Chapter 720: Chapter 154 Spreading the Seeds of Crack_1
The Blood Elf Knights, having repeatedly witnessed their mounts being brutally killed, pointed the finger of suspicion at the Drow Dark Elves of Mosoburada. Unfortunately, a Troll, half-eaten, just happened to be discovered in the Insect Basin where the Drow keep their wolf-legged spiders, by a Moore Knight searching for his mount. Faced with the Moore’s interrogation, the outnumbered Drow naturally refused to answer. When asked to give a reasonable explanation why a Troll would appear in the Insect Basin, and be eaten in half, the Dark Elves responded with derision.
The eight Drow matriarchs and the director of martial techniques were conducting a corruption ceremony in the Rose Temple and the Nest Farmer Temple. The high-ranking Drow Elves left in the city of Mosoburada were a few priests, and the Blood Elf Knights were the Prince’s private troops. Being accustomed to arrogance, they didn’t give a damn about the priests. They were used to oppressing others, and this injustice would not be taken lightly. Drow Elves can’t stand the sunlight and always hamper the plans of the Moore Blood Elves to return to the surface. The Blood Elf Knights have long harbored resentment, and this incident finally sparked a clash. The conflict quickly escalated from verbal altercations to physical scuffles, which then turned into a massive fight.
The Blood Elf Knight who had questioned the Drow was outnumbered and beaten up by a group of Dark Elves. The more the situation escalated, the more Drow joined in, and the Knight was sent running in a cloud of dust. He stumbled back into the Rose Temple, followed by the Dark Elves who were already gaining momentum. Even Prince Moore was included in their targets, attacking him with a flurry of kicks and punches. They didn’t dare to fatally wound anyone, but they were bold enough to throw stones picked up from the ground.
Among the Drow, many didn’t even understand why they were fighting with Moore. Many of them were simply joining the chaos, stirred perhaps by a certain sense of shared hatred against a common enemy.
Even the Moore Knights, originally somewhat restrained, became enraged after hearing the pleas of their comrades and the Prince being caught in the chaotic crowd. A few dozen Moore Knights, who were known for their violent temperament, could bear no more and launched a brave counterattack. These Blood Elf Knights, being the elite guards of the palace, and well-trained in both magic and combat skills, were easily overpowering a group of Drow who were mostly local ruffians unfamiliar with cooperation and attack strategy.
The sight of their superior formation immediately scattered the Dark Elves. A dozen or so Blood Elf Knights gave chase, attacking from behind, with Fat Luo also joining in the chaos. One of the Drow, either mis-aimed or deliberately provoked, spat a spider-web onto Fat Luo’s face. Infuriated, Fat Luo ripped off the spider-web that could cover an Elf but only half of his gigantic thigh. He crouched down to pick up a fallen Elf scimitar from the ground and swung it at the offending Drow, who, despite having eight legs, couldn’t outrun the two-legged Mammoth Knife Saint and was knocked down with a scream.
Prince Moore Benitez, rubbing his face and urging his guards to stop the chase, didn’t want to stir up trouble on others’ turf. But today’s event had truly angered him. Guoguo and the parrot were hanging on the Prince’s clothes with a smirk, appearing to have caused some mischief.
Vieri and Iverson, both indifferent to the situation, were still savoring their kebabs, thoroughly enjoying the show. They set off an atmosphere of provocation by whistling loudly, giving Rodman a thumbs-up, subtly emphasizing their superiority – no Drow dared to provoke them.
Mosoburada City was a large Drow city after all. Not long after the Drow scattered, dozens of tightly arranged Knight teams arrived. Elf Birdwing Battlescars, each drawn by two two-meter-tall Wolf-legged Spiders, carrying hundreds of Drow Knights, swooped in, encircling the Prince and his Blood Elf Knights. The long-legged spiders hissed, and the Drow Knights on the Birdwing Battlescars aimed their long moon choppers and dark arrows menacingly at the Blood Elves, seizing the three indifferent island poison jade in passing.
"Drop your weapons!" A Drow officer, crawling his Nest Farmer Giant Scorpion mount menacingly slowly, was torturing the nerves of the besieged Blood Elves. The Bat Troll had to sprint for liftoff and the run-off area was now blocked, leaving the bats hanging under the eaves. Even if the bouncy Blood Elf Sword Chants managed to break out of the hundreds of Wolf-legged Spider Battlescars’ barricade, without the Bat Troll, there’s no way to escape from Mosoburada.
