Chapter 755: Chapter 164: The Fire Crane Has Faded with the Clouds_1

In no time, the personal guards around Prince Moore and the matriarch You Yue’er had all entered the battlefield. Just as You Yue’er, the matriarch, had summoned the hell black dragon, her guardian deity, the spell consumed a considerable amount of her mana. Now, with great difficulty, she summoned two "Asura Rippers" wielding sheep horn shears, and no longer dared to summon more. She cautiously kept them by her side for self-protection. Prince Moore Benitez also drew his sword in preparation for defending himself, and the situation had deteriorated to its worst.

Deploying troops to defend both flanks made the meat shield troops, which were already scarce within the fallen elf army, even thinner. This made the original chaos even more tumultuous. The delay in the frontline caused the lack of sufficient preparation space for the River Immortal warriors, and it was anyone’s guess as to how much concentrated fire damage the gamma rays could inflict.

As expected, the innate magic of the Saline Kui Niu was "Light of Sluggishness". No army from any country on the Aegean Continent would want to encounter such a negative effect during a melee, especially when faced with a bloodthirsty Magical Beast with astonishing divine power and a passive stamina aura. The Drow priests riding the white tigers desperately tried to dispel this negative effect, yet couldn’t keep up with the speed at which the Saline Kui Niu was spreading it. The three-legged Golden Toad was even more outrageous. It was a rare metal-series magical beast. This three-webbed magical beast had a naturally occurring "metal resistant skin", a natural armour that had similar effects to the renowned "bipolar dragon skin" of the seven-colored dragon. However, unlike the seven-colored dragon’s skin, which could repel and attract metals, the three-legged golden toad could only repel metals. But even this function was terrifying. All metal weapons coming within half a yard of the three-legged golden toad would be deflected by its strange metal-repelling abilities. The glands in the eyes of the three-legged golden toad didn’t spray poisonous sap but instead, shot out egg-sized gold pellets. Being hit by one was not much different from being struck by a meteor hammer.

Under the powerful onslaught of these two magical beasts, gaps were soon busted open in the flanks of the fallen elf army. Despite the smaller numbers, the constant influx of magical beasts turned the battle into a melee. If it weren’t for the transformed Drow and the Forest Guardians using their scorpion claws and root-like right hands as weapons respectively, the fallen elves’ forces, armed with only great swords and broken blades, along with the dark knights, skeleton soldiers, and river immortals, would have been trampled by the singularly destructive prowess of the three-legged golden toad with its "metal-resistant skin". Commander "Nightcrawler" Jalincha was also thrown into close combat and those specialized soldiers carefully nurtured by the Drow temple lived up to their dangerous reputation. The dark energy caused Jalincha’s muscles to surge, transforming him into a flaming mummy warrior, five meters tall and burning with black flame. He was brandishing a black bone sickle and having a great duel with Saline Kui Niu. The two senior Moore mages also fought fiercely on the back of the Blood Infant and a three-legged golden toad. You Yue’er, the matriarch, was so frustrated she could spit blood. The special Drow troops, the "Forest Guardians", had plant-based magic that could temporarily transform trees into treant warriors. However, the terrain here was saline-alkali, and apart from the clumps of Reedshader Lampgrass in the Salino Swamp, there were no substantial fungi nearby, let alone treant warriors. Even summoning grass and moss warriors proved to be a problem.

The only piece of good news was that the Aerial riders of the fallen elves slowly regained the upper hand. The aerial combat zone was too packed. If the six-winged flame demon were still here, a flick of its double whip would have brought down a group. But once restrained by Gerain, the thick-skinned, two-headed Chimera relied on its numerical advantage to fiercely contend with the Tuholuo crow swarm.

The only ones with a clear upper hand were Liu Zhenhan’s troops in the frontal battlefield, where the enemy forces were the most vigorous and dense. As the golden figures rolled away, the mammoth heavy cavalry charged in from two gaps at the foot of the volcano. The lord and the militia charged through the gap between the two golden figures. A colossal volcano crevice was blocked by these three hundred Bimon warriors, obstructing all paths.

The speed of the Ymir minotaurs was incredibly slow. Ironically, Liu Zhenhan, who was lodged in the middle of the crevice, was the first to collide with the magical beast army. The Ymir minotaurs wielded the power of their mighty stone shields and launched a barbaric charge, hoping to squash their smaller opponents into a meat patty.

There was a loud "bang" as the stone shield in the hands of the Ymir minotaur turned into flying dust. The minotaur, with its tall and strong body, was embedded with a brilliant golden totem pillar and flew back, knocking over the crowd of magical beasts behind. Before other Ymir minotaurs’ made sense of the surprise, Liu Zhenhan, following their example, executed a wild charge of his own. The Bimon Overlord, covered in thick stone skin, had his tough reasons for this move. Not only was he wrapped in skin as tough as stone, but he also had a water barrier shield enveloping him. Moreover, with the mithril arm acting as a battering ram, the Bimon Overlord was like a plow, forming a huge gap in the army of magical beasts. The porcupine-like Bimon warriors thereafter expanded this gap. The Ymir minotaurs who tried to fill this gap were ensnared in Liu’s set of four "solid cobweb arts", sticking a wide range together. Liu picked up a club off the floor and went on a wild beating spree on the squirming cobweb.
