel really scared wasn’t just the students’ reactions.

It was the look on Judge Blake’s face.

His eyes were shining as he watched Aurora work. He was clearly impressed. Amazed, even. It was like he was seeing something rare. Something powerful.

And that made Diana terrified.

Because Blake wasn’t just some random judge. He was Blake Hensley, one of the most famous young developers in the country. He had worked on top-secret tech projects. His name was huge in the industry.

Diana’s parents knew that.

That’s why they had pulled all the strings to invite him as a guest judge for the school’s coding competition.

They wanted Blake to notice Diana.

They told her, "Shine in front of him. Make sure he sees how smart you are. Then maybe he’ll mentor you, or join our company. Then we’ll rise."

They had even helped her cheat.

They got the project questions ahead of time and told Diana to memorize the answers. All she had to do was look perfect today and make Blake think she was a rising star.

But now... all of that was ruined.
