Chapter 662: Chapter 139: Great Confluence of Decadence_4

"Wait a moment." Liu Zhenhan immediately sensed something was amiss: "How did you know that there happens to be an underground current in the Sky Ladder well above Flame Mountain Valley? I know that the underground sky is at least 10,000 meters high. How did you fly up there? Can your Cow-Eagle People fly up to 10,000 meters high?"

"The valley where the Difeng Giants reside has always been the highest terrain in the Furious Flame Continent. Because of these giants’ traditional high habitation, the sky above Flame Mountain Valley is much lower than other parts of the Furious Flame Continent, probably only around 1,000 meters. Not all underground skies reach 10,000 meters high as you mentioned; our underground sky is made of dirt with some places thicker and some thinner, which is normal. The homes chosen by these Difeng Giants are right at the nearest places to the sky." As the Blood Elf mage spoke, a sense of pride emerged: "That’s why our Cow-Eagle People can fly so high."

"Is the sky from here only 1,000 meters high?" Liu Zhenhan scrutinized the pitch-black sky overhead. It was too dark to see anything clearly. Daisy and Old Liu exchanged a look and Daisy nodded, then used instant teleport to ascend into the sky.

"Could you tell me how you knew that there was a well ladder in the sky here?" Liu Zhenhan turned to look at the Blood Elf, scoffing, "You live on the second underground level of the Black Domain Continent. Don’t tell me that from the day you were exiled to the underground, you haven’t forgotten to survey the trend of the underground sky. Your elves don’t have the ability to fly."

"Had it not been for your Beamon’s Bode Clan coming down here to the underground, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity. We owe you Beamon a thank you." The Blood Elf mage presented a gracious smile.

"So, in the end, you all still want to return to the ground." Liu Zhenhan suddenly realized, smirking.

"Who would forget Xiang Pa? Who would forget Emperor Polo? Who would forget the scent of flowers? Who would forget the light drizzle?" The Blood Elf Mage laughed manically, "We Moore Elves have been exploring non-stop for hundreds of years, but we have never found a suitable well ladder to open up a path back to the surface! It wasn’t until last year, after ceasefire negotiations with the evil Drow, that we learnt that even the Drow, who fears the sunlight, have not given up their dreams of returning to the surface! We actually had the same idea!"

"Do you know how long the road back to the surface would have to be?" Liu Zhenhan calculated, "It would be at least 30,000 meters... no, at least 50,000 meters!"

"Even if we only dug 100 meters per year, we could wait for 500 years! Elves live for 2000 years! What is there to fear?" The Blood Elf mage couldn’t hide a sense of smugness, "Here we have tens of millions of stone-jawed cave dwellers; their mouths are very good at digging and making holes. With them, a height of 50,000 meters won’t be a difficult task."

"You can’t fly. The levitation technique of the Elves is laughable at best, allowing you only to leave the ground for about 100 feet. Even if you have taken over the Difeng Giant Valley, and acquired the closest route to the well ladder, how will you fly there?" Daisy suddenly appeared beside Liu Zhenhan, a trace of disdain appeared on her lips as she spoke, "Cow-Eagle People can carry cave dwellers because of their small size. If they have to carry you, they will probably not be able to fly 1,000 meters high, right?"

"You don’t need to worry about that." The Blood Elf Mage couldn’t help but retort, "How could you comprehend the wisdom of our Elves?"

"If I may ask, since you have failed today, will there be another large team coming in a few days to seize this valley?" Liu Zhenhan asked with a wry smile.

"Of course." The Blood Elf Mage looked at the Beamon in front of him with interest, "Previously, we didn’t want to quarrel with the Difeng Giants because it wouldn’t be worth spending soldiers for you. But now, we have reached a preliminary understanding with the Dark Elves, and we need a pathway back to the surface. What do you think we will do?"

"You are indeed strong. Haven’t I heard that the Beamon on the surface had been defeated by the treacherous Mank Tribe? And you still have such strong strength?" A Blood Elf Mage also couldn’t help but interject, "Originally, we planned to merge our two forces of 8000 each to attack two different Difeng Giant Valleys. But we couldn’t even defeat you. You are indeed formidable. Even with our elite Sword Chant fighters and hundred-year dwarf warriors, how many nations in the Surface World are as strong as yours now?"

"His ability to come to the Underground World via the underground air currents already proves he is powerful, but there aren’t many like him on the Surface World." The Blood Elf Mage glanced coldly at his companions. "I swear."

"Eight thousand centaurs, indeed a lot more than I expected." Liu Zhenghan shook his head with a wry smile. Even though they won this battle, it was a ridiculous victory. Though he still had his secret weapon, the huge bomb, he hadn’t used it yet. If the recent fight hadn’t broken the dwarves’ will, once the Golden Figures of Yunqin cooled down, Liu Zhenghan would inevitably summon the Musketeers to air drop double the amount of huge bombs, causing total havoc.

Fighting with Dwarf Soldiers was so difficult! The more Liu Zhenghan thought about it, the more his back ached. This was the first time he had been bent over in exhaustion. The combat power of these dwarves wasn’t anything special, but their short stature, coupled with the abundant iron in the underground equipping them like solid iron blocks, was incredibly annoying. If these fellows were on the Surface World, it would certainly cause chaos.

Liu Zhenghan then felt he might have been overestimating them, these Gray Dwarves had only fought desperately because they were forced into this situation. If it had been a flat terrain, they probably would have fled long ago. Looking at the casualty ratio on the battlefield, 30% were killed in direct combat, and 70% were slaughtered while fleeing. If it came to chasing and killing, these Gray Dwarves perhaps weren’t that difficult to handle at all.

When a person dares to fight to death, they truly become a formidable opponent. Liu Zhenghan looked at the four captured Moorish Elf Mages with a long sigh. He had originally feared that the twenty Blood Elf Mages would create a huge mess, but it turned out they were the weakest link.

"Aside from you guys, Dark Elves also participated in the attack on the other two Difeng Giant Valleys, right?" Liu Zhenghan hurriedly asked.

"Exactly." The Blood Elf Mage nodded, "Telling you this doesn’t matter. Though you are powerful, compared to the two large Elf Kingdoms, your strength is negligible. If it weren’t for our Blood Elves immersing themselves in the Elemental Power, even a thousand Archers who mastered the traditional bow and arrow would have made today’s battle less easy for you."

"Damn." Liu Zhenghan’s heart chilled. He thought of the two Difeng Valleys and Antelope Warriors soon facing the Dark Elves. Even if the opponents didn’t have the torrential rain to repel the Hellfire Giants, they could still use their bows and arrows to exhaust them to death.

"Rest assured, ninety-nine percent of the underground Dark Elves gave up studying archery centuries ago." The Blood Elf Mage seemed to see through Liu Zhenghan’s worries and scoffed, "This isn’t about forgetting our roots. Because the fallen elves have more powerful magic attacks than arrows, so it makes sense to neglect archery. It’s said that after we were exiled to the underground, the Great Elf Empire fell apart, even the Druids separated from the elves and formed their own group. Now, if we two fallen elves return to the surface, which elf would dare to protest? It’s about time for these self-proclaimed righteous elves to taste what it’s like to live in darkness for ten thousand years."

"Let’s make a deal." Liu Zhenghan proposed, "I will send you back, and on behalf of all Difeng Giants and Antelope Men, I will offer your king a peace proposal which would be quite appealing to everyone. Everyone stops fighting, how does that sound?"

"What terms?" The Blood Elf Mage showed an expected sneer.

"A good plan that can get you back to the surface." Liu Zhenghan smiled and squinted his eyes.
